Life is music that drifts in open spaces
        sometimes a brash crescendo
that brims with the fullness of now
when stories break from narrow, rigid scripts
        stifling random routine

Life is free wheeling inventiveness
        peacockish
        a feathered tapestry
parading like a wedding dress down the aisle

Sometimes life is a ping pong bounce of sorrow
        giant ball
        that blurs the sky
        that covers our eyes
a fog creeping into ruined places

Life is a tumble of forces
a counterpoint of malice and joy
that goes in an unexpected direction
like the connective chords of love
                 an airy drift
                 amplified
in the ringing rush of time

OLD MA.

Old Ma always gave the kids a nice treat
Always nuts and never anything sweet
But they soon found out why
Nuts were in great supply
Choc nut bars she'd only suck cos no teeth...

NO HIDING PLACE.

An old gangster robbed a bank and he ran
Flew out from Canada then onto Japan
The Mounties tracked him down
In old Tokyo Town
He was caught cos they always get their man...

A WARDROBE MALFUNCTION

Went to a posh restaurant called Vicars
A girl walked out the loo, there were titters
Her face turned a bright red
At what's every girls dread
She'd gone and tucked her dress down her knickers...

DOMINATRIX.

A dominatrix from the state of Maine
Enjoyed hanky panky out in the rain
She'd use a leather fetter
T'would shrink as it got wetter
And her clients would pass out with the pain..

A FRIEND IN NEED.

The outback two mates went to catch a 'roo
One got cut short and said "I need the loo"
A spider crawled up his knee
As he was starting to pee
And bit him hard on his digeridoo...

His mate phoned the flying doctor who said
"Suck out the Poison if it has turned red"
He thought to himself no way
His mate said "well what's he say?"
He said "in 'bout half an hour you'll be dead" ...

LOST THEIR WAY. For Gershon Wolf

Geese flew south they were honking and hinking
Snow storm came they were blinded and blinking
They had no way of knowing
Where the hell they were going
To see them sway you'd think they'd been drinking...

'you Won'T Hurt Me No More'

Lady laughed manic, scrubbing hands
blood stained fingers washed one another
The water, scalding, removed any trace
  that evil had transpired here
Her eyes wide and wild...recounting, remembering....
...reliving...rejoicing. He lay dead, face down
 Vengence surged euphoric
She whispered through smiling teeth
'You won't hurt me no more'
removing red spattered hand made dress
Naked she laughed and knelt to the splintered floor
piece by piece she pried the wood
Fumbling with foreign tools
   Creating this corpses tomb
Rolling this limp, lifeless mass into the earth below
Her bruised, weary face stared down
His eyes, one stabbed, met hers as she smiled
pouring lye over his hated face and limbs
Tossing the dress down to the crypt
She grabbed the knife to follow it's path
thought better of it...keeping it gripped in hand
....a symbol of her new found strength, she couldn't part with it

Replacing planks of floorboards like jigsaw puzzle pieces
Hammering them in place to make a more familiar scene
The table was pushed over to conceal the calvary
She sat...eyes wide and wild...to a dinner made for two
she sighed...naked and relieved...slowly carving the meat

Frank'sgiving!

Hey, Pilgrims,
Let's dress-up
Dress-down the plumes
of the dancing Peacock
(If we'd allow)
but for the Ritual;

For Francsly speaking
in tongues of plata y oro,
Pound-for-bloody-pound
How much 'cide this buys?
A simply-uneasy angst to the quest,
Oh, how Corpulent "m.d.'s" -
Which dystrophy Indigene Water - Land - Identity muscle
Manifest your Destiny! - Trophied.

Lots of time for sargeants,
for unhappy Cherokee rides on trails to tears
Led from 50,000 years to Discovery? Indeed!
With no reservation
'cept to enslave the Spirit,
And with tobacco & cotton gotten
from the corn colors of the Earth!

Are the Iroquois/Mohawk/Navajo/Cherokee/Hopi
Thankfully jeeping...?

Don You grisly-now...
Our meleagris gallopavo decapatito,
Strut and march like mute Mummera in the Charade!

                                                                            Cum Multis Aliis

Premium Member Modern Gomer- My Spokenword Verse

Gomer
Pretty fool, beautiful
you laid down
 you got down
 with your lover Wooo!
what you do now no ones pitying you now
you now unfaithfulness to the Lord
You though he loved you now
you walked away from your first love
You thought he loved you child
there's more than his manhood
He's a man-child
Gomer
Unfaithful to the Lord just a whore
What if you prayed
Why? Didn't you stay
Yet you strayed no longer a virgin
Now you're a burden
Gomer
It is more than his manhood
He's a man-child
 Gomer
unfaithful to the Lord just a whore
Why did she pray
Why didn't you stay?
Yet she strayed
No longer a virgin now
You unfaithful to the Lord
Just a whore where are you now
How can the government and the village must now help you child
You should have kept your dress down
You should have kept your pants on
 Modern Gomer
 unfaithful to the Lord
 just a whore
He done got what he wanted
You thought he loves you but he doesn't
He just came alone came along to hit
His 6 minutes of pleasure now quit it-(acquitted)
Now going to give you nine months of misery,
 Gomer
Just a whore- unfaithful to the Lord just like Israel

Premium Member Once Upon a Time

They worked at the same place,
A place of no space,
Always running into each other they did,
Bottled crushes, with a tight lid,
Asked out,
Joy shout,
Lovely first date,
Neither were late,
10 months, moved in together,
Hope as light as a feather,
Met his mother,
Met her brother,
Family dinner,
Lottery winner,
They bought a bigger home,
With heaps of space to roam,
From the pound a dog,
Who's past was a traumatized fog,
Trained and loved,
Never shoved,
2 years now,
On knee and bow,
Engagement ring,
Very bling,
Happiness, wedding day drawing near,
Neither showing signs of fear,
White dress, down the aisle,
White suit, lots of style,
Newley weds,
New threads,
Of a new life,
Husband and wife,
They planned their honeymoon, away they go,
Enjoying their time, taking is slow,
Home again,
Pick up the pen,
Start the scrap book,
With ultrasounds that she took,
Tiny heart beats, yes there's 2,
Even though the months are still few,
He gets a new job, lots of money,
Life was looking very sunny,
Half cake blue, half cake pink,
2 names, they have to think,
Room painted and made,
With each other, there glad they stayed,
2 months not long now,
Cute bib that says pow,
Baby clothes shopping, right away,
They will be back soon dog, stay,
Home sweet home, 3 weeks to go,
Need 2 crips, that's all though,
Home alone, twins come a week before,
Open, shut car door,
Drive herself to get there,
Tiny feet kicks, don't you dare,
Turn the corner, car crash,
Window screen is the first to smash,
Jolt forward, hit head,
Blood seeping, staining red,
3 heartbeats stop, husband is told,
Suicide committed, another life folds,
Dog waits at home, all alone,
As gravestones are added, gray zone.

Reached Their Peak

Our autumn leaves have reached their peak;

the gold and reds, subdued with brown.

The scenery appears so bleak

as wind-swept leaves fall to the ground

where leafy patch-work quilts abound

to cover lawns as trees dress down

and bare their limbs that once were crowned

with brilliant gems of fall's mystique.

I'M To Blame

Wake up people, You're being hypnotized.
Fallen under my silly stupid lies
Given the fact I've ruined your fun
I'll be the one holding the holy gun

Well go you think I'm right?
What do you think?

Uptight girls and dress-down boys
Living in our messed up world
Divine powers can't be tamed
And in the end-
I'm to blame!

We are people, of the colder side.
Forcing view down your talking pipe
Let the motions break at you feet, baby
It's time to lie some more more more, yeah yeah

Well do you think I'm right?
What do you think?

Uptight girls and dress-down boys
Living in our messed up world
Divine powers can't be tamed
And in the end-
It's still me to blame

I'm to blame X6

Silver lining of your mind
Golden trip of my inside
Come over to the darker side you said
I still think you should repent
and last of all that's what I said-
What I said:

"Wake up people you're being hypnotized".
"Please I beg you, I beg you, you guys"

Premium Member Sunrise and Sunset Routines

Breaking up the day into coffee and cabernet,
energy and relaxation, sunrise and sunset routines.
—by poet

Sunrise coffee, percolating,
poured into four seasons.
As soon as the mug’s drained,
brush pearly teeth, slide frothy floss,
Touch the sky where the sun should be;
the reach of xanthous rays.
Leftover steam from coffee-up -
blow on the sky; blue hue.

Cabernet in late afternoon;
cerise-cheers at sunset.
Dress down in seasonal pjs.
Brush pearls ‘til they sparkle.
Touch the sky where the moon should be -
the soothe of milky-white.
Remains a drop, dark berry -
the twilight sky infused.

Vintage Chanel lives rent free in my mind
the colors are deep, subtle and magical.
Over time, the originally soft textures,
become luscious like a lover's caressing touch

In college, you dress down,
you want to blend in, not stand out
gods forbid you flag entitlement
and draw envy's barbed compliments.

The simple styles bear the twin burdens
of camouflage and practicality.

In Paris, fashion can be capricious,
but elegance is a silent conversation,
with its own intricate vocabulary in drape,
line, fabric and in painstaking choice.

In places where fashion matters - Paris, Manhattan, the Hamptons,
it can signal position, the way uniforms signal authority everywhere.

A splash of fashion can not only have a fabulous effect
on how its wearer feels, it can tell important stories.

I’m told that, in back rooms, where fortunes are awarded or lost,
fashion can announce arrival, rank, and intent.
It can whisper new wealth, in upstart display
or a threadbare, silent duel with mounting debt
