Sunflower

Snuggled up close on a sofa for three
Until September on our TV
Nibbling Thornton’s and sipping champagne
Feet playing footsie on seat three again
Lost in the warmth of each other’s embrace
Only together is our proper place
We chat about when you and I became We
Each year another anniversary 
Reminds me how lucky one old man can be
