Quietude endows hushed mystical space
Admonishing words have no role to play—
Look how in solitude its posture bends
Bowing in deference to calming intellect.

Listen to the utterance of wailing heart
Where grieved voices subtly resonate
In stygian echoes of aches and pain
As bawl of mortal life kneels down to pray.

Touch of gifted hands magically illuminates
Enlightenment of soul’s secret message
Setting aside obtuse incredulous images,
Silencing the whims of infuriating regrets.

Glowing in epiphany of truths ornate
Emanating from the heart’s regal reign,
Voice of divinity in conquest reverberates
Winning decisively dissonant arguments.

Gaining wisdom of supreme knowledge,
Free from shackles of ordinary, mundane;
Revelations disarm the earthly laments
Basking in discovery of heavenly solace.

Premium Member On Becoming Enlightened

As Christmas draws near I contemplate my faith.
Jesus spent many years away, yet no one knows
For sure why, or where, or how, but destiny's lure.
When he happened upon meeting the teachers
Who would guide his steps with the knowledge
Needed in guiding ours, he was anointed with
Sacred oils and the perfect time for his return
To teach the yearning masses was revealed.
He taught in parables to be better understood
So that even the youngest children could grasp
The lesson, and so his words would be spread
By many as he knew his earth time was short.
Even the least of non-believers lives by these
Teachings, though they may never realize it.

Simple truths, compassion for others, kindness
To animals, love’s consideration for humanity,
Helping the helpless in reaching out to strangers.
These have been manifested inside our DNA
To help the broken souls who need help most.
Faith instills courage, yields strength, and endows
Peace that helps to conquer the greatest of fears.
It is among one of the most blessed gifts taught,
Along with forgiveness, to be honored and revered.
As this winter season has been chosen to honor
His blessed birth, I also deign to honor his teachers.
If you visualize their light in others of all races, creeds,
And faiths, you are on the true path of enlightenment.

"Blessed birth and destined death are both divine."

Premium Member Motifs of Nightfall

Eventide’s splendorous motifs on blazing arc rise
Tinting golden horizon of glinting vermillion skies
Where setting sun inflames decaying gilded rays
As twilight glistens graying eve’s yellowing haze

And pewter winds rustle leaves, lilting meadows
Swaying hills of trees in rhythms of tilting shadows
Where bidding the day goodbye birds hastily fly
While enchanted in luminant sky people amble by

Reveling ebullience of nightfall glowing in moonlight
Dazzled by twinkles of stars lifting tenor of night
As nightingale’s love song enthralls nocturnal appeal
When orchestra plays above scintillating astral zeal

Quietude soon endows dreams of exuberant dawn
As the reign of moon and stars sparkles on and on
Till misty morn awakens to melodies of robin’s call
And sun rises again to walk the new day to nightfall

Pele, Goddess of Fire

First fire surges from the inner Earth.
Island waters greet the fire goddess
Risen from Earth's fiery core, her birth,
Endows with lava, land from her first kiss.

Exploding from a volcanic shower
Earth spews fire as Pele emerges...
Her hair glows golden in the twilight hour,
Streaming slowly as her passion surges.

Gracefully she moves and quietly creeps
On her burning path toward silver sea.
Wanting all things that she covers, she keeps.
Pele's steamy kisses saved for the sea.

Sorrow's shadowed Pele for timeless years.
Sadness is seen in her ebony tears.

*Pele's hair is a form of lava. It is named after Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes. It can be defined as volcanic glass fibers or thin strands of volcanic glass (Shimozuru, 1994). The strands are formed through the stretching of molten basaltic glass from lava, usually from lava fountains, lava cascades, and vigorous lava flows.

*Pele's tears
Pele’s tears is a geological term for small pieces of solidified lava drops formed when airborne particles of molten material fuse into tearlike drops of volcanic glass. Pele’s tears are jet black in color and are often found on one end of a strand of Pele's hair. Pele's tears is primarily a scientific term used by volcanologists.

Premium Member Until Night's End

Though wrinkled veins line years on drooping arms
I'll hold all springtime's traces of young vows,
To care for you through life’s devoted charms
And rouse our crowning milestones , joy endows
While tint of whitened hair enchants my heart--
That passing unto seasons now grows old,
Upon this dream's compass we have to part.
So sing dear one, our floral notes behold
As I guard you through one last winter rain,
Until once more sweet memories grip us
To cuddle laughter's beat and tunes again;
When petals fly with traces of caress.

…Before leaves of demise call us to rest;
We’ll share night's end upon heaven’s bequest.

Days of autumn enter late September,
Yearly glory in hues to remember.
Naked limbs cling to mem’ries of summer
As cool longer nights lead to sweet slumber.
Mountain tops catching the first drifts of snow
Inviting cold winds to valleys below.
Copious colors patch quilts beneath trees

And Nature endows a harvest to please.
Under horizons of soft orange skies
The gath'ring of pumpkins soon will arise.
Upon Halloween each carved funny face
Meets with delight as children thrill to place
New costumes on for the ‘trick or treat’ fun.

Sign of the Times

SIGN OF THE TIMES

Silence is not always precious made in gold
In fact can be base alloy: dull and cold
Gleam gone dim, for the lack of active burnish
Now withheld - the living spoken words that furnish
On the nonce, response that endows communication
For that, in essence, is our spiritual libation
The substance of our lives as social beings
How sad, we eschew this act of spirit freeing
Each one is as in an insulated box
Transformed with a machinery that mocks
In imitations mechanist that don’t embrace
Most live exchange that could be face to face
Ease of access comes with loss for which I’m vexed
Sending isolation messages by text

Who They Are

His innocence lies in the very unknowing
Of what is the truth as he just keeps on growing
He questions the birds in the sky up above
He warms us with laughter and endows us with love
Every question from him is so serious, yet
I have to laugh, from the look that he gets
He’s often a handful, but with a heart that’s so wide
As he often states feelings that he just cannot hide

She is his sister; she’s a bit stronger and taller
Which makes him seem younger, just so much smaller
There in her heart, she, too, has her ways
Of giving us sunshine on the darkest of days
She’s dramatic and active, an athlete to boot
She’s the younger of my girls, who’s so very cute
She’s willful, demanding, but yet can be coy
She’s a blessing from above, an angel of joy

There, even older, another girl blessed us so
It’s been fun watching her age, fun watching her grow
She’s not yet an adult, but seems to just know it all
I hope in her assumptions, she never suffers a fall.
However, she my daughter and a real beauty at that
Who often asks us parents if her clothes make her fat
I guess it’s her age, but that’s the norm for these girls
I’ll love her like my baby girl, as she outgrows her curls

Then there’s the man, my oldest boy, he’s so wise
He grew up so fast, right before our very eyes
He’s sensitive and caring, so smart, gives respect
He’ll be quite the man, very successful I just bet
Though, he too, is a teen and subject to the pressure
He still does so much to which others don’t measure
He rounds off the family, he, my oldest boy
As all of them, together, bring just so much joy

Death is a pause between two worlds,
Reach that calm sea where stillness sums;
Embrace swift course in shades that swirl,
Ask to be free of mere outcomes;
Do not feel fear as death finds you.
Death is a friend that brings calm rest,
End with joy near on homeward cue;
Allow brief end to sum this quest,
Touch and feel now the light that shines;
Hope and faith know life's sacred shores.
Deep love endows what's yours and mine,
Intuit a flow that gathers more;
Enter and be one with all things,
See boundless seas of deathless springs.

Premium Member Christmas Sweets

Underneath the Christmas tree,
My Little Sweetie waits for me ...
Warm and snug, curled on the rug,
There she found me first, you see.

Some years ago, now number eight,
She'd been there, in a kitty crate ...
               Rescued from neglect, she'd come
On Christmas Eve, and very late.

All was new, the here-and-now's,
And offering what a tree endows,
Free, at last, from her rough past,
She felt secure beneath its boughs.

Soon, she'd found me, and I her,
Soulmates, (one sans tail and fur),
Still, we knew that we were two
Meant for each other, pal and purr.

We share our joys now, very much,
She helps me with my work and such,
And just because, she'll wrap her paws
'Round foot or arm, to stay in touch.

No matter where I've got to be,
She always has to come with me,
And when I'm gone she waits upon
That very spot ... and patiently.

For ever since that Christmas Eve,
Each single time I have to leave,
Quick, she'll go to hide below
The limbs that gave her first reprieve.

I strive to stretch the holidays,
          And find creative, thoughtful ways,
To NOT take down the tree and drown
Her Christmas spirit, (to coin a phrase).

But still, there always comes a time
The tree, no matter how sublime,
Gets put away, and that sad day
Is one I shall not put to rhyme.

Let's just say she's not much fun,
And won't give love to anyone ...
If she can't see a Christmas tree,
Her sullen months ... have just begun.

    "A Bottle of Wisdom"

treasure Life as a precious gift from God
embrace each moment, tenderly, with love
pursue dreams in a land of freedom for all
never lose sight of goals to achieve successfully
share this poignant message with others
who are deemed special in Life for this...
a bottle of wisdom contains the keys to happiness.

absorb the brilliance of Nature's vibrant domain
preserve the environment and creatures who dwell
within the forest greenery ... inhale majestic beauty
observe the pride of Earth's Planet
although attacks have beenwaged to destroy
the fibers and fabric of a lovely tapestry
victory reigns in the human heart and spirit
a bottle of wisdom endows one with power to survive.

cradle your children with hearty hugs and kisses
every moment in Time so they lest forget the
intensity of love ... shower them with deep affection
too much abuse has already been ravaged on those
less fortunate .. left orphaned by War ..
cherish your companion, counterpart, significant other
husband, wife or friend .. they remain the strong foundation
to enjoy abundant living,

all I have written and offered to you who discover
this priceless jewel from the ocean I share in love
always remember love makes the World go round so
hold this motto in your heart ... Love Conquers Life

fall in love with love.

While harvest of
earth is bounty, divine
Millions cease to exist
 from starvation .
How to allay famine,
a dreadful sign
When nature endows all
without ration ?
The world yields enough
crops through sun or rain--
And river beds swim
with fish of seasons,
Providing decent meals
from nourished grain
Then why this famish
for selfish reasons?

* The United Nations estimates that about
795 million people of the 7.3 billion people
in the world, or one in nine, were suffering
from chronic undernourishment in 2014-2016.

*It is believed that a principal underlying cause

economic systems in the world that resources
end up in the hands of a rich minority.

Skill and Talent

Is skill and talent that sacred
As to earn me daily bread
Pleasurable and luxurious things
As a place before kings
And unending sentiment
Of transcending compliment

Is skill and talent so sacred
That its treachery I must dread
In tarnishing a name
Or plaguing a fame
Of an indelible ethic
In the day of a youth so epic

Is skill and talent this sacred
To require utmost discipline with which to tread
The extremities of chastisement and admiration
With composure and temperament in retention
In honor of God who endows
With these wonder that continues to raise brows

Premium Member Spring of Rebirth

A pageant of hued flappers drapes the air,
where maiden butterflies awake upon
fresh tunes gliding in crystal winged sensation:
how beautiful they are, enough to initiate
my own spring of rebirth as April endows
this hint of childlike wonder: my breath emerging
while rafters explode in velvet glow… tossed petals
unfurling their limbs while monarchs circle along
ovules with flamenco swings, so luminous.

Much like this season they are born from, rustlings
weave a glazed ascent in radiant pirouette
of joy: I encounter a different scene, a different
potion of life through this moth-like shimmer
from laced nights: at last, spring’s bosom is decked
in flickers that my own awakening yields
to this cycle’s homage for butterflies’ swift magic :

tassels waltzing… until their charmed life- spans are done.
