Premium Member The Only Place I Want To Be

I could be where the palm trees sway in a tropical breeze,
The pace is slow, the air is warm, and I can take my ease.
Drinking chilled coconut from the shell, a blue ocean view,
But, the only place I want to be, is right here with you.

I could be way up high, in a distant land, a Himalayan retreat,
Watching the sunset over Everest, wood fireplace, effusing heat.
Relaxing in the whirlpool, the steam rises, as I sip a hot brew.
But, the only place I want to be, is right here with you.

I could be enthralled as Parana journeys to it's end, at the falls,
200 rivers, cascading in unison, as I meditate struck in awe.
I could be contemplating, the transcendent beauty of Iguazu,
But, the only place I want to be, is right here with you.

I could be in Sorrento, bay of Napoli, not far from Capri,
watching cruise ships floating by, observing life so carefree.
From the marina, I marvel at the houses built into cliffs,
I daydream of what it could be like, to live like this.

But, of all the places I could go, and the things that I could do,
The only place I want to be...is right here with you.

I ntuitively knowing and satiating my every desire

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Staring Into the Abyss

I have had good counsel from a wonderful therapist.
I had to be suicidal to get on her list.
I waited over a year to see her.
Only managed then because I became suicidal again.

At the start I said "Sure, I've nothing to say."
She nodded wisely, then led the way.
'Till shortly I was effusing about the pain I was withholding.
The poetry was flowing.
We were dancing and stomping.
The words were pouring.

The one thing she could not get me to do,
was express the anger I still have towards you.
Suggested wringing a cloth, or banging a pillow.
Shouting the hurts I suffered while with you.

But I'm not concerned as I've found a weapon.
It is of course Poetrysoup heaven.
Already it has trickled through to the pen.
What a poor example you are among men.

For now it's my counselor I wish to thank.
She has led me gently back from the brink...
of the abyss I was staring into.
From being meek as a lamb, sexless....voiceless.
I'm an emotional lioness, no longer joyless.

I've made her a book of my wee poems.
She thinks I should publish, as if I'm a pro.
Sure, I'm too modest for that...
Or am I?

Premium Member Beauty Is Evanescent

Beauty is evanescent

My eyes have seen
unspeakable,
incomprehensible
beauty.

I thought I knew
what beauty was
and then...
I met you!

Your apparition
left me astonished
entranced, tongue tied,
mesmerized...

My eyes
could never
be the same again...
how could they be...
as all the beauty
beforehand seen
now had a new
reference point...
and that was you!

Curiously though,
under more
careful observation
and scrutiny
over time
I noticed something
distinctive in you,
something inherently
significant.

I now realize
that my recently
redefined understanding
of what beauty is,
needs to be adjusted
to harmonize with
a far deeper
comprehension.

I've noticed that
your external beauty
is really an outward
physical reflection
of internal realities.

Your kindness
your innocence
is effervescent,
effusing and emanating
from deep within
your interior.

Leading me to conclude
that physical beauty
is evanescent
but kindness
and innocence
is ever present.

Rain of Rose 1

Colures transposed orbits closed whence derive the rains of rose?
Across million mileage magic and magnitude are striding
O'er holistic horizon svelteness and smoothness are sliding
Meridian framed parallax tamed whither swash the rains of rose?
Spray by spray, knuckle down to my mood pensive
From ethereal to real, from sparse to intensive
Soon drenched head o'er heels
I found the root of my romance's route
Under a bracing baptism bringing fine feels
From amazed to aplomb, from something uneasy to nothing moot

Memo peeped murmurs eavesdropped how to diagnose
My long-overdue romance syndrome, rain of rose?
Among infinitesimal traces palpating sentimental palpitations
And probing their pathetic derivations
Throughout infinite engrams pinpointing fugal focuses
And precluding their maudlin metamorphoses

Tender spot perceived hardened navel-gazing detected
Rain of rose, how to track and treat my vulnerable veins well-directed?
Self-moderating little by little
Instilling solace into me trickle by trickle
Yarn by yarn, untangle my yearns intricate
From aggressive to assimilable, from inquisitive to intimate

Rosy, rosy rain
Messenger from ineffable Cockayne
Where comet breeze fondles her finery of frieze
Into my laps leap swaths of her lusty ease

Rosy, rosy rain
Sharp switcher of memory lane
Where murk and melancholia of yore
Transfigure into present horoscopes and kaleidoscopes galore

Rosy,rosy rain
Recoverer from romance drain
Ripple by ripple streams into her likeness, lusciousness lacing limpidity
Alleviating my lovelorn insipidity and rigidity

Rosy, rosy rain
Precise pacesetter of telepathic vane
Wisp by wisp floats familiar fragrance and grace
My well-oriented paces in lockstep with her fairy trace

Rosy, rosy rain
Shuttle through sensorial chain
Calm inside, my premier ego as huddled as a musing esthete
Passion outgoing, the alter ego as loosened as an effusing synesthete

Rosy, rosy rain
Seamless scourer of sour and pain
Inch by inch rinses away blue waves of woes
Rousing the resting redolence of rose

Rosy, rosy rain
Merry melody with voluble refrains
Note by note, elicits dulcet endearments of old years
Fleeing from errant mindscape, destined to attentive ears.

Premium Member Stillness - Back To the Basics

Nothing new in the electrochemistry
It no longer is a scientific mystery
Waves Beta, Alpha, Theta, Delta, Gamma & Epsilon
Descending from buoyant ecstasy to a persona forlorn

Zodiac signs & rainbow colours assigned to chakras renamed
Esoteric yogic techniques, exponents aplenty, all self-proclaimed
Fiery verbal duels, by many an argumentative eristic
Each it seems is the ultimate mystic

Leaving profundity to theorists whose verbosity we acknowledge
What matters is assimilated wisdom, not vicarious knowledge
So we go in within, alone, in meditational stillness, upon a virgin path
Each moment in the time continuum, a holy sabbath

What we seek is expansive consciousness & joy eternal
And what is eternal is obviously not embraceable in the ephemeral
So we chop off perishable egoistic attachments, fear & desire
And straightaway plunge our non-self into the divine fire

How? In unseeking stillness within ... deep within
Where at each moment we anew begin
No conflict, no violence
Effortless stillness, rippleless silence

No agenda, no seeker, no doer
We are still, yet there is a mover
The flow of the Universe within into which we dissolve
Emerging from which we automatically evolve

What do we gain & what do we lose?
Irrelevant, for we are not, yet desirelessly choose
What we lose is our sorrow generating gross contaminant
Gain being ineffable, exalted, joyous divine love enablement

There is no way; our choice itself is the way
Save unendingly effusing love, no rules to obey
Thoughts sublime, words kind, actions benign
Self, Soul & Spirit thus align

Trust the Universe, plunge into its loving stream
We need to wake up now, from our narrow dream
Upon lighting a candle, darkness is instantly expelled
Surrendering to the divine, ignorance is automatically dispelled

And that is all there is to it
Doable if we do & never ever quit
Simpler the truth, it seems the more elusive it is
So perplexed we are by life’s jigsaw quiz

as inevitable, it came to pass
and so the question was asked
on whether we should abandon
feral soul we'd ourselves tasked
to spew toxicity that we may learn
to remain tranquil even as we burn

clever ego offering specious logic
hinting we need not trauma bond
why then keep a rear view mirror
but heart joyously does respond
effusing love, inane game end
egoic will to God's laws bend

My blood
leaves its determination
on earth,
crimson footsteps
effusing

celebrating existence
with no other mission

however brief.

Motherland

Love, my chariot phantasm rattled dust off time's
Shuttered veil, a slow reveal of the eight year span,
And then sped farther back, espying an
Earlier epoch when life it seems began. Where
I, fixed gaze upon the wildflower waif
In the ochre breast of timber,
Dreamed your goddess face.

Warm, a Summer kiss planted on my nervous
Gaiety, a catalyst endemic and profuse,
Entangled wishes with the yarn she
Would exactly reproduce. Acutely,
I, knowing perfection, the essence of the pristine,
The weave of sainted care,
Adored your gracious hands.

Then, the whirling dervish dog-time thief imposed
A premature sanction upon the life of bliss,
Languid slabs of sadness, gestures profound
Yet frail and feeble hugs and ice-dry kiss. Thus,
I, effusing tears for the passing of her beauty
In night encroached by sable,
Mourned your fond farewell.

Unbroken, ceaseless catechisms, paragraphs prayer-
Laden, a wealth of precious keep sakes she rains from above
For me and mine, to life enhance,
To forge the bonds of mother love. And
I, enlightened of her undying presence
Feel her close at hand, waiting to someday hold me again
In her motherland.

Reprieve

When I was all but spent
And broke, matchsticks and maybes
Scattered in a ragged heap,
All the foreign tongues, they spoke
Of gamblers' luck and empty deeds
Bestride the charity of sleep.

Then I faltered, exorcised,
And lost, floundered and famished,
Pinioned on a barren rock,
Stabbed and manacled by a frost,
Ice bound words and severed thoughts
Destroyed the bio-rhythmic clock.

And then the trash machines
And dust, purity and promises,
Renewed their former selves again,
Pristine and oiled, effusing trust
In lovers past and yet to be,
The softest song, a sweet refrain.

When I felt almost dead
And cold, hopelessness and happenstance
Stirring up a lazy storm,
A chance reprieve, a love of old,
Of something lost and something found,
Returned to keep me warm.

"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life. The word is love.”
  ~ Sophocles, Greek Poet

Love lotus within toroidal heart blooms,
effusing a blissful effervescence,
ignition that unendingly resumes,
revealing that light is soul’s quintessence,
which if we embrace, rapture within zooms
and we imbibe fragrance of truth’s essence.

The nectar of pure bliss flows through our veins
and bliss is the highest octave of love,
divine magnetism that cleanses soul’s stains,
provided head and heart act hand in glove,
free from pain inflicted by ego’s chains,
invoking God’s grace that pours from above.

God is love and light, dwelling in our heart ~
Each breath sees therein, bliss ignition start

Premium Member Summertime Is Fun Time

Pastimes in summertime linger longer.
For the warmth of the sun is much stronger,
Creating sheer moments of bliss that last
And become such an enjoyable blast.

I stroll bare-foot along the sandy shore,
Feeling the caress of waves I adore.
Kissing my feet with the incoming tide,
Effusing the rhythmic pulse of the seaside.

I hear the shrill call of seagulls that thrill,
In the bounteous fish that fill each bill
With the bounteous haul that summer brings
As the warmth spawns more of all living things.

In summertime the living is easy
And fun in the sun so easy-peasy.

Premium Member Gatekeeper of Space Time

As the gatekeeper of both time and space,
surfing the bardo that lies in between
aether and form, wherefrom radiates grace,
existence reveals its throbbing bliss sheen.
Singular Self has an urge to create
a domain where ascent follows descent,
that by piercing the veil, soul shapes its fate,
requiring simply, to grant love consent.
This choiceless choice to ingrain deep learning,
that emerging from the cocoon of bliss,
soul may ascend by willingly burning,
it opts to plunge into a dark abyss.
The stage is set for the soul to forget,
that love may grow, placing on love a bet.

That love may grow, placing on love a bet,
appears on first glance, there’s nothing to do
but memory erased, caught in fear’s net,
the soul finds it difficult to break through.
Mistaken that it’s merely body-mind,
soul’s awareness becomes externalised
and bemused by illusions, it is blind
and thus truth of Self is not realised.
Having itself set life into motion,
joy of union, pangs of separation,
silence alone ends thought flow commotion,
invoking Spirit for bliss gyration.
In timeless time, the bliss energised form,
swathed in gentle currents, both cool and warm.

Swathed in gentle currents, both cool and warm,
earth life interface, the ego, recedes,
transmuted finally by this love storm,
whereupon it follows and bliss throb leads.
Cessation by kenosis is the way,
softening attention, with touch gentle,
ego cravings no longer holding sway,
that soul effusing love transcendental.
Love being the pure divine elixir,
all opposites dissolve within its womb,
causing nodes within feeble form to stir,
bringing to life thus, a bliss catacomb.
Ego takes a backseat, heart is upbeat,
light dawns when polarities meet and greet.

Light dawns when polarities meet and greet,
melding in the cauldron of agape love,
wherein heeding love’s pure endearing tweet,
head and heart conjoin, acting hand in glove.
On soul seeing that it is living light,
it begins to employ mind of the heart,
feeling bliss pulsations by day and night,
deeming all souls as one and none apart.
Separation ends when egoic will bends
and all beings on earth, with love entwine,
each soul as God’s essence, slowly ascends,
all gathering under the oneness sign.
Self knows that there are no puzzles to lace,
as the gatekeeper of both time and space.
