Best Divide Poems
The blueing ocean
Separate eagle and dove
Spiritual birds

Dreams herein, our progeny, still birth sometimes inside,
blind and rigor twisted, formless foetuses upon
the terrace steps where innocence bled and occasionally died
screeching for salvation when every shred of hope was gone.
Yet also soared in glorious flight, monstrous span
of righteous flapping wings in the stadium sky,
drummed thunderclaps, exultant fear insurgently began
inflaming souls and lifting living spirits heaven high.
Externalised, the primal chants and streaming scarves,
the goading, cheering, praising adrenaline infusion,
the fluid rush of gameplay, of two dovetailed halves
painted on an emerald canvas with fleet of foot profusion.
In a cloud of air horn banshees and muddied leather vapour
where studded feet slap pigskin like a hated face
spins a salt and vinegar smudged result newspaper
telling tales of holy triumph or damnation and disgrace.
Abused patriotism, the easy asylum of the scoundrel cur
whose omnipresent wield of slick wet Stanley blade slashes
carves desired resurgence of the way that things once were,
for Nazi flags, stiff arm salutes and pencil black moustaches.
Yet overriding all, the team and the game, the beautiful game
and the chasm rift between each side as deep and wide as forever,
the team is all, all is the team and will always be the same
and whatever divides team from team let no man draw together.
Compare the evidence of a real divide
so far apart are truly God and man
the comparisons are really traumatic
consider all that covers this great span
God is far greater than created man
always eternal knows everything
fully perfect with no hint of sin
fully spiritual with great blessings to bring
God is never irritable, edgy, fatigued, or depressed
nor is stressed, moody, or never at all blue
His anger never ever had a short fuse
this God's word reveals what is true
Our God is above all possibility
of being touchy, cranky, or temperamental
instead is infinitely energetic, so unbounded
but also like Jesus was meek and gentle
This God is by far the greatest
He far exceeds all that's human
being eternal has always been here
so ask God to do what He can!
A great divide is here
Not, the Grand Canyon
Or our weather from East to West
Or even North to South
But, it is the divide amongst our people
It has grown wide enough in areas,
Too distant to reach in areas at times
With reasoning falling, between sides to the ground
It is a choice to be deaf to opposite opinions
When there can be pieces of truth to both sides
Twisting false accusations fly with the wind
Then, insults sadly become the normality
In order to understand, there must be attention to listen
In order to connect, one must believe in many points of view
Not only one in which everyone should follow
Because there are different pre-cursers to things
There is always a background that may not be known
It seems there also must be space to accept we may be wrong
Especially when facts are missing or left ignored
It is about a big picture that brings reason to both a great divide and resolution
This way, we can live together with our individuality,
So that we can complement one another in a positive way

I feel the pull of days gone past—
The strain of heart that comes with time:
The cold and empty space that’s left
By those once loved, now far behind
I feel the still of what is now—
A silent ache that longs to sound,
And cast bright colors once again
Upon this pale and foreign ground
I feel the weight of what is lost—
The rift that’s grown between our lives,
Condemning souls once warmly crossed
To slowly drift apart and die.
Sitting here inside myself I suffer from the air around me as it steals my breath, Wonder if anyone notices this pain tormenting me so...I'm vulnerable around him and he can't even see it, this thing deep within, It burns so bad I can't stop it, My melody has left my soul as the inspiration abandons me with the sound of his footsteps leaving. Gone from my range of hearing, my knees buckle beneath me as I think of those who replace me, Those who are better off with him than I, My stars dull in the sky as my world falls apart, There is no light to break up this dark around me..No more looking at him to help spread my wings, They simply tremble an fall to the earth, His beauty no longer holds me up...this distance kills my heart every beat it takes, the fading of the colors engulf me I no longer see my dream.
Poor men with wealthy lives are low dead
Dead and poor low mens lives were wealthy
Wealthy dead with lives poor were low men
Low and wealthy men had dead poor lives
Lives low remembering poor wealthy dead men
Wealthy lives are dead those low poor men
Poor lives are dead those low wealthy men
Started from King Macedon
Dividing and conquering people
Come Julius Caesar and Napoleon Bonaparte
The tactic survived today
They created of nations from the states.
Sulu archipelago has been divided
Nationhood superseded statehood
The statehood gone forever
The imagined nation comes to emerge
Made the archipelago comes to worst.
They claim to own a nation
While the name in the basic law is foul
The name comes during colonization
They have their own those times
Cannot they use their own name?

Our ancestors roamed ‘cross the seas
way long before my time
and conquered lands so strange to us,
but ever so divine.
But since they crossed that salty pond
they’ve changed you must agree,
no man from here… the ‘motherland’
would waste our precious tea.
So now a ‘Great Divide’ appears
on both sides of the brine,
though all of us in our own way
are doing really fine.
I think that some must see us here
as ‘Lords and Ladies’ bold
or peasants wearing our flat caps
just doing as we’re told.
There’s them that feel an Englishman
must keep ‘stiff upper lip’
and never utter words that try
to make a funny quip.
I hadn’t really noticed this
‘til just the other day.
when passing comments on some rhyme
I tried to have my say.
I thought, alas, the authoress
would understand my lines
but she was very hurt by them
and said I was unkind.
But it’s a compliment to find
I’ve savoured all your rhyme,
took it to heart and then replied
though joking at the time.
I never would upset a friend
or so I thought ‘til then,
for poetry floods through ‘my’ veins
and ends up on my pen.
May I explain the humour here
is really from my heart,
the ‘words’ you see are just for fun,
it’s feelings I impart.
Oh tell me why I’m misconstrued,
I’ll hang my head in shame
if ever through my poetry
I hurt a friend again.
Shall I give up and go away,
have I just said enough.
No my friends, I’ve weathered well
I’m made of stronger stuff.
But please excuse my ramblings,
it’s what I feel inside
but if you do not get my joke
just blame ‘The Great Divide’

Carbon, deep, deep black in one form
Refracting light in another
Symbols of energy and wealth
Yet, still the same carbon on the inside
Three handed creature
Grasping hydrogen atoms, oxygen and themselves
Forming the hydrocarbon chains of food stuffs
Filling our bodies with the stuff of energy
Powering the mighty engine that never stops till life's last breath
Feeding through the inner pulsing red rivers the oxygen
Absorbed from the ocean of air surrounding us all
To keep alive the organs
The inside of every human being
Identical, indistinct.....one human from another
Until coated in a skin
Available in a variety of colors
From white to red to yellow to black and all shades between
And now we see a difference, where there is no difference.
ALAS!
Now social networks
Before tea-room social chat –
IT changes us
Single views are flawed
Life is grey not black and white-
Harmony spawns hope
Computer jargon
Academic rhetoric –
Actions not words count

"I think there is a world market for maybe five computers."
Quote by Thomas Watson, IBM chairman, 1943
Through the QWERTY maze fingers travel afar
discover where virtual worlds are,
but a digital divide
locations denied.
Modern day
tide,
such dismay
for those left aside.
This is happening worldwide
but we must neither exclude nor bar.
Through the QWERTY maze fingers travel afar.

It's as simple as this.
I love you.
Nothing will Change that.
Nothing will break that
Nothing will hatter that.
It's the truth.
Always will be.
I hope you dream of me,
as much as I dream of you
I will always be there for you
That is my word

Transcending The Cultural Divide
Watching the foreign film and blood fly
Nothing particular on my mind
I do not know a word they speak
Their death is all I need
War machines kill everything
I am supplied forever in that moment
With all the information that I need
Death transcends all nations
I am alive in that moment
Transcending the cultural divide
Live the life of a decaying organism,
& you are bound to become senile.
Build-up of the spiritual embolism
Causes one to face the green mile.
Sooner than later,
Accelerated inevitability.
As you lose the ability to live
& the stability to forgive...
Stare at the darkness & pray for stars,
Glare with sharpness & delay the scars.
Are you happy now?
Are you beautiful now?
Are you successful now?!
Are you wealthy now?!
A cage made of gold is still a cage.
Trapped until you're old, peaceful rage.
What is this promised land you promise us?
Underneath the Grand Obelisk & unjust.
Are you powerful now?
Are you respected now?!
I say you are feared...
To hell with that!
Forever will i be endeared.
My honesty is adamantly exact.
The choices you wish to retract
Succumb to the consequences you attract.
We all must one day hang up the hat
Without a pat on our back...
