Daffodil Dimples

Daffodil dimples

Crape myrtle blooms form
the entrance now leading
Into the garden of
dreams that we share

Rose buds and hyacinths
tickle our senses
Blending their fragrance
so sweet with the air

Lantana flowers in
yellows of lemon
Paint summer sunrises
along the wall

Hibiscus petals are
raining so softly
Before our eyes as
their beauty does fall

Daffodil dimples now
show as they're smiling
Watching the two of us
greeting the day

Now hand in hand
as we wander this garden
So much in love
midst this wondrous display

Good morning Soupers

Raindrops Around Your Dimples

Even the raindrops
love to linger on your face
like my fingers' tip-toeing,
drop by drop they reach
around your naughty dimples
luscious lips are not too far.....

Premium Member Just a Rumor

My thighs and buttocks have dimples…
So I'm grateful they have so much to smile about! As my stretch marks, or laugh lines rather, can attest.
You must forgive my breasts…they've been upbeat and perky for many years and they deserve a rest.
My calves have a sense of fun! Bored with the same tan color, they've decided to decorate with streamers of purple and blue.
Not to be outdone, my arms have joined the fun, waving with enthusiasm whenever my hands do!
A life well lived and full of joy, of laughter, love, and humor. So now you'll know, if you hear I've “let myself go”, that it is just a rumor.

For Maya Angelou: Like a Cherished Effigy

I hold it up again today; the world,
Pregnant with magical dimples
Of a child's reckless abandon,
And look at the face,
Then I look at the deep cut
And the pain it inflicted
I look back at the unpaid ransom,
The whips, hands chained to the back
Faces buried deep into the cold wall,
The so-called wall of the world, soaked
By the tears of our raped eyes.
I have seen the world through and through;
The sweet bitterness of living and dying,
The joyful agony of getting and losing;
The memories come clear like crystal
And the weak world whirls by unconsciously
Taking us down its untrodden alluvial depths
And scattering silence nearby and abroad:
Those are the world's worth!
Who amongst us does not have a story?
The world is killing us, thinking, perhaps
That there is sudden rebirth in each death
But those we lost are gone forever
And we bite our lips and rub our eyes,
Alas! Another phenomenon has been lost.

Like a cherished effigy
I hold it up again, the wild world
The nuance feeling surges like thousand waves
And I listen as different sharp sounds
Of cries, nay, moans pierce my ears,
The tears fall in torrents like a waterfall.
The earth, our unconcerned world is killing us,
Like little ants...it kills us with sledgehammer,
Hypothetical villain lurking by street corners
Waiting and waiting, almost impatiently.
But we love the world, and so much so
We cling to life, despite the odds
We want to live, love and be loved,
We want to experience and explore the depths.
We have been heart broken again and again,
And each time we heal
We lick our wounds and clean our tears
Trying to protect our battered ego.
We hold it up again and again
Like a cherished effigy, smiling
Notwithstanding our heaps of unfulfilled dreams,
Our not-to-clear future, our unheard cry-cracked voices,
Despite the rigours of the trite rituals
Of our religions, our creeds, our norms;
Despite the guns, the bombs, the blades
That cut us clean and shatter our unborn hopes,
We still cuddle our earth like a cherished effigy
Dressed to pattern by virgin children
While it takes us down one after another
Jubilantly like a well trained military marksman.
Alas! Another phenomenon has been gone.

He grins, dimples forming small lickable pools of attraction,
spreading through my chest like warm charcoal, smoldering little embers,
kindled in my heart, spreading a red warm blanket of love
in winter cold world.

Her Dimples Made Me Smile

Her dimples made me smile
When I looked at her face
Because of the way she was
Having style and so much grace

The way she made me feel
Made my heart skip a beat
And just to look at her
Really knocked me off my feet

Oh yes I fell in love
With those dimples the other day
And they are so special
There's just no other way

First I'm thankful to God
Cause I know I'm His child
For blessing me with Joyce
Her dimples made me smile.

Two Dimples

God took dimples and He put the in place...
And then He took the countenance of an angel and put it on her face.

Then God said," When she gets to her home things will never be the same"...
And He chose Mary Joy to be her name.

She's been here several years now and it's all come true...
And mom, she is a special one, she's exactly like you.

So God took two dimples and He put them in place...
And than He put the cutest expression all around her face.

Mary Joy is my grand daughter and I thank God every day for her...
Without thoughts of her my life would be a blur.

Those two dimples were placed in just the right place...
And you know that's what really makes her face.

With a personality that is second to none...
She was meant to be a special daughter and not a son.

God took two dimples and put them in place...
And He took the countenance of an angel and wrapped it around her face

The Dimples On Your Cheek

Tonight,
 I wanted to sleep
 Without writing any word
For your smile.
 Tonight,
 I wanted to pretend
I am not touched by your beauty and your style.

But
 To convince my words,
I had to show your picture to my heart.
 That is when
I noticed the dimples on your cheeks.
 Trust me,
It made your picture the purest art.

The Valiant Spirit

Behold, the Valiant Spirit! housed in a young vibrant body;
A litty like a titty;
Endowed with telepathy;
In this age of complexity.

I marvel at your smile that makes the day bright;
Your soft words that infuse strength;
And your words so refined.
Indeed, you're one of a kind.

Oh Valor!
Uphold thy honor
That those who seek for thy favor
May have a new experience to savor.

Folks, listen when he speaks.
Friends, feel the dimples on his cheeks;
For he smiles like a dove
And his heart like the blue sky above.

To My Most Magnificent Lady, Oluwapemi, Her Dimples

On her rosy cheeks
they jiggle gently, and tend to
unmask the veiled serendipity
in her adamant heart...
While her puzzled mind
readily betrays the grimace
her blackrimmed eyes,
lustrous like twin stars had faked.
Deeper they wriggle on both sides
and blend into her sunken hollow
as her head sways
as if to rekindle the expressions
on her delicate face.

Dimples

"DIMPLES"
I looked into her big brown eyes and she smiled,
with the dimples, like the girl in my dreams.
Though she lives in my city, we've been strangers.
So now I'm patching my hearts broken seams.

She asked me some personal questions.
She asked me more than a few.
And though I'm not shy,I never tell lies,
just talking, was all I could do.

We both smoked the same cigarettes.
We had the same taste in our beer.
We'd both been neglected in our prior lives,
both looking for someone who cares.

She had the most beautiful dimples.
As deep as the ocean is blue.
When I was just start learning to love,
I wish I'd meet someone like you,

With facebook I peered at her life,
the photos and thoughts on her page.
I felt my heart getting involved.
Maybe we're both around the right age.

Dimples and Similarities

Today he says to me
Mom you are a cutie putootie
I say so are you my sweet delicious
Where did you get those dimples??
Must have gotten them from dad....

He just smiles mischieviously.
Knowing dad hasn't a dimple on his slim body.
He gives me the bambi eyes and
I ask have you used that look on the teacher?
Then say she would be putty in your hands with that look.

He says, no mom I save it for you!!

The Boy With the Dimples

He sits with his mother
And he has three other brothers
They are all just alike
And yet very different
He is so serious and so young
And his song is not yet sung
Still when he smiles
He's the boy with the dimples

He is older now
His milk white hair turned gold
He no longer sits with his mother
And he fights his three other brothers
His seriousness has grown
And sometimes he's terribly alone
Still when he smiles
He's the boy with the dimples

He keeps his pain inside
There is no one with whom he can confide
His humiliations are borne in silence
And no one understands who he is
Yet he is stronger than he knows
And his beauty begins to show
So when he smiles
He's not just the boy with the dimples

Now he's grown into a man
He is insightful and wise
He lovingly thinks of his mother
And he cries with his other brothers
He has become the person I love
Always the one I'm thinking of
And when he smiles
He's still the boy with the dimples

The Gazelle

The Gazelle!!!

The morning cock crows
And the feeling grows
Towards the daedal damsel
With the gaze of a gazelle

She is an enigma
A portrait with dimples
The opera of the steeples
And with an accolade for charisma

In the center of my fantasy
She gives me a frenzied insomnia
The feeling of euphoria
And the smooth warmth of ecstasy
