Best Entrusting Poems
Essence melancholic bemoans, echoing soul’s doleful cry
When clamors of unrequited love, earnestly amplify,
Bruised yearnings of deep desires, as lovelorn heart sighs,
For the longings of shattered passions, tearing her eyes.
Deep feelings of emptiness, no longer can she bear,
Burning with intensity, as wistful flames of rejection flare,
From the void of emotions, from sinful, loveless affair,
Bawling now in frustration, blaring anguish of despair.
Soul grieves for love elusive, she believed to be true,
The kind that blossoms hearts; and doting minds woo,
Alas! It was a tantalizing allure, irrevocably gone askew,
An illusion, alike gems, refracting from morning dew.
Soul rises from abandonment, escaping abyss of grief,
Deploying enlightenment, vying calm of ethereal relief,
As cohesion and congruity reconnect to angelic bliss,
Releasing negative feelings, rekindling love-vibes amiss.
Spirits reinvigorated emerge from dreaded goodbye
As soul’s insight redirects influence of love drifting awry,
Exiting barren desert, to find oasis on the other side,
Entrusting mystique of love, passions romantic confide.

When I feel puzzled and perplexed,
When in the maze of conflicting thoughts, I am held,
Wondering how to proceed and reach the port,
Then Faith in God comes handy to my aid
Over the turbulent waves, as I get tossed,
The promise of His Word gives me courage.
His everlasting love, I feel in my heart.
On my scars it serves as a safe bandage
All I pray is to give me grace to adhere to a strong faith,
To navigate the complexities of existence,
To find meaning and purpose in this transient life,
And from the pestilences of life, to acquire resistance!
Yet, frail I am and when through trials and tribulations as I pass,
And when they upset my balance leaving me unsteady,
To you Lord, earnestly I beseech, not to let me down,
Never allowing me to get drowned in the eddy.
In this vast universe and in its amazing wonders
From the mountains high and the oceans deep
I see the working of your Providential hand,
That from death and all dangers our lives keep.
When questions arise shaking my trust and faith,
All I wish is to fully abide by Your Word,
Entrusting my body and my soul into Your loving hands,
And like a child cling on to the safety of Thy hold.

In God’s perfect time
their hearts tied by love divine
now wondrously bear marriage contract seal
upon sublime altar date
conquering pandemic’s threat
through faith in the omnipotent Saviour
along His supreme sovereign approval
midst parents’ delightful consent and jubilant favour…
Blissfully expressing “I do”
the couple triumphantly expressed
their blessed marital vows~
~he in his preacher’s assertive voice
~she by her melodious tone
declaring faithfulness to each other
and support for one another
before witnesses: the church congregation, families, friends…
Reverberating music, “Household of Faith”
accompanied officiating minister’s spirited prayer
as ceremonially, they are clothed as one
and bound together scripturally
to live as one flesh*, fulfilling God’s will in their lives.
To the newly weds: Alvrich and Jade
we joyously celebrate this day with you
thanking the Lord for your lives, brought together
by His infinite purpose, marvelous plan, and gracious power
while entrusting you as a couple to His goodness
in building your home and ministry
all for His honour and glory.
*Matthew 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Epithalamium
My love, you roped all the stars for me
My life you held in your hands
As children we swam in cold blue seas
Sculpting castles in warm wet sands
My fairy tale prince in childhood dreams
Certain that I’d marry you
You garnered my sun and my moon beams
Time passed, my love only grew
Entrusting whispered secrets to keep
Guarding hopes and dreams with care
Twin souls in love, impassioned and deep
No doubts you’d always be there
Alas forever, was meant to be
Three days before we were wed
A fool and drink took your life from me
I wanted to die instead
Such pain I’d never known in my life
My soul surely broke in two
My heart was pierced with grief’s jagged knife
The seam of my life unglued
My heart, my soul, I’ll miss you forever
I feel you though I can’t see
My tears will fall 'til we’re together
Without you I'm half of me.

When I recall the tenebrous, gruesome shadows
Shrouding our lives conjuring deaths and sorrows,
In my vantage-point, I envision a massive bridge
Standing there resolutely over turbulent waters
Beckoning me avidly to cross over to tomorrow
Promising the other side is now within my reach
And travails of the yore will soon be behind me.
Yet, I feel fear gripped in jaws of deadly throes
And sense saddened tears fretting abyss of woes
So I summon courage, spurring resolve to cope,
Drawing assurances in embrace of my beloved
Entrusting-- in despair too-- grow seeds of hope
Believing in the promise of scientists, medicines,
And heroes who sacrifice in service of humanity.
Beyond that bridge are the pristine green prairies
Cheerfully inviting me to joy of winsome spring
Where glee of vibrant season burbles in streams
Washing away remnants of yesteryears’ misery
Frozen in gelid winters when lives were stilled,
As I continue trekking to dreams of my dawning
Aiming to arrive there clasping strength of family.

Comfort wrapped in a blanket of security
Never fearing the chance of brutality
Only a freedom granted to those with fair skin
Greeted by the warmth of idiocy
Building a racist system of legacy
With followers who exhibit stupidity
But useful in killing democracy
To continue their self fulfilling prophecy
Of forced superiority
A politicians smile brings a darkness
Poisonous to those a different colour
Those who possessed something they wanted
Our blackness they were desperate to harness
Unsatisfied with the taking of our culture
They turn to the method of torture
Their envy the motive of our generational suffering
Hate breeds hate
Pain breeds pain
Our blood pumped from a heart full of trauma
Our skin sewn by the needles of struggle
Which is what they wanted
A life born through the memory of inferiority
A rot festering in the trees of our ancestry
Branches bending to the will of ancestral trauma
Bodies after bodies after bodies
Burned in the name of erasure
Blood clings to remember
The blood stays as rebellion
The world hides us in silence
The blood screams violence
Demands accountability
Pools of red refuse to be ignored
Stains a ground a witness to it all
Entrusting the soil to keep the bodies warm
An exhibition to the pain black people have endured
A call for a new world
For the oppressors downfall

Free verse
In silence where no echoes roam,
Before the stars were carved in dome,
Before the seas had learned to swell,
There stirred a Light no tongue could tell.
Not born of flesh, nor bound by clay,
Nor measured in the light of day—
The soul emerged, so pure, so still,
Breathed from the depths of Heaven’s will.
A whisper from the Heart Divine,
A spark of love through sacred line.
No greater truth was ever known—
That we were never, ever alone.
The soul, a flame without a name,
Fell gently like a golden flame.
It kissed the womb of space and dust,
Entrusting all with sacred trust.
It wrapped in form, forgot its flight,
Became a child of day and night.
It laughed, it wept, it broke, it bled,
Yet felt a pull from Light ahead.
A homesick ache within its chest,
A yearning not for food or rest,
But for the arms that once embraced,
The Source it knew, the Face it faced.
Through lifetimes layered thick with pain,
Through joy, through loss, through sun and rain,
It carried deep, though buried far,
A memory of who we are.
Then came the hour the veil grew thin,
When grace awakened truth within—
A voice, not heard but deeply felt:
“You are the Light in which I dwelt.”
“You are no orphan of the stars,
No wandering ghost with shattered scars.
You are My breath, My sacred gleam,
A verse within My endless dream.”
And in that touch, the soul could see
It wasn’t bound, it had the key.
The chains were thoughts, the walls were fear—
But God had always been so near.
The soul then bloomed in quiet grace,
With tears that washed the inner space.
It rose in love, and there it knew—
Its home was not a place, but Who.
So now it walks with softest tread,
With stars above and Light ahead.
And in its chest, it holds indeed—
The bloom of God—The Divine Seed.

A huge thorn stabbed my side
I could no longer find a way to hide
Carrying it like a heavy cross on my shoulder
I wondered how long my life will go further
I heard the thorn bore its twig
Seemed as if a mountain to carry, it was so big
A tumultuous wave engulfed my being
My hope was wreathed…vision was blurring
I tried to gather strength… fending myself with *****
As I clung to God’s Love and His Saving Trunk
I cried to Him, kneeling and praying
Entrusting Him my agony and everything
As lighted candle in front of me grew brighter
I looked up and found two grey clouds turning whiter
Shafts of rays were beaming on sides
Gliding slowly like doors… showing a blue part of sky
As the sun peeped on that cloudy and gloomy day
Big raindrops fall suddenly and sparsely
With my open arms, I tried to catch-- to feel each of them
Hoping to heal my wound and take away my burden
Wings of good words heralded the miracle in few days
I felt His greatest love, omnipotence and saving grace
Then I was led in the Yardenit where His Beloved Son was baptized
A precious gift of consecration to renew my life

A twelve year old boy, village-bred and very shy
Having but token familiarity with buses, routes and places
Escorts his mom’s mom, very sick and about to die
To the town forty kms and four hours away those days
Involving three buses, two junctions needing directions
And a km on foot, where her other two daughters lived.
She sat on the road and vomited, so bad was her condition,
The boy waited without a thought till she once again moved.
Finally on reaching the house wanted, everyone there was aghast
On how we two made it and critical of my mother’s foolishness
In entrusting a boy who knew next to nothing with such a task.
(But mom with none to help did what she thought right in all seriousness)
Grand ma gets promptly admitted in a hospital nearby.
Along with others, the boy goes to see her daily. On the third
She pleads with him to stay back with her that night
But, no, he runs away because he wanted to play with the other kids.
He never knew she was going to die that night till he was woken up
To board the ambulance which was taking her dead
Back to her native village, and the boy who sat with her was I.
My dad’s dad was dead before I was born
But about him I used to hear a lot all through my life
Because he was a big landlord who owned a village
Of twelve hundred acres, as the head of a joint family
He was a monarch of sorts, albeit, without a sceptre and crown.
Trained in herbal medicines, which he dispensed for free,
And a scholar in astrology and all those esoteric things
And a man of great virtues, he was much sought after.
Then suddenly the rules changed and the system
Of joint families went and after partitioning his estates
Among his kinsfolk , without taking an inch of land for himself,
He shifted to his wife’s place where too they fed a hundred daily
But they fell on hard times with the litigations that followed
The new laws which ruined families and my grandpa died poorer .

Prose Poetry
With downpour hued in starlit gray,
And fallen eyes are interlocked
In drizzles where the torrent bites
Till candles wane on fabric soiled
(As evening slips its frail chemise).
Her boudoir cluttered by the wind,
Sighing a pitter-patter scream
(Old woman dwells on passing sprees)
And on a chair, her drooped spine curves,
(To track hazed lifetime’s reveries);
Receding off so constantly.
Heels tip tap rhythm on the floor;
Alone, betrothed to lonely sheets
(Entrusting stars for pain’s release).
How cold the gush in Summer's flight.

Here I am sitting around with you in mind as I start out with new beginnings of a new life I now have. There's a task at hand in this never land with entrusting conflicts of a balanced and respected network of people, free of choice, obeying the needs with priorities of everyday life of what to do. For we are the people who create the networks of support as we move throughout the land creating memories to go with this recovery of a new life. Free of decisions, to be balanced and equal, for we are the people who stand united and strong, carrying on even singing a song, keeping strong in everyway, faithfully yours throughout this day. Thankful for another new way, blessed again for you are now my friends.

Sweet town, you'll be the death of me,
I leave again without my heart
Entrusting it into your care.
All the sounds and all the places
Seasoned with familiar faces
Are only ghosts for the main part.
From sunset glow to swirling mist
When all life's sounds grow faint and cease,
Haunting voices through the years
Renew the thoughts within my soul
Of long-lost friends swallowed whole
By time. May each one rest in peace.

Drama
Crashes, collisions, stealing, killing, lying, living and dying--
When I thought of the drama
I felt compelled to sniff the storms
After with I no longer wish I wasn't born
The whipping seemed happy entrusting drama
Drama
I heard a shocking, documentary hitting
All my soul within me outfitting
With such a passion for fitting
I had dreamed of quakes submitting
The whipping seemed happy entrusting drama
Drama
I heard a narrative, right slamming
The melodramatic melodrama mouthing
My mind always strays to volcanoes
Back into my memories thrusting
The whipping seemed happy entrusting drama
Clasping and clasping with my collage
And the screenplay never chipping honors
My mind always strays to aurora picture perfect
That palate plate tectonics, that palate plate tectonics
The whipping seemed happy entrusting drama

Obstructing the Time's line-of-sight recoiling abruptly,
neither a fallen hand-held folder nor a glance stolen away,
counterfeiting emotional disturbance but sounds to mastery,
executive officers waiting for the day-to-day updated reports.
Unloading Time's viscous cycle of exhaust onto the couch,
painless worthy of note-taking task reminder, a lost love,
overcoming the abdominal centre of gravity umbrella to grasp,
night's vivid persons voice of Wisdom to amplify and filter.
An overwhelming notion of the folder, the glance, and the love.
Warm alight from a magic carpet onto the late-hour coffee shop,
hail to the standing floral dress under the glowing streetlights,
our eyes have met in a once upon a whole new world,
love spreading out our hearts to become a giant shimmering star,
entrusting her my hugs and kisses, my love, and my world.
New passion overcoming my insides calling for a cupid's bless,
enough of this game and deftly join me in a dainty dance,
with you my senses return and with you I feel joyously right.
When I saw you over the cotton clouds singing merrily,
out of nowhere getting the courage to crawl kissing you,
rolling your eyes under the skies taken by surprise,
loving me over the sea so let us dance when I count to three,
dazzling on a magic carpet of this mystical whole new world.
