Souls Cry

Essence melancholic bemoans, echoing soul’s doleful cry
When clamors of unrequited love, earnestly amplify,
Bruised yearnings of deep desires, as lovelorn heart sighs,
For the longings of shattered passions, tearing her eyes.

Deep feelings of emptiness, no longer can she bear,
Burning with intensity, as wistful flames of rejection flare,
From the void of emotions, from sinful, loveless affair,
Bawling now in frustration, blaring anguish of despair.

Soul grieves for love elusive, she believed to be true,
The kind that blossoms hearts; and doting minds woo,
Alas! It was a tantalizing allure, irrevocably gone askew,
An illusion, alike gems, refracting from morning dew.

Soul rises from abandonment, escaping abyss of grief,
Deploying enlightenment, vying calm of ethereal relief,
As cohesion and congruity reconnect to angelic bliss,
Releasing negative feelings, rekindling love-vibes amiss.

Spirits reinvigorated emerge from dreaded goodbye
As soul’s insight redirects influence of love drifting awry,
Exiting barren desert, to find oasis on the other side,
Entrusting mystique of love, passions romantic confide.

Those ' Deep feelings, ' certainly linger. ' Shattered passions, ' and what could have been. Letting go is difficult, but must be done, in order to move on. Your thoughts are tender and emotional, all at the same time. My best to you, Vijay. Hugs, Brandy

"Spirits reinvigorated emerge from dreaded goodbye As soul’s insight redirects influence of love drifting awry," Very positive, and uplifting. Rejected by someone you love, is the sharpest dagger and deepest wound.

Good entry for the contest, Vijay, good luck! The lure of physical attraction or just raw lust often ends up in dust. The soul is resilient, but the physical and mental of a person can experience pure anguish after the illusion is dispelled. Excellent rhyming as usual, my friend. Have a great week! Bill

Dear Vijay, Such a striking portrayal of unrequited love and the anguish it brings. Your words echo the heart's lamentations, capturing the raw emotions of shattered dreams and bruised yearnings. Yet amidst the pain, there is a glimmer of resilience and hope as the soul seeks solace and enlightenment. I love that this is a testament to the strength found in vulnerability and the journey towards healing and self-discovery. - Blessings, Daniel

Vijay, I love this tale of defeat and reinvigoration. You definitely describe a bruised ego so that we can feel how bad the situation is. I believe we've all been there and hated it when that happened. I'm thinking how terrible it is right now for anyone suffering. I am so glad I'm in a good place--lucky not to fee this woe. Hope you are in a good place too...I imagine you are.

Hi Vijay an excellent take on the contest.. Your poem beautifully captures the transformative power of love's trials, as the soul emerges from the darkness with renewed strength and insight. It is a poignant reminder that even in the face of heartache, there is hope for healing and the rediscovery of love's mystique.

What a profound and deeply moving poem this is dear Vijay, firstly i love the rhymes and your creative wordplay throughout and i love the way thoughts and emotions flow in such eloquence. I especially love the lines “ Soul grieves for love elusive, she believed to be true, The kind that blossoms hearts; and doting minds woo,“ that hits so deep on unrequited love and soul searching for one that would resonate. Your last lines are brilliant. Makes it a fave for the way youv woven a poignant poem
