Compromise- Chastushka

Compromise- Chastuska

Memories of eternal togetherness,
Keep pinching my betrayed soul,
Why is he not defying to confess ?
Blinded by diamond now settled for coal ?

Is there a layer of mist before his eyes ?
My emotions till brim why can't he espy,
In front of mighty tiger as if a goat sighs,
Will friendship of a horse with grass justify ?

Congrats on the winners' list. I think he asked for only one. that might be why it is not placed higher.

This brought to mind the movie Life of Pi. This has a mood of wisdom about it. Good luck in Dr. Ram's contest.

a very interesting use of symbolism with the tiger and then the horse! I wonder is it based on asian astrology?

Dear Dr. Upma, You are the diamond and if he can't see it, then he is the coal. I had to giggle at the last line. How clever! Best wishes in Dr. Ram's contest. Love, Carolyn
