The Excelling Value of Algebra

The Excelling Value of Algebra

By Elton Camp

Of everything that I’ve studied on earth,
Algebra proved to have the most worth.
From it don’t be led astray.
Later, you use it every day.

Whether you become a farmer or actor,
Many times expressions you will factor.
And quadratic equations are such a delight.
You will come to use them day and night.

It’s just wonderful to be able
To use a logarithmic table.
To succeed in life you have no hope
Unless you’re able to determine slope.

Multiplying binomials is a useful skill.
On a resume, it gives the boss a thrill.
Knowing how perfect square trinomials to solve
Can very easily be the key to getting a better job.

For inequalities to know all about
Has much practical value, no doubt.
Exponents everybody surely does need.
And to solve them with greatest speed.

Strive to learn the values of X and Y.
If you can’t, you might as well die.
Algebra is just essential to learn
If a decent living you hope to earn.

The Three Categories of People

THE THREE CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE

At the zenith great men stood unopposed
Exonerated people of great wisdom and wealth
The earth is their point of arrival and departure
Terminus ad quo and terminus ad quem
Always excelling at the slightest opportunity
Success! Their pinnacle of glory
They make things happen”.

In the middle mediocres squat opposed
Thou they find themselves comfortable where they are
Making no effort to move forward
Always ready to serve the lords of the pinnacle
Yet they feel like waking up at the peak
Imagining the world to be a place of existence
They try to make things happen but lack the will”.

Down are struggling large multitudes of people
Who blame the world for what they are
They are mask men to themselves
Value can never be attached to their life
Surely existing not living in a world of theirs
Inferiority personified, pathetic without vision
Looking and not seeing, hearing and not listening
Ready to embrace whatever comes their way
Pessimistic persons with great dreams they can’t realize.
They watch things happen”.

WHERE DO YOU BELONG?

Lord, thank You for saving…
…my condemned life that was bound to hell
By Your grace, excelling compassionately well
With Your redemption* so that in heaven I can surely dwell
Transforming me from rebelliousness thru the Gospel!

Lord, thank You for rescuing…
…my sinful soul from the lake of fire
By Your love, fulfilling the perfect sacrifice You did require
With Your pardon acquitting me from penalty of sin’s mire
Making me Your child, tamed by Your kindness that doesn’t expire!

Lord, thank You for winning…
…my arrogant nature from filthiness
By Your mercy, vanquishing evil and wickedness
With Your justification for my righteousness
Enabling me to strive for holiness!

Lord, thank You for prevailing over…
…my vain faith in false religion
By Your Scriptures, rebuking every idolatrous region
With Your truths to free me from abomination’s dungeon
Snatching me from the devil’s deceiving legion!

Lord, thank You for converting…
…my deceitful heart midst pride’s deadly cost
By Your humility, reaching out to the lost
With Your power and might of the Holy Ghost
Leading me to submit to You, serving with my best and utmost!

Lord, thank You for cleansing…
…my self-willed personality from carnality’s impurity
By Your sanctification, purging every worldliness, and vanity
With Your purification from any iniquity
Blessing me in obeying Your authority!

Lord, thank You for driving…
…my uncertain future to Your direction from terrible disaster
By Your omniscience, controlling all events as the Master
With Your victory against tribulation's setter
Guiding me to aspire for Christ-like character!

*1Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

MY GRANDMA DEEMMA

My Grandma, whom I called Deemma
bathed me in showers of limitless love and blessings.
Those feelings I am still carrying in my life.
Deemma! An ideal hostess not to even guess,
most competent in domestic chores and household management
Grandpa! An unsuccessful lawyer with irregular income low and slow.
Deemma met up his inefficiency, never blaming rather running ideal family.

Off and on, in vacations, I had spent days with her.
She narrated her life-long struggle and concluded‘While raising up kids,
whole day’s ceaseless work made me frantically fatigued.
At late night I had to seek for a small space to throw myself in bed.
Yet, as I took glance on sleeping faces of my kids,
I realized, I as the happiest woman in the world.’

She had only primary education permissible for women in those days.
But her craze reached her daughters and son to succeed as toppers

She was my idol holding extraordinary skill in sewing, knitting, embroidering.
All the dresses of her grand kids were stitched by her.
Lots of charming dolls excelling in handicrafts were gifted to me.
Once she voiced to me ‘You call me Deemma, a typical address to old lady.
Dear my child, I am aged, but mind is still young not coping up with body.’

Now being a Grandma I had to sense the same ruthless truth.
She had bestowed me compassion and care in opulence.
I got no scope to repay but only to offer my gratitude as tribute in silence.
Trying to honor with my tribute roaming through reminiscence.

Departure from the land of death and dying

Enter a beautiful, perfect land of the truly alive

Also, when faced with death's call, some introspection

Take into account how we are living

Honing in on values and priorities

1 Corinthians 15: 55-58

55 O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; 57 but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].

John 11: 25

25 Jesus said to her, “[a]I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies;

All the funerals Jesus attended:

Luke 7: 11-17
Matthew 9: 18
John 11: 38-40

He brought the person back to life.

Our last pet passed yesterday. Even the death of a pet brings to life thoughts of death and our beliefs. I am deeply saddened by the loss.

Beauty Personified

I was lost in your cherubic face,
Searching places of great elegence,
Your eyes like two perfected diamonds,
Your skin like the fair greeny fields,
Where farmers longs to get greater yields,
Such perfection my eyes never saw

Your hair was pure and long,
As the wind blew it to and fro,
My heart did imagine,
My mind did wonder,
Is this beauty a work of wisdom?
Is this beauty conspiracy of fine art?
Is it the magnificence of the creator's hands?
Such perfection my eyes never saw

My eyes are typically sceptical,
My mind continously critical,
Yet I found you flawless,
Excelling above the others,
With talking lashes,
And walking teeth,
Like white sheep in the fair fields,
Such perfection my eyes never saw

Some said your were almost there,
One step away from excellence,
A breath away from beauty magnificence,
I saw you, I saw light
Your beauty your light, your light your might,
Against all sceptism and criticism,
Your were beauty personified,
Such perfection my eyes never saw

Premium Member Persuasions of a Sojourning Moon

Her supple and shapely silhouette rests submissively
as the luster upon the soft satin sheets arouses
sensual images of salaciousness beneath the sheen surface

My empty yet enduring eyes slowly engage the darkness
eager to embark upon the elusive lines energizing the elation
as a sojourning moon entices her to endear

Her excelling exuberance... exploited on exhalation
exposing her explicitly, exemplifying the excerpt
of an exonerated experience as the moonlight expires

Incertitude

Incertitude
Who am I...?
Am I the first born son, emanating from a fire of passion?
Am I the long lost hope, rekindled, ravenous in the eyes of my forebears?
Am I the caressed cocoon, spun out of love and compassion?
Whose silken threads, entice and embellish the vain vanity of its wanton wearers?
Am I a prodding prodigy,
Aimed at excelling in every sphere ?
Am I, a porous sponge, meant to absorb every single human emotion, a mortal can bear?
Am I a doted upon enduring exemplar or a doomed ephemeral effigy?
Am I the mellow and musky mist, exuding from a bare bosom?
Am I the naive, reticent lover, imperfect, yet dearest to my beloved?
Am I the longing in her eyes, a hypnotic hum?
Am I mere an object of desire- usurped, used, seduced, shoved?
Would I be another mere mortal among the countless thriving throng?
Lashed by grief, aged by time, thwarted by fear and smitten by love?
Would I be a forgotten fable or a perennial song?
Would I be remembered as -
A peacock- proud of its plumage,
An Owl- sombre yet subtle , of a lettered lineage,
A nightingale-serenading a song touching the core ,
A mystic bird from an ancient lore,
or , a dove – cygnet soft , gentle sitting on an alcove?
Oh Time! Tarry! A little,
Before I transcend from this world to the other,
Hark ! I plead, solve this riddle.
Oh Wind! Carry away my doubts to the omniscient;
Rush against all odds, be it a mighty mountain or a rampant ridge.
Time is running, I dread to lose myself in this mystic maze,
Oh Almighty! Accept my venerations to you my liege,
Enlighten me , before my mortal remains is set ablaze.

So proud of you Bella
AKA Lieutenant Kemp
You've grown to quite woman
In the Air Force, not a wimp

Still excelling as you do
With more effort than appears
In the top of all your classes
You are wise beyond your years

Always there to lend a hand
A rock for every friend
They know you've always got their backs
On you they may depend

Learn a lesson from yourself
Real friends should be the same
You may depend when you need them
Part of the friendship game

Wrote this to remind you
That though we're Gram and Pop
We're always friends here for you
And that will never stop

So proud of you Lily
To us always a star
With an angel's voice for singing
That's just part of who you are

Excelling now in college
As you have for all your years
You've always entertained us
You are music to our ears

The world can be your apple
You may take a bite or two
Believe as much in your own self
As we believe in you

Wrote this to remind you
That though we're Gram and Pop
We'll always be your biggest fans
And that will never stop

What I Would Have To Give To Once Again Relieve

Advantages to grasp
Burning, bursting ready
Culminating, calming , collecting giving confidence
Driving to thrive, and blossom
Excelling. encouraging, ensuring ,eliminating wasteful thoughts
Firing, flourishing, fetching fury
Giving generous time to scholarly pursuits
High hopes, high tides, high cheer
Interest in schoolwork, initiation from self
Jonquils blooming, shining, enlivening and prancing
Keen awareness of self
Longing for future rather than past
Multifaceted structure only adds flair
Navigation among the webs
Overpowering the obstacles
Pure satisfaction from everything
Quirks that add to charm
Realistic goals never replace idealistic dreams
So inaccessible and complex
Tales to be woven with memories and jewelry
Unknown to masses, interpreted by select circles
Values drift yet remaining reachable
Whipping dreams, whipping hopes, waiting eagerly
Xinshi flowing creatively and forcefully
Youth and freshness shine
Zenith of glory nears

Shaggy Dog Limericks V

Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Toller)

To “toll” is to dance like a fox
Luring mallards or teals to the rocks
Where a hunter’s awaiting
What the dog has been baiting
Scaring duckies right out of their jocks

The Old English Sheepdog

I’m partial to dogs that are shaggy
That are goofy and sweet and not naggy
They only see good
From their eyes under hood
So it’s sad that their tails aren’t waggy*

*Like Boxers, their tails are docked

The Papillon

Considered more missy than mensch
(Butterfly’s the translation from French)
In private is seen
With a king or a queen
And in public with Dame Judi Dench

The Pekingese

At a Cantonese restaurant with luck
One can still find some things for a buck
But imagine my shock
When the place down the block
Ran a special on Pekingese duck

The Pit Bull

The Pitty despite what you hear
Is not vicious at all but quite dear
It will sit like a dove
With its eyes full of love
While it slowly devours your ear

The Pomeranian (Pom)

The Pom is a kind of a spitz
A Chihuahua with fur in a ditz
The type of a pooch
You can cuddle and smooch
Or show off with a date at the Ritz

The Poodle

The Poodle is known for its smarts
For excelling at music and arts
But an owner was telling
Me after the smelling
They also blow nuclear farts

The Portuguese Water Dog

Pity the poor Portuguese
Who ended up sheets to the breeze
His bowl had been spiked
With a port that he liked
You could tell by the smell of his fleas

The Pug

Behold the repug-a-nant Pug
With a mug that resembles a thug
Though their owners observe
What they really deserve
Is not scorn but a cuddling hug

The Rhodesian Ridgeback

I bought one of these for a dollar
It said Phi Beta Kap on its collar
I later found out
(Though not without doubt)
It had been a Rhodesian scholar

I Hate Hoodrats

I hate hoodrats,
To me they are no match.
I hate them with the passion.
I always prayed in the hood,
As a child, that when I got
Grown I would go buck wild
Beating anyone their backend mass,
Because they are low class,
They make sure that the strong,
Black family existence is a thing
Of the past. I hate their food stamp
Selling, never excelling, treacherous
Trashy tails. They are sell-outs,
Because they let the government
Bail them out and enslave them,
Our men, and beautiful children
They are hindering progress of the future.
I wish that there were sharp-shooters,
That would zap all of them in the back of,
Their red, orange, purple, and blue hair.
They walk around without a care,
In the world. They are lost souls.
Sold out to Satan wrecking the Black nation.
They cause other strong Black women from
The hood that have a little success, a whole
Life of professional distress. I hope one day one
Hoodrat would understand, that they are part
Of Satan’s plan to rob, kill, and destroy, all
Of the little black girls and boys, and most
Of all killing the men, while causing who to win?
Satan. One day I will get enough Godly strength
To pray for them instead of physically slapping the
Hell out of them. I through prayer will slam Satan’s
Silliness out of them, but for right now as I work the
Plow and get enough knowhow. Just shame, shame ,
Shame, shame, on all of the hoodrats’ hellified names.

Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. Deliver the poor and
needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked." Though this seems to be directed at other
gods, it is good advice for humans as well. Psalm 82:3-4

When You Decide To Get Glad

Satan will drive you MAD,

When you decide to get GLAD.

That old devil thinks he is bad.

The best he had; he is mad,

That he no longer has access,

To heaven, and there he wants

No human to be dwelling. He wants

No one excelling. His motives are MAD. He

Misuses,

Abuses and

Destroys.

The things that make you GLAD

God's plans for your

Life

And it is also called your

Destiny.

So rememember from January to December

Satan lingers around you to attempt to drive

You MAD, when you decide to get GLAD.
