Summertime Is Fun Time
Listen to poem:
Pastimes in summertime linger longer.
For the warmth of the sun is much stronger,
Creating sheer moments of bliss that last
And become such an enjoyable blast.
I stroll bare-foot along the sandy shore,
Feeling the caress of waves I adore.
Kissing my feet with the incoming tide,
Effusing the rhythmic pulse of the seaside.
I hear the shrill call of seagulls that thrill,
In the bounteous fish that fill each bill
With the bounteous haul that summer brings
As the warmth spawns more of all living things.
In summertime the living is easy
And fun in the sun so easy-peasy.
