Premium Member The God Machine

I really have outdone myself this time!
My ‘God Machine’ is finally in place!
I’ll never have to fret about a rhyme,
Or stop for a red light that changed from green
As if it sought to put me in my place
A random hiccup clearly quite obscene.

I really am quite clever I must say
My ‘subtle knife’ (1) allowing me to splice
My ‘God Machine’ into time’s tawdry day
The true God left completely unaware
That He is now controlled by my device
And just another victim of malware.

It seems there’s quite a lot that ‘God’ screwed up
That I intend to change now I’m in charge
I think that its bad form to cover-up!
So what’s the deal with dying anyway?
Let no one die will be my countercharge
And life is just a breeze on my freeway!

All pain mere nuisance, manna heaven sent
And sin gives you enormous facial zits
While love and kindness clear up all your rent.
Though talents differ, jealousies dissolve
As differences bring none real benefits
And non-destructive social moves evolve.

All birth defects, parental wealth passé
Genetic weakness gone with dodo bird
No accident of birth gives worth per se
Sins of the parent cannot taint the child
That God might favor one is just absurd
The color of one’s skin no more reviled.

But now I find my plans have gone awry
My God Machine decided I’m a flaw
It seems that I’m outdated samurai
Humanity endangering MY plan
Just plankton in the future’s yawning maw
Machine judged only advocate for man! (2)

Poet's Notes:
(1) subtle knife - A reference to a magical knife that can open windows in time in one of the 3 books in the Phillip Pullman trilogy 'His Dark Materials' including The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass.

(2) My poetic version of the lesson of the book and movie 2001 (written by Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke) where HAL, a computer so smart that it becomes sentient, decides that that only way to really protect a manned mission of a spaceship to the planet Jupiter is to kill all the humans on board the spaceship. The crew's humanity HAL decides is just too big a risk to the mission that HAL is charged (by its human programmers) to protect.

Abecedarian - true adulation

Anchored in the Aura of your loyalty, the
Breathtaking mood you enhance in me, for I
Cannot fathom the length of your love
Definitely not enveloped in envy but care
Every time that phone rings you race to it
Fervently like a worship, in offerings
Garnished with sacrifices and praises
Hammered by my hypnotic smile you hug
In, triggered by my endangering tear you
Jug ruthlessly into its source, instilling
Kindness and knowledge endlessly
Like a rugged professor, family is not
Mostly drawn out of blood, you have stood
Needlessly in my heart, because the bond
Overcomes every thorn that pierces our soul
Preciously evacuating every dead ash laying
Quietly in my heart, you have genuinely and
Relentlessly proven you are worth a million
Size too enormous to spill, your support
Tenaciously clench my wrist like a pillar of
Unraveling mysteries. You share vital
Visions and make us run with it like thieves.
Wondering amid primrose you glisten like
Xanthopetals, serenading your bloom
Yet unmarred flawlessly in Perihelion, let your
Zestful being be celebrated for being a true friend.

A REAL AMERICAN HERO

William Calley went to war
His country to defend
He came under a vicious attack
Endangering the lives of his men

In a village manned by Viet Cong
Protected by women and children
He made the decision to open fire
Though he felt it wrong

When the fire fight was finally over
Many women and children lay dead
The Viet Cong were taken prisoner
The lieutenant was filled with dread

His superiors caved to the media
And a court martial soon ensued
The lieutenant was sent to prison
Based on erroneous news

The 'innocent' women and children
Were the horrible tragedy of war
But their fear of death from the Viet Cong
Was overwhelming to them by far

Was Lieutenant Calley's decision wrong
In war, I say not so
However, he was sent to prison
And dealt a political blow

I pray that his superiors
Saw the error of their ways
And the media will one day learn
To report the truth without any bias

May those who died in all wars past
Be remembered as true heroes
And their honor will forever last
Not the memory of their foes

And no more court martials
To cover up political lies
Heaped on an American hero
While his faithful battalion dies

Salt Lake Expression

I wrote this on the Salt Lake Express, enjoy.

Salt Lake Expression

I just got my phone and im travelling home
I havent been rappin since the age of de la soul
But i happen to imagine the things i dont know
Its all about where you are, however you go

My jedi mind is tricked out,
opposite of KISS- i lick it down,
i am about to be around,
instantly syncing experience into the sound, so listen now...

Whatever I sample,
its all too hot to handle,
i dissipate stress within damsels,
what's jack and a candlestick without a candle?
I describe inside my mind simply when i ramble

The rise and fall is epic like that of the Berlin wall,
hungry cows just in for the green, im herding you all,
transmitting transitions went from winter to fall,
this tale you're listening to is legitimate, it isn't tall.

Im like Rafiki just seeking to speak with the king,
i ford rivers to Mordor to find the Lord of the Ring,
this isn't a hobbit talking but when i walk i sing,
playing the harp with heart strings,
hark the lion king
versus shot in the dark, bark, then endangering,
i dine with fine eats at a Chinese restaurant called Ming's,
before the crack im born to rap, let the liberty bell ring.

Crazier than Nicolas cage,
i face the machine with rage,
i speak on street corners, concrete is my stage,
I'm going to flee to Indonesia seeking to speak with a sage

Gourmet food for thought is about to blast off,
get on this hip hop or listen to Slim and kick rocks in flip flops,
this is not a shot in the dark or a walk in the park,
im a man ready on his mark to rock steady like Bob
and drop heavy as wonder bred never forget that's who brought...

...This to you, get in-tuned
it's not on your radio so plug in your ipod,
im not a rhyme god, but I've got my lines off
like Joseph is how my coat is, mad colors,
i think the big government is actually a bad brother,
im blessed since I have my mother,
and we all are cause we have each other.

Love Like No Other For Elizabeth Wesley

Smoke bellowed out the top
Of the trawler’s ships
As the merciless hunters loaded
Their harpoons with exploding tips

“There she blows,” a sailor shouted
It was a female whale that surfaced and spouted
The engines roared in hot pursuit
The Captain aiming ready to shoot
He shoots, it explodes, making a hole in her fin
She gasps her last breath as she can no longer swim

Her eyes expresses her agony and shock
Then close as she passes out and sinks like a rock
Divers plunge to secure their with ropes
But she is out of reach dashing their hopes

Then in the darkness she feels a thump
Again and a again under her she feels the bump
Her eyes open drowsily to see him struggling to push her up
A male dolphin she identifies when he swims close up

Endangering his own life he will not go up for air
She must breath first as he is overwhelmed with her despair
What seemed an eternity she finally surfaces and takes a breath
The he surfaces satisfied they both cheated death

He swims gently supporting her wounded fin
Til they reach the shore of an island call Baralin
The water is warm and shallow enough
For her to breath where the water’s not too rough

He swims out to sea where it’s warm in the south
And returns with plankton and kisses her transferring it from his to her mouth
Each time he does this, their feels grow strong
Of the love between a dolphin and a whale which will be remembered in loves folk song...

Time of Sorrows

It’s a sad state of affairs when we as humans let innocent elders and children die.
Man knowing only one way killing, terrorizing, as jets drop bombs letting destruction fly.
Spending money on arms not helping starving humans as they await death.
Ashamed is what we all should be as Christians we look and hold our breath.

Look around earthquakes in strange places our western shores being trashed with litter and nuclear waste.
In the Midwest a searing heat wave endangering our crops the corn virtually turning to paste.
In the west fires burning thousands of trees and many thousand acres.
Only waiting for another jolt from the earth and soon a massive Quaker.

Heavenly signs are all about and around “Us” yet we continue to ignore and not look.
It’s all there for “Us” to see yet we ignore the Holy Book.
The heavenly signs the famines, tsunamis, droughts, pandemics people dying paying a horrible price.
Where is our moral obligation to our fellow man? Why can’t man get along and play nice?

The evil one, the master deceiver is really having a good time at man’s expense.
He knows his way is corruption and as we fall short morally, there is no way to recompense.
All God’s creations are made in His image, and the devil leads man into this deadliest of conflicts.
It’s a Spiritual war raging since way before our births, unless we turn to God for help, asking for forgiveness, temptation is too great and we can’t possibly resist.

Where is our moral compass paying for bombs and supporting war?
Millions caught up with their own lives, and leaving humanity with deadly scars.
The “Time of Sorrows” is told in the Holy Bible and what is to happen is from our Father.
He will return with Jesus and be amongst men, as He rounds up His elect few and brings hope and love as He gathers.

Man is evicting us from our home the cry of the wilderness
endangering the very life cycle of nature itself
Look us in the eyes and clearly see the heart's you starve
money before profit is all you care about in this plantation
Human development has become this self serving mass suicide
where green house gasses is ripping down these forests
and certain boundaries are crossed on more ways than one
We need to rescue God's animals from doom
legal protections need to be put in place
as this is worse than the flood destroying what Noah saved
Those self serving in charge are destructive in every shape and form to be explained
we will need to urgently raise awareness about their plight.
hope has become a challenged word so to speak shepherded on this subject
The smart thing to do is save our planet

A Scale of Self-Righteousness

POTENTIAL is what you may or may not have,
according to someone else.

ABILITY is what you have at a particular moment,
but is not always apparent.

TALENT is what you think you have,
but may not actually.

SKILL is what you've acquired over a long period of time,
but may lose without use.

TOLERANCE is what you display,
only when they agree with you.

MODESTY is what you express,
but only when they are impressed.

HONESTY is what should be used,
but only when you're not endangering yourself.

SINCERITY is what you must have,
even when you're endangering yourself.

(8/84)

HUMOR is what you must find, because we
all know that you're not perfect.

LOVE is what you need to express, because
We all know that no one's perfect.

Premium Member PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO ASSURES US THAT WE CAN SEE HIM

June 5 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Job 19-21

Key Verse – Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.

PRAISE BE TO GOD WHO ASSURES US
THAT WE CAN SEE HIM

Praise be to God for assuring us that we can see Him by His:
Mercy that magnifies Him amidst our miseries
Miracles along His moves so measureless
Might of managing our moments
Message toward meaningful memories
Magnificence above mystical and magical myths

Job 20:29 Praise be to the Lord for appointing us, His people, His heritage:
Nourishing our souls eternally
Nurturing our spirituality earnestly
Negating our sinfulness, endangering
Not negotiating our service of selfish efforts
Nestling our salvation in His sustenance, everlasting
Needing His sanctification for stewardship empowerment

Job 21:22 Praise be to the Saviour for
teaching us His knowledge that:
Offers answers with His truth
Opts for His approval through trust
Opens to us His affirmation during trials
Optimizes His affirmation toward triumph
Organizes our activities against time-testing temptations. Amen!

Inferno

INFERNO

As I watched from far away,
Under the sun sending down its rays,
Not willing to stare any longer,
And about to find my way out,
I noticed the earth trembling,
Followed by a cacophony,
Temperature rose in a flash,
Behold it was a volcano,
Red molten flowing down from its cone,
Arable down destroyed,
The reddish molten was like blood,
Blood of Slavery.

When will hearts of men be one?
Being different from none,
Humans being callous to another,
For exploitation of others,
Like a lion that turneth not away from its prey.

Captured with alluring promises,
With goodies and pleasantries,
Men became victims of circumstances,
Minds anticipated life with good fortunes and feature,
But least they never knew,
That their thoughts were all fiction.

Disastrous like a sirroco,
Blew the winds of the deserts,
Their human nature became weary,
Without any proper attention given,
Covering many miles,
Of which some lost their lives.

Seeing the anguish of men,
I rhapsodised about the fate of lives,
That were experiencing onslaught,
My heart was deeply exasperated,
Seeing how lives were siphoned like liquid,
The famished ones died away,
And the sands of the desert buried their bodies.
On the Mediterranean they voyaged,
Endangering lives of youthful age,
They were like unpreserved cabbage,
Experiencing the sporadic fierce tempest,
The extreme cold nights,
Accompanied with empty stomach,
Leading their skin to take the hue of an oak,
In juxtaposition with a mahogany.

Nostalgic feelings came,
The care and love shown to them at home,
Created in their hearts a hole, Which can only be filled by hope, Their condition was like perdition.

The Merry-Go-Round Inside

I hand you an apple, and you are off
on a delightful spin of possibilities.
The first thought is identification,
the next, perhaps, one of degree.
Do you wish to eat it now , or might it better
adorn the fruit bowl on your table
--but those are only two. My generosity
is processed, the nature of that,
and then the apple's history,
it's shape, our relationship, your gratitude,
indeed, the sound of your reply!

Suddenly the sleepy head of consciousness
awakes and if we think of that
the carousels within our heads
begin to speed, and we
have only just begun.

Hey, it was just an apple, but
it takes us prisoner, for now
it is the catalyst of endless searching.
We may be here all night
and emerge, sleepyheads ourselves,
no wiser. This cursed carousel
races stubbornly, our horses
stolid, indefatigable. To exit
is surrender.

Our villain--and our dearest friend
is consciousness--
self,
and soul
and psyche dueling it out
on other little wooden horses next to us
yet really just another can of worms
to place in line of thought...
or did they wriggle from that apple?
My apologies.

I guess all this points up
the dual possibilities of choice
endangering the speculative flights
a universalist like me will take.
Aristotelians decry us; Platanists,
more forgiving, learn to hop
both on and off the merry-go-round
and disregard its pace.

Foot Upon Foot of Flesh On Flesh

I slither and climb amogst the highest of canopy

Winding, circling, selfishly stalking all heights for him

A slender, lascivious woman searching for a vee

Strangling my host, endangering its very life and limb

My rough shedding skin leaves all, top to bottom, enrobed

My teethy scales of greenery are heart shaped and lobed

Pursued by many, my wild grapes make the best homemade wine

Not only on riverbanks as my common name would imply

Most of the forest is littered with my dark hanging vine

I must forewarn all, for me to live, other plants will die

The Mountain

The mountain is standing tall and high,
But in it one can't find any sign of sigh.
It teaches us to stand still with patience,
And One can also feel the real calmness in its presence.
One can pass a long time by giving it a stare,
And by looking at it forget his own despair.
The white snow on it gives our eyes a nice view else to find,
It's also like a symbol of peace in many people's mind.
But still we are destroying it for our own greed,
And endangering the future of our own breed.
It is helping us by keeping balance in the environment,
But we are making it ugly by creating in it a bad dent.
We must protect it and help it to rise,
Otherwise our future generations may pay a heavy price.
