Best Compromise Poems
I dream of the feeling, of not feeling too much
Being pleasantly mild, unbothered by touch
I imagine, I’m average and pleased to know
Achievements take effort. I’ll go where I’ll go
As for uncertainty, I’d choose not to dwell
But go with the flow, through life I would sail
A change of direction would not stunt my growth
To new opportunities, I’d dare not be loath
I’d swiftly adapt as my options evolved
No chores left undone. No problem unsolved
I’d begin living life, beyond my emotions
Concrete and 3D, new doors would be opened
But even this longing, is only dream deep
The cost would be high and path, far too steep
To compromise intensity, passion and brains
Would flush my own gifts down society’s drain
I’ll accept my quirks, extreme highs and lows
I’ll live my best life, without letting “me” go
Our son constantly test his mom and me
Why the truth in life is so key
Can't he see all the trust he loses
In our ability to foresee
what his future could turn out to be
When he has no problem looking us in the eyes
To tell his despicable lies
When it just makes us want to cry
Looking for answers about why
When it gets away from perception of what others see
The man that his mom and I have raised him up to be
A man with integrity who is able to keep his promise
To never lie to always reach for the sky
We taught him that anything in life worth having
Requires him to be straight with others
So he doesn't always have to run for cover
In spite of your lies that jeopardize
So many things you do not realize
Because when you learn to disguise the truth
That compromise your future
On which you have to rely
To be able to get by
We are here to advise not criticize
Life is not about the lies
To that, your mom and I can testify
We would like to summarize
You will never see life's highest high's
It will only advertise
You're a man who is about the lies
Where few can sympathize
It will only capsize all your hopes and dreams
That fills your life with the sunlight
That holds you upright in Gods light
Putting your life in flight
Allowing you to become a man with integrity
That everyone can see
Who we brought you up to be
So please don't ever lie to anybody
If you want your life to be happy and free
Because people will show you respect
From what reflects from your eyes,
Not your dirty little lies
Don't want to get stuck living a lie
In a relationship that barely gets by
Day to day your heart unable to finalize
Stuck together unwilling to try
Anything new that makes us comply
Waking up every morning asking yourself why
Month after month wanting to say goodbye
How being together just makes you want to cry
Meanwhile, your life just keeps passing on by
Pray tomorrow leads to a different kind of high
So tired of living this alibi
Dreaming of a love that will kiss the sky
Without worrying where the other end lye
When I can open my eye's
Wanting to fantasize
Without feeling like someone wants to analyze
A well thought out surprise
Unable to find any compromise
Constantly feeling criticized
I have come to realize
How it all feels capsized
Hoping you will be able to empathize
That I am going to find another to harmonize
So every day will be like a new sunrise
With a woman who wants to maximize
All that symbolizes life's highest high's
One who wants to customize
A love that defies
Everything that makes your heart want to fly
Instead of living a love based on a lie
“Compromise is only a weakness between two who are unwilling to work together”.
In the tapestry of love, two souls entwined,
Marriages, a journey to perfect, beautifully designed.
Imperfect hearts melding in a dance,
A union of flaws, a second chance.
Discussion, the compass in the maze of the mind,
Seeking the truth, the answers to find.
Not to overpower, nor to lay blame,
But to illuminate the path, the passion's flame.
Arguments, not battles, but lessons to learn,
Discovering truths, for wisdom to earn.
In the clash of opinions, let insight arise,
A bridge to understanding, where empathy lies.
Yet, in compromise, a shadow may fall,
When unwilling hearts build a dividing wall.
A weakness not inherent, but a choice to sever,
The ties that bind, a bond to endeavor.
The Late Night Consultation, The Compromise, The New Delusion
Three nights of sadness, each a woe'some torture,
on that narrow ledge a cold raging deep within
I having lost that which I had foresworn to hold
and in that realization- saw myself as a true fool.
While wearing a smooth path on the silent floor
apathy and pain, moonlit beams beat on a crying soul
no amount of self-delusion calmed that sorrow
nor gave reprieve from guilt of a rash youthful act.
Sure there were those moments that I almost won
a compromise between aching heart and sad soul
but reality- its harsh resurrection invaded the scene
and dark despair into the room again loomed large.
Nothing to do but find a way to wake to a new dawn
get busy again with life and its many paths to take
yes, such clever deception had oft worked in the past
and does not each dawn promise a desirous new start?

( In a self-discovering look back at life )
I went to the mailbox
Much to my dismay
I would've rather had smallpox
Than what I found today
I may sound dramatic
And I guess that is true
But what I found so traumatic
You sounded so blue
Did it cross your mind
As I curled in your womb
That the people I'd find
Couldn't deal with your bloom
Did you find some compassion
When you ran with the wind
Did you dress in high fashion
Or the flower child trend
I hate that my screaming
Got under your skin
One nurse was redeeming
So the doctor dropped in
Now I will tell you
The source of our pain
Was a clavicle fracture
With a nerve induced strain
This poem is of childhood
And all it entails
I won't create falsehood
For truth always sales
Don't put your guilt and pity on me
Or whatever you felt in the latter
You'll never recall the flower I'll be
Came from mental abuse, hate and batter
I am tired of seeing war on the news
Get our acts together and get a clue
Not everyone needs to perish for you
Turn on those that try to hide truth
We have to see clearer than you knew
There is a field called Compromise;
I will meet you there.
To talk over our differences;
A feather of friendship, I wear.
I will listen to all;
That you have to say.
You listen the same to me;
We talk in a good way.
When two warriors;
Can come to understand.
We unite for our peoples;
All across these ancient lands.
A promise made;
To do battle no more.
Putting aside past bouts;
No longer keeping score.
A treaty of peace;
It is a new day.
From this day forward;
May it forever be this way.
I cast my anger;
To the ground.
It no longer serves me well;
I lay my war staff down.
I accept your pipe in friendship;
And offer it up towards the skies.
May Great Spirit keep sacred;
The field called Compromise.

I planted my feet firmly today
Rooted deep in faith, never again to sway
So now the world will scorn hate and despise
Dropping ugly rumors and whispered lies
To paint me bleakly as a canvas stained
Judged and unforgiven and try to blind again
I raise my tattered banner and stand my ground
Focus on eternity with decisions sound
God is my deliverer I will never deny
I will never surrender or compromise
The world can hate me, its really their loss
I no longer live for them, I live for the cross.
Love has No Compriomise
In your enamored eyes
I see nothing but peace that
serenades through the scarlet
clouds moving them from east
to west, free, gentle, yet
powerful
When I look into your eyes
I see no compromise
I see courage,
Then you tell me boldly,
courageously
Love has no compromise
Your eyes gaze into my soul.
Motivate me to search you
more and more
There is no despise, nor hate
I hear your voice of faith
That slowly approaches like a
magnitude of infinity
Time is your tool. You carve
your image of goddess and
Beauty and perfection, The
longing world melts in your
hands
Then I see your eyes
There is no compromise in your
eyes
You stop me for a moment
And remind me
That
Love has no compromise
Who wants good money, a nice a house and nice cars?
We all want to be millionaires, question is how far
What will one do to gain worldly goods?
Will one give up their God and values just to be greedy and get what they could?
Would one tell lies to sell something expensive?
Would one strip and do something explicit?
Would one do music that sends messages of death and sin?
Just so in the world of the rich, they could fit in
Would one give false prophesies
Just for financial gain
Would one lie to the saints during their dry season
So they can take their money and have the saints wishing for rain
Would one make a business out of serving the Lord?
And have the flock scattered and not one accord
Living a double life and using all funds to fulfill their dreams
Instead of using the funds to help the poor and removed from the unsaved eyes large beams
With me, there is no compromise
I want millions too
But I want to get the right way
And share it with those in need
Instead of keeping it all to myself
And living in a spirit of greed
I will not compromise my faith in God
Nor will I compromise my standards for life
To get the good things of this world
And still feel unfulfilled, like something in your life is not suffice
I love God and Jesus way too much
And I love others too
And I love myself; I love being me
And I know that chasing material things instead of waiting for God to elevate you can put you in bondage
While living for God and doing things His way will make you free
no one will win unless someone gives in ~
only then can compromise be found...

Sometimes he tries
To slim his size
But mostly sighs:
Weight on the rise.
Deferring fries,
And apple pies,
He never cries,
Nor does despise.
It’s no surprise
There’s no demise
In what he spies;
The arrow flies
To greater highs.
He does surmise
That it’s unwise
To demonize
Or criticize;
His will just dies.
A compromise!
And so he buys
A gallon size
Of ice cream: one
Instead of two.
Somebody starts everything
As a conflict
And makes it a compromise
In front of bribery
Election canvassing
Demonstration or strike
A long way to fight indeed
For truth and justice
Which is already existed
Before we arrived at this world
Why
In the olden days
My mother only took one photo for me
As a new born with the family members
My childhood gone plain without photos
When I got my 1st salary
I bought a camera
To take photos wherever I go
With my family
Schoolmates
Friends
Colleagues
Now When I open the photo album
Sad memories pour in
My parents gone
Some family members gone
Some of the colleagues gone
Some of the old classmates gone
Time betrays us
Some sweet memories left us
Fate seldom compromises
With dreams
And great expectations
But behind the sadness
Love will linger on
With the once happiest moments
Never dies
Now I use handphone to snapshot
The happiest moments
With all my loved ones
Sharp,quick and easy
Love and happiness
Will linger on and on
Never fade
