Come Back To Me

The Ink Bottle sits, alone,
It’s only Companions,
The Feathered Pen,
The Paper Pad.

The Desk, once alive,
The Words,
No longer,
Written.

Love, abandon,
But wanting not,
The Freedom,
It has.

A Wooden Chair, dusty,
Reclines not,
For the Comfort,
Once given.

Time, a mystery gone,
With passing,
Never to be recovered,
Longing.

Days of gloom, waiting,
Shine not, The Light,
The Heart,
Once brightened.

Come back, to Me,
My words, of Joy,
Of Laughter,
Wisdom, once known.

Come Back To Love

When roads of discontentment
take you places you don’t like
and the feelings you discover
                leave you frightened and alone

Just come back to love
                                 Come back to love

When the message in the mirror
lets you know you’ve gone too far
and there is no clear direction
in a maze of fear and pain

Just come back to love
                                  Come back to love

I say this to myself as I would to you
when the world seems far away
When I feel there’s nothing left
and no one left to hold

I just come back to love
                                I come back to love

Come Back, My Love

After 4months & 1 week of separation, 129 days of tears and depression,
With a pimpled face and many grey hair, I write these lines,

wishing you were here.................

Marking the calendar as each day goes by...
My loneliness continues, I miss you and cry,
Near me you are but not with me,
How at peace can I possibly be?

I fast, visit temples and constantly pray,
"Dear God, bring back my love to me"- I say,
"oh Lord!, you said you sent him to me,
Then gone away from me, why has he?"

Eyes constantly glued to the door…
Ears await the ring of the phone…
Sonya, I long to see you and hear you say,
"Dear, I am back, hold me the same way".

"Chalo ice cream khilata hoon,
Laugh! Laugh! Ravan's sister-chidata hoon,
Dear, what did you do when I was gone?
I learnt to sing those pending two songs".

"Dear, I love you more than you do"
Why do you cry when I am with you?
I bought our car, home-n-jhoola just for you
Happily together we will live in our MAMU".

Come Back

I sit here waiting, watching,
Wondering when you'll come back,
Wondering what I did wrong,
and what is it that I lack?

Was it something I had done,
That made you go away?
Was it something I did?
What did I say?

I sit here loving every memory,
And everything you gave to me.
Your words, your love, your touch,
I loved you so much.

Now your gone,
Where? I cannot see.
I sit here waiting, watching,
For when you come back to me.

Premium Member I Will Come Back As An Organ Grinder

Reincarnated, I will come back as a mustached and bearded Italian organ grinder,
I will live in Rome, Italy and play my home-made barrel organ in the streets,
My pet spider monkey, Shark, will happily grab up silver coins, as a reminder.
And we will make the beautifully-dressed Roma gypsies jump and laugh and squeak.

I will grind out the best songs, and Ellen will discover us and want to put us on TV.
Shark and I will be flown to America, where we will be applauded and approved.
We will play romantic music for everyone, and be as obnoxious as we can be.
We will be a hit with no one on that plane, people who are boring, and not easily moved.

We will be offered millions of dollars, to leave our wonderful streets of Rome.
But we will make our escape, not caring about the fame or the money,
For spider monkeys and organ grinders know the beauty of being in their home,
And we have a cozy nest, with our llamas and our elephant, named Honey.

Come Back

I wait patiently for the return of my friend

We parted as lovers
It felt like the end

But a true friend is forever
We can start again

Leave behind the lover

Come Back To My Sky

Come back to my sky O truculent sun
Do not go behind your clouds of gray
Do not from hunger wander away
I want to feel you deep in the green
Vein of leaves turning water to wine
I want to breathe you from sweet vine
Blowing kisses of oxygen by which I
Tell your stoic anguish for me to do well
O do not leave me, time writes our age
On petals while our passions rage
Mortal as a dew. I love your warmth
Your cosy way of giving ... and dying
Like us you never complain ... giving
Your life to be our dust ... I am inspired
By you, stay until my winter is expired.

~*come Back To Me*~

When we were together I always thought what could be
But now that you’re gone
All I see is our memories
You were there to help me and
Guide me through the way
Now I just sit lonely on my bed and pray
Praying that you will come back to me someday
When I see your face I just want to cry
I know crying doesn’t help but it’s the only way I can express
How I really feel inside

Slice Ham So Thin, Your In-Laws Will Never Come Back

Slice ham so thin, your in-laws will never come back

This pearl of wisdom came my way
So many years ago
A TV ad that to this day,
The funniest I know

It sliced and diced, did everything
A kitchen chef could seek
In fact, it claimed that it could make
ONE tomato last a week!

But best for me as I recall,
Laughed so hard, I could die-
Onions it could dice so fast,
You don’t have time to cry!

Premium Member Come Back To Us

Your heart has become so dark
No truths are spoken from your lips
You are only about yourself anymore
We wonder where has the real you gone

What happened to turn you so cruel
Asking to be forgiven again and again
Will you ever turn your life back around
Cling to the love that is given to you

Hold eye contact to your family lifeline
Know that we are here for you evermore
When we see you hurt we hurt even more
We love you more then you will ever know

You are hurting more then just yourself
Take a good look into your mirror dear
Ask yourself where the gentle you has gone
We pray you find her and her gentle heart

And when you find her once more
We pray you will come back to us
Our love for you continues to grow
This you should always remember

Premium Member Ya'Ll Come Back

In those early years, growing up in the country
Walking barefoot, on old gravel roads
With neighborhood friends, a dog or two
Pulling a wagon of pop bottle gold

We were pirates, marauders, searching for treasure
In the ditches, as we walked, to the store
In simpler days, with much simpler ways
Soon, to pass in, to folklore

It had an old screen door, with a long squeaky spring
Which greeted you as you entered
Slapping shut behind you, with a distinctive, CLAP!
Bringing the storekeeper front and center

While the old man figured, what was already known
We each grabbed a little paper sack
Just like 49'ers, digging for gold
We mined the penny candy rack

The thick gray planks, were buckled from age
Some held by a single nail
A few odd chairs, scattered about
Hosts to many an exaggerated tale

So many memories from that old porch
Telling stories and eating ice cream
Counting the cars, on the passing freight trains
Each one, hauling a different dream

Over a half a century, since those boyhood days
But I can still hear that clicketty-clack
Still taste the penny candy, see the old man smile
Hear him say," Thank you and ya'll come back.

Come Back To Me - a Lover's Complaint

I don’t know how I should speak of you.
Love of my life, my soul’s companion soul,
A breath and heartbeat indispensable as mine,
Yin to my yang and, too, contrariwise,
Keystone to my arch, and cornerstone--

Because I cannot look into your eyes,
Love, you cannot see me keen, and pine,
And ache deep down, sheer to the bone.
(Such is the chronic, chafing toll
Your absence wreaks in me.) I’d screw

Me up to chide you, but that would not avail;
I’d rail against my lot and pound my breast
If that would bring you here to me at last,
Or seek you like some almost-holy grail.

But since I cannot feel you next to me,
Or softly sense your soul through clasping hands,
How can I frame in words the buried deeps
You plumb? My very quarks crave yours, so strong
And fundamental my desire’s become.

And so no matter what or how I say
I love you, all inadequate and tongue-
Tied, the words are merely stereotypes
As timeworn as the Sphinx in shifting sands,
And just as cryptic.  Oh, come home;

For then my eyes will redirect my voice,
Inspiring by your nearness all those words
Eluding me till now. Let loose the cords
That keep you from me, and confer your grace.
