Best Compassionately Poems

Premium Member In the Moment

Sitting by his bed
Labored breathing
Time is short
Holding his hand
A prayer – for him, for me
Be strong and courageous
Eyes blink open for a moment
Then nothing – gone
Tears flow
Skin relaxes
Death pallor forms
Alone in the moment
Alone

Cell Phone rings
My daughter in a panic
Fear spikes my heart
Dad – there are ants in the bathroom
Relief – exhaling
Death in the moment
But also Life
Life

Goodbye dear friend
Our time over
Your precious love and wisdom
I take
To guide my moments
My moments

To love
To forgive
To encourage
To live
Each day
Each person
In every situation
Compassionately
Boldly
Completely
In every moment

In
Every
Moment

“I will soothe you and heal you,
I will bring you roses.
I too have been covered with thorns.”

Rumi

When the whole world,
behaved like her enemy,
a homeless heart was buried
in a private place so deep -
out of sight and out of reach.

Each time her emotions were breached,
her metaphorical spade dug darker and deeper -
her shield against shallow predators.

A mind scattered like shells lost in the sea,
yearning for calm waves to offer a sanctuary.
Fate led to the doorstep of her heart's pulse,
each vibration connecting two throbbing souls.

Beyond her make believe veil,
I saw an enchanted magic in her eyes,
celestial candlelight flickering so bright.
A secret smile that could melt hardened hearts,
through luscious lips reserved for special ones.

Although skeptical of words,
there was a desire to bathe
her in beautiful poetry,
caress her sun deprived skin,
stroke the strands of her hair -
silently moisturising her wounds.

Delving into the depth of her persona,
without touch, I felt her so close;
scattered, conflicted, but determined,
bruised, battered, scarred, but not bitter -
flawed, fragile, but compassionately fabulous.

A diamond left to rust, one desired to shine.

A wounded soul with razor sharp thorns,
reminding me of Rumi's desire to heal and soothe.

Oh my Gemini wall flower,
I wonder how your buds blossom,
as fragile florets yearn for foundations,
encouraging their roots to bloom.

If I should sow you into erratic earth,
suspicious sun might suppress its love,
relentless rain may suffocate your air,
with wicked winds stripping your petals.

So I will hold you in my hands,
compassionately caress your soul.
Implant you in my heart,
so my love can cultivate you -
protecting you from the storm.

Empathetic eyes will gaze,
enchanted by your elegance,
lost within the tranquillity of
your rare radiant scent.

Oh my Gemini wall flower,
you may be a lotus or a rose,
it does not matter much to me.

~his Name Is Wonderful~

Jesus~
Earned his name~
Suffered all the pain~
Under the hands of men~
Settled with hate against him~

Compassionately he forgave them still~
He loved us then and he always will~
Rising he gave us the right to survive~
Intoxicating he is to all of our lives~
Supplying our each and every need~
Thank you father, For blessing me~

Our king above kings~
Understanding he brings~
Radiant he is indeed~

Living for Christ is the greatest thing~
Only in him may you rest in peace~
Remember each day to trust and forgive~
Divided from him is no way to live~

Premium Member God Is Our Hope Beyond Christmas

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Titus 2:13 of the King Jame Bible

Our blessed hope radiates this Christmas and beyond gloriously…
The birth of the Saviour Jesus jubilantly
Surely bringing redemption to us compassionately
With the promise of eternal life and divine nature to experience abundantly.

Our great hope glistens with great assurance…
The sacrifice of Christ that vanquished hell’s endurance
Surely forgiving us in our confessed transgression-defiance
With the acquittal from sin’s penalty and self-righteous arrogance.

Our blissful hope shines upon biblical revelation…
The resurrection of the Lord that subdued everlasting damnation
Surely ordaining us in our believers’ royal position
With the subjugation of death’s sting and its fatal destruction.

Our steadfast hope glitters through blessed worship…
The work of the Father that exposes His leadership
Surely molding us while striving to do well by His enabling partnership
With the guidance of His wisdom and prudence for faithful stewardship.

Our triumphant hope sparkles along gratitude delight…
The goodness of God that proclaims His magnificent height
Surely upholding us in steadfastly sharing the Gospel light
With the truth of His inerrant Word and immutable covenant’s might.

Our momentous hope glows against attacking uncertainty…
The prodding of the Holy Spirit that seals His authority
Surely keeping us to stay in His will’s protective security
With the answers to fervent prayers and earnest supplications’ entreaty.

Our joyous hope brightens toward a triumphant moment…
The coming of the King that declares prophecy’s fulfillment
Surely ensuring us of precious rewards due to gracious accomplishment
With the commendation for favoured devotion and commitment.

Premium Member Thanksgiving Testimony

Lord, thank You for saving…
…my condemned life that was bound to hell
By Your grace, excelling compassionately well
With Your redemption* so that in heaven I can surely dwell
Transforming me from rebelliousness thru the Gospel!

Lord, thank You for rescuing…
…my sinful soul from the lake of fire
By Your love, fulfilling the perfect sacrifice You did require
With Your pardon acquitting me from penalty of sin’s mire
Making me Your child, tamed by Your kindness that doesn’t expire!

Lord, thank You for winning…
…my arrogant nature from filthiness
By Your mercy, vanquishing evil and wickedness
With Your justification for my righteousness
Enabling me to strive for holiness!

Lord, thank You for prevailing over…
…my vain faith in false religion
By Your Scriptures, rebuking every idolatrous region
With Your truths to free me from abomination’s dungeon
Snatching me from the devil’s deceiving legion!

Lord, thank You for converting…
…my deceitful heart midst pride’s deadly cost
By Your humility, reaching out to the lost
With Your power and might of the Holy Ghost
Leading me to submit to You, serving with my best and utmost!

Lord, thank You for cleansing…
…my self-willed personality from carnality’s impurity
By Your sanctification, purging every worldliness, and vanity
With Your purification from any iniquity
Blessing me in obeying Your authority!

Lord, thank You for driving…
…my uncertain future to Your direction from terrible disaster
By Your omniscience, controlling all events as the Master
With Your victory against tribulation's setter
Guiding me to aspire for Christ-like character!

*1Corinthians 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

Unmasked

Inside a boisterous tavern,
a-light with drunken gaiety
of spilled ribald laughter,
he quietly sits alone ...
gently cradling his mead darkly
Brooding thoughts of past paid coverings
buzzes inside his head
Talking flies having the faces of the dead
“Have mercy, please”
This haunting cry, they all pled ...
except the halo head ones
“I forgive you”
This they all compassionately say
in time dispersed unison
The self-muted giant rubs his eyes,
still in somber inner disquietude,
at this troubling sight he has seen several times
Witnessing a bright, shining glow,
which radiates all around the tops of those
who call themselves Christian disciples —
before descends the sharp, quieting blow
It is by his liege, Caesar’s command,
to eradicate the scattering vermin radicals,
that he daily swings the severing blade
The duty-bound Herodian executioner
must always stay masked
when the murdering performance ensues
This is by privileged decree:
the entertainment requirement rules
A black cloth covering,
sprinkled with scarlet droplets,
is the terror mask his masters has him use
Rabid crown sycophants love their crucifixions,
the Roman preferred method of capital punishment
But, his under-lord, Herod, still adheres
to the ancient Molech ways —
Death by the beheading blade
Sighing, the brooding giant gazes about the riotous inn
with roaring, unspoken disdain
Even without the ritual Deimos mask on,
all within the tavern knows his occupation,
evidenced by his massive frame
They yield a fearful wide berth to him,
no one sits in the seats around his hulking presence
Looking down at his Pilate-cursed hands,
he sees the blood of the guilty and the innocent
Bloody hands that can’t be washed clean ... never
As long as he raises his arms,
and lets the body-separating blade swing

Ultra Sound

There is omniscient God
And there is Ultra Sound Lady
And then there is Me
With 24 hours left ahead to wonder.

Two of the three knows my fate.

Cool blue goo swiped across my body
And the nice lady
Pats my bare thigh so intimately so compassionately
With such a sense of genuine comfort
That I wonder if she does that
All day long
With all her pan of patients
Rolled like dough beneath her hands on a dinner table

Or if perhaps we had made a connection
Or if it was just ultra sound code for good luck
Or hang in there
Or was it the first of many explanations beginning with,
“I’m sorry I have to tell you…”

But anyway she said to go ahead and let my breath go
And that it was over for the day.

As if I were her husband
Dressing in front of her
In our morning bedroom
I fastened my buttons and tucked my shirt
Zipped my pants and re-tied my tie

Chatting small talk about anything and everything
But for what was truly in front of us both
Along with fate
For the rest of the day.

Two know the truth
While the other dares not ask.

You Are Beautiful

There is a beauty inside you,
So precious and true,
The love in your heart, is like no others,
Its way of expression is your own beautiful song,
You are all that is beautiful, your soul is beauty itself,
All you ever need is contained in your heart's wealth,
When you allow your self to 'be you', others are also them selves......

Your soul is endless love, beauty and perfect,
Dance to your own song,
And you will always feel you belong,
Express your unique gifts,
Follow your heart,
Be who you are, which is beauty itself,
And you will be lost in awe of your true nature,
Which is perfect beauty....

Always see the best in your self....
Love your self unconditionally...
In this hard road of life, you are doing your best...
Compassionately embrace your self....
For life is not easy.......it's often filled with trials....
And when you become weary, never judge your self,
For your soul is, has always been and forever will be endless love and beauty,
And your wounds and mistakes shouldn't be judged,
You've done your best through all kinds of struggles,
But you are perfectly beautiful just as you are.

Premium Member Dedicated To P D

Poet Destroyer and theKidster, SillyBilly
were once slamming opponents on this soup of poetry.
I would slam her initially,
then she would slam me (very poorly).
I would always concede eventually
but not because P D truly crushed me.
I was just acting compassionately humanly.
I didn't want to cause her to cry like a little big baby.
I must however give credit to little P D.
She had multiple accounts at this soup of poetry
and one of her multiple personalities
would conspire with me on how to crush P D.
Little did I know I was conversing with she.
Pretty ingenious if you ask me.
I'm getting off track and referring to her kindly.
That's not how a true slam is supposed to be.

Premium Member Let Us Love

If
There is anything worth
Dying for, my friend, it is
LOVE:
Love for our God
Love for our country
Love for our family
Love for our friends
Love for our fellow Man
Love for love's sake,

Because

There is nothing nobler,
Nothing more dignified
Nothing more elevated
Nothing more holly
Nothing more sacred
Nothing more divine than love,

For love

Is God's voice
Is God's will
Is God's wisdom
Is God's determination to
Unify the Cosmos and Man alike
And
By doing so to make both of them
whole!

Therefore

Let us love my friend:
Let us love unselfishly
Let us love unconditionally
Let us love altruistically
Let us love compassionately
Let us love benevolently

For

That is the only way
The anxiety of Man for human affairs
Forever
Would disappear and peace and harmony
Shall be established on our planet and in
Our souls!

My Sister

She is an Amazing Sister, on who I can depend,
She's compassionately loving and she's my best friend.
She's been my rock, she's always kept me strong,
She'll forever be in my heart, right where she belongs.
She listens to me, when I share my fears,
She's there to hold me, when I shed my tears.
We can sit and talk for hours, about times gone by,
Like the silly things we’ve done, when we’d laugh until we’d cry.
She's cared for her nephews, in such a loving way,
They never wanted to come home, with her they wanted to stay.
She's there for her Brother-in-Law, if he's ever blue,
Because she knows, he’d be there for her too.
She always seems to know, the right words to say,
To ease my worries and make me feel okay.
Loving her comes easy, it takes no effort at all,
When I’m with her, I feel ten feet tall.
I keep every memory we’ve made, locked inside my heart,
I take them out and reminisce, whenever we’re apart.
As the years have flown by, we’ve had so much fun,
I could laugh all night with her, until the dawning of the sun.
I couldn’t have chosen a better sister, if I was able to pick my own,
With her to guide and comfort me, I’ll never be alone.
The times we now spend together, maybe every once in a little while,
Right now, I'll just say, I Love her and I really miss her smile.

Premium Member The Archangel and My Suffering

Once an Archangel, witnessing my suffering,

Descended close to me himself* to find

And

With great compassion inquired what was the

Cause of my pain

“ I can’t understand why so much, I have to suffer.”

Hesitantly, I replied

“Well,” he said compassionately,

“This is the only way for you, wisdom to gain!”
