Healing takes time…
Not an instant, like a lightning bolt
It’s a combination of things
Changes, with practice
Boundaries with freedom
Learning lessons from old ways
Surviving through the days
There is no limit to growth
But, there are sometimes steps forward,
Then backward again
Life evolves in mysterious ways
As our being moves with it
We never know what is next
We can put things together,
Then something can break it again
Find peace in the chaos…
Find beauty in the storms…
Find yourself in the moment…
To fully live through it all…
The good, the bad, happy and sad
The ever changing weather of our lives

We'Re Evolving Backwards

we sit more than we walk
we think less than we talk

abandoning our evolution
legs are something we're not using

office blocks use finger tips
we sit, we type use phones and lips

eyes are used as we blindly consume
unnatural light in every room

hunting's not something we do
creating is for just a few

bacteria that we can't see
has changed our whole reality

us human beings top the tree
the middle and the bottom we also be

with germs always our company
closing down each country

we've never been to the floor of the seas
and we don't know how to cure disease

when we're young we are dependent
growing old lose independence

with belief a narcissist holds
we choose to think we are evolved

We beheld sun, moon, stars, because,
The Almighty buffers, like sensuous raft.

Only passion ushers us to spring,
The Almighty knows...

Multitude from natures' course, plucked
Rearranged like climate change,

Enough is enough! Eons ago we were the world
Evergreen, replenishing earth.

Now as then, solidarity reigns supreme, still,
We're so clean, so heaven bound?

Ever Evolving - Envirnonmental Free Verse

she leans in space
spins with grace
rotates, vibrates
regenerates

her only disgrace...
hosting the human race

call it abuse; our overuse
neglect with few regrets

past civilizations
cease to exist

do we believe
we're immune?

are we so arrogant
ignorant and blind
not to see reality?

generations give
generations take...

now we greedily consume
beyond what Earth
can tolerate

our convenient
extravagant lifestyles
exhaust the very one
who sustains us

remember...
it's not only about us

animals look on in disgust
should they be fortunate enough
to be alive
as our lush ecosystem
teeters off balance...
never the same

so, go ahead...

return your bottles and cans
recycle
process refuse
grow vegetables
hoard seeds

fall on your knees
weed global garden

be sure to look up
the stars are watching

toss your car and cell
tank up your fallout shelter
hide away...

think of self
that will help

vote or don't vote
gripe, grope and complain
become self sustained

innovation is a non-stop flight...
destination negation
good-bye vegetation

or...

have faith
in the human race
stop listening to
media manipulators

live each day
as best you can

Love

be free...

be thankful
for every sunrise...

live in the light
walk in the light

be a light

do right

for in our hearts
there's a will to live
the desire to give...
to respect
honor

save
our Earth

'heart'
holds the key
not just for survival
but for abundant
thriving life...

ever solving
and evolving

An Evolving Deal

I see how these people work to the hilt,
to offer themselves to a certain cause;
to take part in the so-called Project Hospitality
as they interact with all sorts of people.

An interfaith effort that takes its course in the island.
a wonderful institution that commits to people.
  with numerous endeavors and assistance given;
they're faithful enough to lead them to light.

Giving shelter to the homeless
sounds clearly as part of the Beatitudes
Feeding the hungry and caring for the sick;
exemplify the gospel attitude
that one endeavors to fulfill God's criterion.

Beautiful souls, servants of the poor!
with great admiration they represent us all.
  Like committed missionaries near and far;
a treasure, a gift, a pride of every culture.

Their smiles and hard work reflect who they are,
amid some brickbats and adversaries around;
still their foundation remains as ever
equipped with values meant for all times.

Self Portrait - Evolving

What lies behind the door,
Something you can’t see,
All the bits and pieces,
That reveal the true identity,
Of the person I call me.

A book reveals itself,
Once you open the cover,
Yet I remain a mystery,
Another unknown person,
Waiting to be discovered.

Only I hold the power,
The proverbial golden key,
That unlocks the door,
Hiding all the secrets,
Buried deep inside me.

Evolving Vivian Maier

Vivian walked a tighter path
than she would have believed.
For one with anonymity
she would be deceived.

A public figure she was not.
Her life spent between images.
And when at home it wasn't hers
that landlords brought her scrimmages.

Her photos now celebrities.
though many now are dead.
That fame for the photographer;
in death she may have led.

She opened up a world of art.
The pictures thousand words.
To leave us with as many thoughts,
she scattered with the birds.

Her wealth was an illusion
of a life seen through a shutter.
To ending on a bench meant;
an ending poor in clutter.

A death that she took nothing of
and left as unfulfilled.
While dying brought her everything
evolving in her guild.

To live on Vivian Maier how
you're time's been shared in fate.
You're talent has enriched us all.
You're life's a second take.

Premium Member Evolving Democracy

The greatest democracy to ever exist,
The democracy that fought to survive,
Is bigger than any country on Earth,
It’s governed by a healthy sex drive,

Where each generation reproduces itself,
Electing somebody who’s fitter,
Replacing the old, with one in a million,
Where one sperm is elected the winner.

And the old governing body falls by the side,
Making room for the healthy new hearts,
In every species, all over the world,
From humans to peacocks to sharks,

The greatest democracy to ever exist,
To be perfect after every election,
Is nature itself, in an evolving democracy,
The democracy of Natural Selection.

The Evolving Nature of Indifference

I am

rush of wind,
upwelling seas,
weathered rock
reforming,

libration of the
moon at play,
dust of stars
rebirthing.

I sing
among the spheres,
take mirrored water
for a canvas,

and for the gemsbok
in Namib
remain unmoved,
uncaring;

then I grow limbs,
in self reflection rise,
grow clever hands,
create anew

and stand,
a part of,
not apart from,
All That Is,

to tremble
with the energy
of suns
surging in my veins,

to choose
with brain and heart
my course among the galaxies:
coldness or compassion.

Evolving Tapestry

The threads of each new day's experience
Unconsciously are gathered to make sense
Of feelings and perceptions, joys and strife -
A tapestry of stories of my life.
The richness of the tints and hues connote
What strength and depth the images emote.
Most vibrant are the feelings newly felt
Or those that mark occasions most heartfelt.
How will this man, who fills my heart anew
With hope and love, my tapestry thereto
Emerge? Will all the strands, encompassing
This tentative rapport, form imaging
Reminding me forever of a joy,
Or of a mixed emotional alloy?

Are We Evolving?

How can this be, I think to myself,
My life is now changing, ever changing.

Sensing myself lifting into the air and no longer upon a shelf.
New dimensions, I seem to be forever transcending.

Not only me but others likewise, building something new.
As if they are also headed for better days.

As I read the scriptures I see something commented upon but by few.
Which shows an evolution of mankind out of his daze.

I see mankind coming out a dog eat dog philosophy
And headed towards a spirit of cooperation in life's forward struggle.

No longer, trying to grab what the other has won with such difficultly.
But, creating something of one's own with one's own skill, so surely.

Then standing back and smiling as another creates something new and great.
Then once again we all move forward again, inspired by each other's new day.

Then one and all can admire each other's great feat.
Where one and all can with pomp and circumstance run out and play.

Ever since world's creation
earth's reshaping is of note.
Climate-modified history records
begin about the nineteenth century.
Theories document data revealing
collective effect of change
influence climate patterns.
Paleoclimate ice age records show
solar fluctuations, volcanic strength.
Human-induced environmental threats
are minor in the big scheme
of climate change dynamics.
People should not be held responsible
for and cannot in a meaningful scope
deter circumstances of climate change.
Some say this process has to
be stopped. They also predict
dreadfully harmful outcomes to future
generations with no real suggestions
how to reverse or slow down climatic
events. Billions of dollars
have had no effect so far.

Evolving

Remember the innocent days of youth
Our smiles would brighten up the evening sky
When we believed in honesty and truth
And swore we were never going to die
Dancing happily across life's green fields
Feeling the sun's kiss upon our faces
When we didn't need protection or shields
And laughed about lacking social graces
When the world was ours to roam and explore
The give and take now an integral part
We had no clue of what would lay in store
Yet everyday was a thrilling new start

To see the world again through a child's eyes
Crystal clear without deception or guise

Ah yes many wonderful childhood days
All too soon they are lost forevermore
Remembered only in a passing haze
Washed away like sand on a distant shore
What is left behind is reality
As we seek and search for our place within
But with such diminished vitality
Uncomfortable now in our own skin
For like the four seasons changing our view
We don't recognize who we have become
So we try to go on and muddle through
And to our fears we try not to succumb

Yearning for those blissful days so long gone
When each new morn held rainbows in its dawn

Now life has settled into a routine
As we strive hard to try and forge ahead
Like a constantly rewinding still scene
On new ground now we barely ever tread
These middle years like slow mental climbers
Preparing us for when we do grow old
When we will be considered old-timers
And won't have to fit a desired mold
Through the aging returns freedom once more
As responsibility slips away
And we start to feel as we did before
Before our happy childhoods went astray

Oh the changing cycle, from birth to death
Filling each day with promise on its breath

Rising expectantly to greet each morn
Knowing that soon time will be ours no more
Our thoughts between earth and heaven are torn
As we battle through our internal war
For to leave all we have loved is so hard
Yet we yearn to see the world up above
From our time on earth, our souls are quite scarred
Needing to be touched once more by great love
In silent dreams we see the promised land
Peace now settling in our hearts and minds
As time slips through life's hourglass like sand
And our memory so slowly unwinds

We ride the chariot to take us home
In heaven our souls will now freely roam

Premium Member Evolving Love

Before, i believe to love at first sight..
I was so young, easy to excite...
Heartbeats fast, hard to fight..
All colorful, not that white...

While, i am growing old..
Gradually, aside from feelings thinking get involve..
I realize, i began to evolve..
Weighing as day to day, i revolve...

Love seems an untouchable treasure chest..
Waiting to be discovered, nurtured in zest..
Practically, anyone to insist as it exist...
When it land truly, difficult to resist..

Yet, blessed really you are..
If such feeling, land by your arms..
As sometimes, persons wait for a lifetime..
Causing them so so much even a dime..

Bewildered, one may feel..
Let it go, be free to peel..
Not of skin nor of heel..
Rather of heart nothing but real..
