THE CAT SAT ON THE MAT
this perfect poem of mine
will rhyme in every line
no stanza’s out of time
or thoughts that drift sublime
the cat sat on the mat
her body round and fat
and when you stroke her fur
rewards you with a purr
blah…blah…fishpaste !
we all love faithful dogs
who chase those logs and frogs
with coats shiny and long
who never judge you wrong
blah… blah…bonemeal !
birds have feathers that curl
and when they fly they whirl
they sing the sweetest songs
choirs of sing-along’s
blah…blah… birdsh…eet !
this perfect poem of mine
will rhyme in every line
no stanza’s out of time
or thoughts that drift sublime
THIS PERFECT POEM OF MINE IS INTENSELY ANNOYING !!!
SO I’LL ADD A BOTTOM LINE COMPLETELY DESTROYING !!!
I hear the dragon breathing threats of polluted line-spaces
that
promise to destroy the crow-like-critics of the written word
….like a rush of fresh air

I was stanned from the bore.
Say thaid, "Come here mo nore"
when I yelled, "This foo doesn't s_ _ _!"

To husbands who are mystified
We offer here this marriage guide.
You'll have the finest union yet
If you accept this alphabet.

B e strong, but gentle, kind, and true.
C ompliment her hair and clothing.
D on't let inlaws see your loathing.
E xercise so you'll be trimmer.
F udge the truth and say she's slimmer.
G ems and roses cool her rages.
H and to her your weekly wages.
I nsist you love her every day.
J ust say you're sorry, come what may.
K eep bathed and shaved if you want sex.
L et her select; just write the checks.
M eet no new women on the net.
N o anniversaries forget.
O gling beauties is forbidden.
P ast affairs are best kept hidden.
Q uickly heed her when she bellows.
R arely go out with the fellows.
S hower her with gift surprises.
T ake it when she criticizes.
U se your head; obey her wishes.
V acuum and do the dishes.
W hen walking with her, hold her hand.

Light Verse
Caught in the web, of maya illusions
Opaque veils of desire, dark delusion
Morbidity and joy, spinning around
Immersing attention, where fears abound
Nonchalant monk, as a silent witness
Gyrates to music, of kind lovingness
Blissful and quiet, as void in each storm
Alive and aglow, in joy currents warm
Cadence of love, brings the wayward back home
Kiss divine, caresses sensorium
Home at last, within the cave of our heart
Osmotic bliss ignition, therein starts
Meet and greet love, before it is too late
Embrace bliss right now, whilst we meditate

I-'ll let you hear the wind whispers
S-oftly beneath the white clouds in the sky,
M-inding the joy on your birthday;
A-ccept my warm wishes and greetings
E-specially wrapped for you,
L-osing not these lines along the way.
M-ake your day so wonderful
G-reet September morn so beautiful,
U-nload the stress so harmful,
M-eet your friends so thoughtful,
A-im so high to be successful,
W-in the fight so masterful,
I-nspire your heart and soul,
D-rive hard to reach the goal.

Snuggled up close on a sofa for three
Until September on our TV
Nibbling Thornton’s and sipping champagne
Feet playing footsie on seat three again
Lost in the warmth of each other’s embrace
Only together is our proper place
We chat about when you and I became We
Each year another anniversary
Reminds me how lucky one old man can be

M-eet the morn with a smile
I-nstead of frown or pout;
C-ool breeze brings mirth,
H-oping to sweep the doubt.
E-arly morn has broken,
L-et your brow show no wrinkle;
L-et your face wear a smile,
E-ither eye will twinkle.
G-reet the morn with a smile,
U-sing your facial expression;
L-et your beautiful aura
B-ring sweet satisfaction.
I-n twenty-third October, be aware of the weather's guile;
N-o matter what the clime is, meet the morn with a smile.

E-ither eye of you
M-akes a sparkling look;
E-ven if the sky is dark,
L-ife isn't found in a nook.
E-ither eye of you
N-ever seems to be sad;
E-ven if the raindrops fall, you still really feel so glad.
G-o outside and gaze
A-t the plants and flowers;
L-eft with drops of liquid,
L-eaves live by the rivers.
E-ither eye of you
M-oves in rapid motion;
A-lthough the wind is rugged,
S-ees reflection of its
O-wn.
T-ry to watch the wonder,
U-ntil you see the beauty;
A-llow your eyes to behold,
S-eeing amazing scenery.
T-ry to stare at the sunset,
U-ntil you see the horizon;
M-eet and greet the end,
B-eginning with the dawn.
A-llow the morn to break on third October view;
N-orhing cannot be noticed by either eye of you.

A-im to meet the new year,
N-ever turn a blind eye;
G-reet the future with truth,
E-vade the deceiver's
L-ie.
M-eet the new year again,
A-lthough the sky is gray;
L-et the bright occasion begin,
O-nly fourteen days away.
N-ice beacon December seventeenth wipes away each tear;
G-aze at the next month to meet the new year.

J-ust say a little prayer
O-f praise and gratitude;
A-sk the Lord to accept
N-othing but your humble attitude.
N-ightly and daily call on God, glorify Him at dawn;
E-ven during noontime, worship Him all alone.
D-ay twenty-three in June
E-arnestly say a little prayer;
L-et your heart be thankful
A-bout the good health ever.
C-ome and say a little prayer,
R-eturn to God all the glory;
U-se the few chosen words,
Z-ealously please the Almighty.
M-eet Him and say a prayer
O-f faith, hope and love;
I-mplore the Lord to pour
S-o much grace from above.
E-ntreat the Father Almighty to make you even stronger;
S-ome good things will come, just say a little prayer.
