My fingers fly fast on the typewriter keys.
I'll leave her a note, my land-lady to please.
We've had some long talks as we wait for our men,
and she doesn't know when she will see hers again.
Mine's coming home and I'm traveling to meet him.
I know he's been hurt, but I'm eager to greet him.
I can't really believe I'll soon be in the sky.
Common sense tells me those big things can't fly.

I'll reveal the secret that he doesn't know,
not a secret much longer, I'm beginning to show.
Cigarette in my hand is burning my fingers
as smoke from the last in small room, still lingers.
I empty full ashtray of butts, some stained red
and look again for lost earring under my bed.
The lone gold earring still lies there with no mate
but my taxi has come, looking for it must wait.
I put my ticket in it as I pick up my purse,
still wondering if I am his wife or his nurse.
I talk to myself as I close and lock door,
reminding myself again, how much I hate war.

Pink Pork Chop Bill

There once was a pink, pig named Bill,
who climbed up a big, big hill.
He climbed to the top
not to be pork chop,
but his big owner found him still.

The Power of Chop Suey

Getting the Chop

I have to own up to a crime;
I've chopped a few heads in my time.
It's not what you think
They used to be pink
And fragranced with perfume sublime!

Chop Suey

I once had a friend named Louie
who never gave a hooey
about when he ate
as long as his mate
fixed his favorite chop suey.

Louie was married to Betty
who much preferred spaghetti
but when Louie said, "Please,
fix my favorite Chinese"
Betty said, "I won't be so petty

since pasta is in the suey
and I really love you, Louie."
So she took all day
chop, chopping away
till onions made her eyes dewy.

Help!! I don't have an end
to this saga of my friend ...
no way to finish
this tasty suey dish
perhaps you have one to lend?

Kitty's Chinese Chop Suey Restaurant

Kitty’s Restaurant

By Elton Camp

As a name for a Chinese place to eat,
“Kitty’s Chop Suey” can sure be beat

If, perchance, it’s the owner’s name
I wouldn’t view it quite the same

As an Asian name it doesn’t ring true
Much more likely would be Wong Sue

Thus, to go to this restaurant to eat
Makes one wonder about the meat

A coincidence, or could it be true
That the meat once used to mew?

My Kung Fu Chop Suey Present

My Kung Fu Chop Suey Present

On my thirty-fourth birthday off to China's best; traveled I went
So very uneventful and unaware I blithely lost all my well-earned money and spent,
As I entered into a Chinese restaurant and telephoned Connie Chang's
Alas, I'd decided to relinquish my yearnings and fill my hunger pangs.

On an undecided moment, I ordered chop suey and plate of spring rolls,
Also, a bottle of plonk to keep out the shivering unwanted cold
I ate so fast and drunk like a half drowned starved human sprinkler,
Putting my calloused hands in my pockets, found my frozen fingers.

Then found out I didn't have enough money to pay the restaurant bill
Then decided to leave and dash; when all was quiet and very still,
Once I was outside, to my eyes, I was shocked with angst and surprise,
All the waiters were waiting there with ugliness in their piercing eyes!

All at once they did many Kung Fu Chops unto my veiled eyes and stamped on my head
Their contempt in their eyes was to leave me so bruised and brutally dead,
They violently attacked me like a raging tiger in heat, then all at once I was still and all alone,
My blood had been spread apart and muscles were strung out and splintered right to my very bone.

They surely unraveled me, quite inadequately because back then I was very sure
This adventure of mine was an espionage of a birthday present for me to remember much of violence and gore,
I callously lay in a hospital bed for six or seven long endless months or weeks
I'm telling you all this had happened for a simple plate of chop suey and fresh steaks and leaks,
You do a great many of silly things when you are young and adventurous--haha! And that was all in a blurr.

Premium Member Chop Down More Timber

The topic for today, “will we have a mild winter?”
Will we race through winter with the speed of a sprinter
Will spring come early
For me and my girlie
Or need to go into the woods and chop down more timber

Chop Sticks

There in a land foreign
Folks did not give us forks
Instead they said...
 "chop the food with sticks"

The sticks stuck to my hands...
l could not eat
From across the table a voice said ...
"well then, use your hands instead"

Kung Fu Chop Suey

This poem was written for my friend Sonya Mako Wong

Kung Fu Chop Suey

On my twenty-fifth birthday off to China's best travelled I went
So very unfruitful and unaware I enormously lost all my money thus spent,
Then I entered a Chinese restaurant and telephoned Tonya Chang's,
Alas, I'd aimed to relinquish my yearnings of humble hunger pangs.

In a strategic moment, I ordered chop suey and a plate full of spring rolls,
Also, a full bottle of plonk to keep out the shivering unwanted cold
I ate so fast and drank like a half drowned starved tinkler,
Putting my hands in my pockets, found nothing but frozen fingers.

Found out I did not have enough money to pay for the food bill
Right there and then decided to leave when it was quiet and so still,
But then once outside, all to my eyes was shocked with utter surprise,
Were all the waiters standing there with venom in their piercing eyes!

They all did many kungFu chops unto my veiled eyes, then stamped on my head
their obvious contempt was to leave me so bruised and so very dead,
They attacked me like a lunging tiger in heat, then I was so still and prone,
For my blood had rippled and muscles were strung out and splintered right to the bone.

They surely unravelled me, inadequately back then that was so very sure,
A quite eventful birthday present to remember full of much violence and gore
I lay in a hospital for an extended six or seven long months or weeks,
All this had happened for a simple plate of chop suey and fresh leaks.

You do plenty of silly things when your young-ha ha! And that was all a blur!!

It is as American as crackers and cheese.
So many people believe it is Chinese.
Cook meat or shrimp in a wok that is very nice.
Serve it with lots of veggies and white rice.
If you travel to places such as Shanghai or Beijing,
most of the people living there never heard of such a thing
A Chinese restaurant is the only place you will see
this famous dish of great popularity.
You can find it on a menu in either column A or column B
This item is known to all as “Chop Suey”

Chop Up a Chicken

Anti-social at its finest
I'm Johnny Unitas
Nobody’s highness
I hate drugs
I hate when people rely on highness
Yes weed heads turn into junkies
My crush when I was 16 is now a flunky
Lord please lay your grace on Paul and Chunky
Chopin chickens
Using Noonie's kitchen
No the chicken isn't baked, fried, or rotisserie
It's the chicken for the vixens
My brothers missing
To be real with you my brother died
Heroin left his brain fried
Heroin left me without an Erik
Oh he's in a better place
That response is generic
Do you see what I see?
Maybe you need a dosage of carrots
Thank god for friends Jade and Jalyn
They deserve a merit
Slangin chickens makes more money
Than my 2 jobs put together
Rashadtnae changed my view on heffers
I'm clutch but clever
I can't stand to lose another person to drugs
So ties will be severed
It's not whatever
I take it serious
The only way I can talk to my brother again
Is in spirit
Choppin chickens
Piano flippin
Everybody is either selling or doing drugs
But I wanna be different
21
21
I hate the sun
But I'm Angie's son
Rocky couldn't handle the responsibility of being a mom
So the state took her kids and let her run
Having my name in your mouth must be fun
Having my name in your mouth must be tasty entertainment
I love when people hate me
It’s anti-love so how could I hate it
Anti-social
21 forever
I am hopeful
Anywhere But Here
But Louisville is all know
I love the locals
I love Sharleeta
Love wouldn't love without hoes and cheaters
Lord Jesus this world
It's so drug ridden
Chop me up before I chop a chicken
Does it look like I'm playing?
Does it look like I'm kidddin?
Kidding around with heroin
Is how I lost my older sibling

Pro life chop shops
sanctity botched
chain your baby makers
inspect your baby’s crotch
laws ban
lives hang
hangers wrought and bought
the worst of how we’re natured

belts
you’re just another notch

fit in
or sin
resisting a rest
existing erased
pop up chop shops
for furl of brow and fraught
the worst of how we’re natured

belts
you’re just another notch

Chop Up

"chop up"

Majestically walk
Chop up
Majestically walk
To see your strengths
Under the son of the sun

Glimmering the rotten land
For freedom
Always relative to power

The son replays
I’m that exists a priori
Bedrock, supreme, no embellishment
Where apology
To you three breasts,
Required, in different to denial or challenge
Within the poor majority

To the rag wears
And the tear drinkers
 Let you die
Under the father fasces
Because you didn’t planned to become
The king of the land
