Best Encase Poems

The Woman They Know

Her smiles of valor encase her agony--
her fiery scars pound against her sanity
struggling in twisted ropes of silent screams.
A wounded Athena, she is a woman in chains
      staring at her shattered reflections.

Her shades of red, they haven't seen--
tender shrieks buried under forced arms,
      blurred visions of screaming tyranny.
A trampled magnolia, she is a woman in chains
rotting in her Carmen of morose ember.

Oh woman! You embrace scars with dignity,
ethereal flow of progeny in your hands,
your banished desires in shriveled ages
survive in spiral cobwebs of festered veins.

  Her miserable existence in labyrinths--
she simmers courage in dried paranoia,
a streak of red blood, no longer she'd fear.
A goddess flickering amber lamps of hope
       her essence flows through mankind.

Oh woman! Feel the celestial powers
         preserved in your gracious bosom,
     your afflicted pain nurtures patience
strong enough to bend heavenly tides.

A wounded Athena, a trampled magnolia
A rotting Carmen, a goddess she is..

The woman in chains pours forgiveness
      filling oceans from azure exuberance,
her selfless heart of mellowed love
      permeates Satan's abode with virtue.

The woman in chains wears sacrifice,
her gossamer veil embraces men's follies,
she carries the elixir of compassion,
ripples of hopes for scarred souls.

Oh woman! They oppress you in madness,
to your sanctity they bow in agitation,
the woman they know, the goddess they don't,
until you dust your timeless wings to fly again.

I am broken
there is no one
to pick up the pieces
no one to melt the gold
to let it flow
and bind the pieces
to make me whole

KINTSUKUROI

it is nothing but a lie
broken, I die
I pull the pieces of me
the shards cut
I bleed
my tears mix with the earth
I try to form clay
piece by piece
I make them stick
blood, tears, saliva mix
the liquid of pain
my only gain...

I stand
insecure
the clay will not hold
I topple
I fall down
Crash to the ground
More pieces than before

No gold to bind
for "nothing gold can stay"

Then you come along.....
you are the LIGHT
Magnificent, bright!
I close my eyes
as I feel myself being lifted
lifted...higher and higher
lifted....
gently
tenderly
lifted
you are the center
the core
you encase yourself
with all the pieces
the pieces of me
you build me around you
the pieces come closer
closer
but never touch
broken
I remain broken
broken enough
for your light to shine on through....

My kintsukuroi

IS YOU!!!

Seasons of Life and Death

Under the care of sun and rain
My leaves have unfurled
My buds have burst forth
My own will has been done
This was my beginning
Through the seasons
Spring brought me to life
Summer grew me to new heights
The fall must come sometime
The frost will encase my barbs
And I will return to meditation
Waiting patiently for my rebirth
For your light to peek through clouds
Your moon to hold me within night
When spring returns...
I will dance in the wind
A never ending flower

Premium Member The Meadow

THE MEADOW

Spread
Neath umbilical sky
On nutrient Earth
She stands alone this noon

Surrounding woods
Mountains
Distant structures
Seem to encase the lush green plot
Have taken on a sunny sheen

Then there is this peaceful babbling brook
                                                 running through
                                 sparkling
                                             wetly whispering

GOD!
What an ecstatic vision!

But wait!

Come
Lie down on fairy moment’s colorful hay
Smell the wild flowers
Hum a happy tune
Then Listen!

Oh!
Below!

A wild bacchanal defames all empyrean image

Slither-slide –
Bunnies mice POP!
Bees dragonflies
Winged squadrons buzzing BANZAI!

A billion glassy eyes of every size
Looking for kill
Or pre-empting demise
Shiny black bugs on nature’s green rug

                   Distant

The sound a staccato wheeze
A high wire din
Like one hundred tortured violins

Then rise
Return to that simpler view
Smile in wonder
That nothing in nature is static
And wonder what’s going on inside of you?

Premium Member Jewel Of Jinx - Depression Awareness

An alchemical raven's gray rhapsody awakens those cynical roses who
Breathe-in the ebony beams of blood-bathed sun, exhaling
Cacophonies that ricochet across these truthful horizons where,
Depressive roars embalm Lilith's lawns. Awash with smoked prairies and
Equinoctial secrecy, my neon lips swathe in life's witchy lies, for -
Flames of fury, lace every lead feather of the pewter crow, that feasts on beliefs.

Grieving charcoal stars swing like souvenirs of deceit when,
Heartbeats of hibiscus moon, shiver and shatter upon my schizophrenic
Ink, carving betrayals in asphalt ashes. "Am I a
Jewel of jinx, floating like a jet-black jasmine across
Kohl orchards?" - whispers time's wistful rebirth in the
Lachrymose lake of death, as conspiracies entwine in cyan cobwebs within
Medusa's redstone heart, tumbling at my tulip-tombstone.

Now, nebulous blackbirds, rise from corbeau cinders, as
Onyx wings of resilience have torn apart and
Pierced every sheath of shimmering faith - surrendering to the
'Queen of darkling serendipity', as her clemency clenches me onto the cusp of
Rhetoric valleys and winds pirouette with a pirate's porcelain wave,
Silencing the saffron of my soulful sculpture, in eternal streams of fall.

Thornless fate has forevermore, been an insomniac illusion and maybe,
Ultraviolet elegies of saturn's rings will become a noose for my dreams and
Viola orbs will encase every dove-dawn in a woeful chrysalis,
When anxiety's darkling dungeon, spreads across rustic realms and
Xanthic Satan dethrones my poinsettia-crown, as survival holds onto the
Yarns of last crystal light within Cleopatra's claustrophobic hope. But in the
Zillionth moment - my heart shall wail in rhymeless refrain - am I the one, lost?

Premium Member Music At Midnight

His home is beneath the theater stage
Disfigured, he remains within his cage
Listening to melodies played onstage
Fills him with loneliness, not rage

Once a fine actor, the Phantom awaits midnight
To sing alone, so fear he won’t incite
For the “garish light of day” he finds too bright
When he hears Christine sing, he bemoans his plight

Hours pass until midnight when the theater’s empty
And he lays his hands on each piano key
Stroking them as he would her face on the marquis
But only at midnight is his soul set free

What would Christine think if she saw his face
He senses the need his feelings to encase
As much as he longs for her tender embrace
He fears she would just leave him in disgrace

Midnight, midnight, he awaits patiently
So he can finally perform shamelessly
This midnight ritual he enacts faithfully
Singing to a woman he’d love undyingly

He croons sadly, wishing for her ovation
Absorbing the power of each note’s vibration
Dreaming one day he’ll submit to temptation
And reveal himself to discover her elation

* Based on the Broadway play “Phantom of the Opera”
and its powerful song, “Music of the Night.” Most
plays end just before midnight. “Garish light of day”
is a line from the song.

Halloween Night

Halloween Night

Good evening Boys & Ghouls, with anticipation and all your drools
Especially the ladies with fake jewels, tonight breaking all the rules
Why it is finally Halloween night, and for most of you a festive fright
I see Dracula with a boastful bite, showing age with fangs off-white

Frankenstein holding his second spleen, a great photo for Halloween
And Vampira the horror Queen with her succulent after-dinner cuisine
Michael Myers with his pocket knife, giving you the gift of eternal life
Looks like an evening of strife, good of you for bringing the lovely wife

I see Freddy chasing teens, with something extra in his Krueger jeans
Jason with his playful routines wants you to be his quest by all means
Leather-face shaved for this event, using his saw the only way to vent
Jigsaw will encase you in cement watching you solve puzzles in lament

Mummy & Werewolf do their dance, enticing the ladies with freelance
If you leave this is your chance, but you will miss this Monster romance
We want you to stay with great delight, saved the best for last to excite
A poet from Poetry-Soup to recite, their poems, a scary frightful sight.

No animals or humans were harmed in the making of this poem, maybe some monsters...please forgive me if I insulted anyone...this poem is for laughing and educational purposes only...do not copy.

Confined beneath the theater's stage
Disgraced, he paces within his cage
Listening to music played onstage
Beset by abject loneliness, not rage

Disfigured Phantom shrouded by night
Once Broadway's toast, he sings alone so fear won’t incite
“Garish light of day” offends, too bright
As Christine sings, he bemoans his plight

Hours pass till the theater’s empty
Gently his hands caress each piano key
Like he is stroking her face on the marquis
When the play ends, his soul is set free

Would Christine scream if she saw his face
He dares not step forth; his feelings encase
Her song to his ears wraps him with tender embrace
But concealed he remains, not inviting disgrace

Play's chorus resounds; he waits patiently
Only after hours might he perform shamelessly
His late-night ritual enacts faithfully
Singing for the woman he’ll love endlessly

He dreams one day of resigning to temptation
Revealing himself and discovering her elation

Take Two Bullets

Take Two Bullets

Take two bullets orally with gun powder dry
Loaded water as a chaser can shoot them down
Some cinnamon for flavor to encase the rounds
Ensures the procedure is correct, is profound
Torpedoes are too difficult to swallow
Something about their shape and size
Avoid bazooka breath when you digest
The aftertaste is hollow and benign
Keep projectiles away from children
Who creep up from behind
Stir things up with barrels of a pistol
Two bullets is what the doctor ordered
But not as suppositories
If all goes well with the original directions
Fragments should come out intact about the other side
We can project that these projectiles
Will have a happy healthy outcome in the end
Keep extra ammunition by your side in bed
Always check the expiration dates
Take your bullets every day to stay alive

I Am Impaled

Flailing madly
Against the tide,
I am impaled
By the futility of life.

Slowly losing myself
In the bitter cold,
The devil's clenching fingers
Encase my soul.

what fancy leads me on to dream

Ebola

August in twenty fourteen
A sign of death upon the screen
West Africa - Liberia,
Sierra Leone - now Nigeria

A swathe of death - a swift nasty one
Sweeps through these lands killing one by one
Who knows where this invisible curse
Will strike or if it will get worse

(EVD) - Ebola virus disease
Ravaged through these 4 countries
And soon it spread and people died
Like flies in houses and at the roadside

Alerts are bounding around the world
As the death count starts to unfurl
These modern times - digital age
Everyone can see the news presage

Up to date. NOW we see
Morbidly watching the catastrophe
As countries declare States of Emergency
Life goes on for millions and me

Before I even set out for Nigeria
There were stories of this Ebola
“Another black death, the modern plague,”
Mentioned in words without being vague

Before we all roll over or throw up our hands
Crying “God’s wrath threatens our lands”
Remember this thing’s been around before
In ’76 it first came to the fore

What it is and what the end result
Is for us all to prevent tumult
Personal cleanliness, care, hygiene
Can kill this silent killer unseen

We cannot encase ourselves in glass
Or stop walking in cities or on fields of grass
Life must go on - these things be fought
And not roll over and let it take its course.

So yes, we should all be alarmed
But let ourselves be duly armed
Observe and listen to what should be done
And we can stay safe – almost everyone.

SUPER MOM

Every body has heard of wonder women,
This fearless lady who guards America,
Riding around in her invisible jet, with
A rope of truth tied around her waste.
Where ever evil intentions may rear it's
Ugly head and danger may strike,
Head on she'll face these challenges,
On our behalf and come out as the
Winner no matter what.
Now fiction is fun, imagination wow,
But in my book super mom has wonder
Woman licked hands down.
She needs no fancy outfit, comfort jeans
Will do, and stained ripped up T-shirt,
She cares not what she looks like,
As long as the duty roster calls, super mom
Will tackle the job, without hesitation.
What are her super powers, you may ask,
Able to leap the diaper pail in a single bound,
Dodging flying toys faster than the speeds of sound.
She has no rope of truth, but a handy dandy plunger,
Just encase an over flow happens, believe me
No floods ichy water will ever touch her domestic
Floors.
Hugs and kisses medicine, are her greatest
Healing powers, wiping away sorrows tears
With just a single glance, and soft words of
Praises reassurance.
The invisible jet, forget that moms suv of
Wonders is just fine with me, it's her four
Tire alter-rain vehicle, come what may
It gets us through the toughest of seasons,
Rain, snow, heat or the last minute emergency.
I could never repay what this wonderful
Person has done to contribute into making me
What I am today.
But super mom, will always be the greatest, of all super
Hero's to me.

Premium Member I Never Knew Love Until I Knew You

FROM HEART TO PAPER UNEDITED

For every tear you shed from hurt
physical or emotional
For every tear you shed from shame
rightly or wrongly

My loves

my heart sheds a beat

I never knew love
Until I knew you
I love you both
from my tippy toes
to the peak
of my silver threads

Don't hurt my dears
But when you do
I will hold you tight
Encase your fears
Minimize the pain

And when my heart bleeds
or slightly feels a crack
It's because my daughters
your lives before mine.

I love you so much girls...
