clearly

i thought i could see clearly
clearly was an overstatement

there you were
an intruder in my concealment
leading me astray
insidiously blurring my vision

yet i pursued you without hesitation
uninterested in the warnings
how could i be so careless?

you brainwashed me
fed me lies upon lies
how could i be so stupid?

you made me feel precious
somewhat valuable
i took a chance on you

you were patient with me
carving away at the wall i had built
vulnerable,
i let you see the real me

you told me you were different
i believed you

we laughed together
made memories
i felt at ease with you

you told me you loved me
i believed you

all along
i was chasing a mirage
was it all a coax?

i reminisce about the smirk on your face
seeking your port in a storm
i wasn't the only one you made feel precious
there were others

i thought you loved me?

you told me you were sorry
but the damage you did was irreparable
you finally revealed your true colours
i couldn't forgive you

and suddenly
i could see everything clearly

I Clearly Embrace Inner Peace

I clearly embrace inner peace

Written By Dean Masciarelli

February 27, 2010 (9:17am)

I clearly embrace inner peace

With humility and grace

In this journey that I must face

And I will continue to express

My gratitude in life

Through gentle acts
of kindness

By loving others

With compassion

And understanding

And true tenderness

And hopefully some
day people
just might remember

My canvas

And all of my
unique colors

That are layered
underneath the surface

Rejuvenating world
A sun of orange, yellow, and red.
Blue bird tree, ebony swirled
Artist clearly has creative head

Exhilarating magic
Whimsical ideas profound
Spiral snow fantastic
Appreciation all around

Circulating in my head
Visions of pure whimsy
Delicate colors, clearly fed
Artwork anything but flimsy

Rejuvenating world
Makes my soul want to sing
My dendrites clearly twirled
Magic world in the spring.

I Can See Clearly Now

there was these woods as a kid that always gave me chills
full of trees and rocks, ponds and hills
there were more things lurking that in the forest
snakes hanging from trees ,wolves howling in chores

i couldn't help thinking that those were unholy grounds
always feared entering due to frighting sounds
then there was always this bonechillin breeze
constantly have you thinking that someone was hiding behind the trees

at night you could hear the different monsters as they creep
listen closely you'll hear the pounding sounds of giant feet's
just the dreary darkness gave me quite the scare
so i never cared to know what was really out there

but here i am i'm back now
and i must overcome my fear of those woods somehow
just one more fear , i know i can kick it
and i found out those woods were just some thickets

alot of tall grass and a few smalls trees
and those snakes hanging were just funny looking leaves
i geuss i imagine all those creepy sounds
for there was nothing but coons and dogs running around

there were pine cones falling and the flapping wings of birds
and that small creek cant be all the water i heard
well i guess those woods don't scare me like they did
cause i see much clearer now than when i was a kid!!!!!!!!

Premium Member To See Thee More Clearly

One year when our children were young
We took a trip to the Black Hills area
Where we stopped to our cave
That was advertized to be one of the deepest in the world
At one point
The guide turned off his lantern
So we could experienced the absolute darkness
Two people found the situation so frightening
That they had to be escorted out of the cave
Sometimes we have to experience the total lack
Of something before we appreciate
How much we depend on it
Like the sun
God’s light is always there
But we can put ourselves in a position
Where we don’t let it penetrate our hearts
Rage
Resentment and jealousy all block the love
And mercy that we most need
And keep us from seeing a person
Or situation clearly
It is in those moments that we make the choice
To stay in the darkness
Or call out for light

Clearly a Civil War, Not Genocide

Tis' not genocide!
Government- and- locals fight.

What Bell Rings Out So Clearly For You?

Hells bells, the ringing always carries on
Life be it beautifully great still endures
Ravages, we in this dark world, are cast upon
Temptations, great multitude of dark allures.
What bell rings out so clearly for you?

Massively sad are the long and crying bells
Peeling out that string of long blue notes
The ringing sends the message that tells
Nobody needs to send out words they wrote.
What bell rings out so clearly for you?

We may hear, not know for whom the bell tolls
Dire such bells ring in with a call to alarm
Such is how Fates streams in rushing flows
So unlike cow bells singing out on the farm.
What bell rings out so clearly for you?

For many happy events beautiful bells extol
Signal to join in the joy or meet to pray
This the sound that all God's children know
Calling out, walk calm in the Christian way
What bell rings out so clearly for you?

When loved one is sick, off goes alarm bells
Ringing in your mind like a dropping shoe
Then the call to prayer rushes and so impels
Miracles often brought if your faith is true!
What bell rings out so clearly to you?

Clearly a Vision

Beauty! Inspired by the eyes of God
Vividly beautiful visions in my mind
My senses are awake - I feel , I see
The luster - the elegance of the charming rose
I recollect the memories as they linger
Petal by petal - breathtaking the bud
I touch the velvety flower with it's thorn it is silk
I am mesmerized by it's loving abilities
My cognitive thoughts then embrace me
As it multiples by the dozen - the bouquet
I breathe the prominence of its scent
The sweet fruit gives breath , it over powers me
The beauty of " How do I love thee" thus I say
I say it with a rose - here it is , for you
My mind wanders and those visions I see
Of its bloom embedded in my brain
With love - I am infatuated as if I knew
The flower hypnotized , my daring thoughts to tell
That the inspiration that I only knew so well
Would overwhelm me and then I taste the bud
Embracing myself I do then clearly refrain
From bitter thoughts of my life I endure
I see God's beauty can always open the door
Beneath the snow in these winter blues
I visualize my precious rose it grows
Stunted til life remarkably resurrects
Thus the beloved rose in the ground , God protects
We open our eyes and soon the visions in bloom
Our senses are clear and the rose be our breath
To build a love binding growth of life after death
And as the roots silently listen may the rose then be loved
Nourished by God sunshine and the beauty of rain
Listening to every strength of the shining rays and every drop
Then may the trickling rain be known to then inspire
The beauty of the Bud, in our hearts, may it bear no pain.

I Can See Clearly Now

When I see the flowing fields of wheat and the clouds just above
It is the Lord's Name I will repeat in the seeing of His great love
Every bird in the sky, all the unique creatures living in His sea
All I can do is sit back and sigh, all created by the Lord's decree

Darwin was a complete idiot in the matters of just such a belief
But it's too late for him to admit that his evolution is comic relief
What good is it to gain all but in return you end up losing your soul
This was Darwin's great fall for even with it all he can't pay the toll

And that other nut Madalyn O'Hare she ended up winning her case
Facing a God who is so just and fair, the One she tried to disgrace
The elephant , beaver and rabbit all know what is clear for all to see
So even if you refuse to admit you won't find that quality within me

Look how each creature is provided for as scientist stumble to name
Of Your Holy Name I am sure and thus shiver in seeing such shame
Lord remove the scales from their eyes as you have blessed me so
Oh Lord please help them to realize the One true thing that I know

I Can'T See Clearly Now

I was blinded from the beginning
Especially with all the sinnin'
Look deep within my eyes
See, there is no lies

In my eyes there is no deceit
In my heart no defeat
Wake up my wife
Dispose of all the strife

Once upon a time in reality
You and I were meant to be
But you let Satan steal it
Every beautiful little bit

Clearly Understood

Urban Sonnet

Is it so hard to say the things you feel?
Why seal up thoughts in words that beg for truth?
I braced myself to read a languid spiel
and first assayed to read it as a youth.
When that was done, I scoured it like a sleuth
and found these parts, considered most uncouth.

I read: her odd mouth makes his heart so wise.
The line about her ghostly smile is weird;
and note the one regarding her strange eyes.
His conversation tells just what is feared...
he sees her beauty, something to be smeared.
E. wrote love sonnets not to be revered.

Before its birth, this liaison is done;
a Halloweenish picture, poet notes.
If he had read King Solomon for fun,
then Cumming's Song of Songs might well use quotes
from the wise king, "your hair, a flock of goats."
"your teeth, like sheep, newly shorn of their coats."

Presenting notions from which women part,
such "unreality" would break my heart.

Urban Sonnet Poetry Contest by Emile Pinet

my urban sonnet (above) reveals my first reaction to this sonnet (below)
Unrealities. III by E.E. Cummings

it is at moments after i have dreamed
of the rare entertainment of your eyes,
when (being fool to fancy) i have deemed

    with your peculiar mouth my heart made wise;
at moments when the glassy darkness holds

the genuine apparition of your smile
(it was through tears always) and silence moulds
    such strangeness as was mine a little while;

moments when my once more illustrious arms
are filled with fascination, when my breast
wears the intolerant brightness of your charms:

one pierced moment whiter than the rest

--turning from the tremendous lie of sleep
i watch the roses of the day grow deep.

I Remember Clearly

it is my past. What can I say?
Happened long ago or yesterday
You see, there was this girl.
She was my friend, I knew her well, too well actually.
She would dress up each night, make up beautifully
And step out in her heels. Night life was her thing

Ooooooooooooooo, there was this other girl
For her, she liked to be asked out
Expensive dinners and after sex
Morning after pills and shameful regrets
Time after time, was her thing.

Did I tell you about this one night,
The night she almost died!
With all her friends gone, to sleep their liquor off
She kept wondering, "why am I doing all this?"
Why am I wasting away my life
As she kept throwing up continuously
Terrible night it really was, she was at the edge of death!

But i Bless the Lord for that night, for when
She woke the next morning
She was changed!!
Her mind made up, I need Jesus.
Alleluia, Glory to God!
And like I said at the start," what can I say"
It is my past.
