I chance upon her
in the far reaches of the backyard,
a place I never go. There she trembles.
A tiny tiger, whose newborn eyes blur the world,
secreted in mother-scented-shadows
below blackthorn shrubs.

Faint mews draw me closer.
The power of her vulnerability
fills my veins with a ripple rising,
brimming me with a nectar needed,
like a dry stream bed restored by remedy rains.

How helpless she is with new eyes open.
Her eyes like skylights — clear
and filled with new-wild-blue innocence.
Neglected yet beautiful, I sense in her
the familiar phenomenon of the impulse to pulse.
Her outsized feistiness belying
such a petite package of plea and need
with teeny needle claws and barely a wisp of a hiss
...and I recall when I felt the fear
of being small and voiceless in a choiceless world.

Born a feral kitten, her mother likely lost
to speed-wheels of a car or snap-jaws of coyotes,
whose throats float steaming howls above black
saw-toothed pines to haunt the long night moon
...and I wonder, if she wonders,
if the sweet-milk-purrs with soft belly fur
will ever return to snuggle her.

She’s been cold and alone for far too long.
So I gather her in the hug of my hands
warming her as I draw her in and curl
my chest around her littleness.
A shield formed against her lone-ness.
  ...and I, a long-ago-child abandoned,
a child whose silent cries heard only by stoic walls,
reclaims a voice that helps me make a choice
not to let Nature decide how birth and fate collide.

So I sit with her, swaddle her, love her.
Nourish her with eye-dropper milk where
hearth embers still glow after the fire,
to heal the orphan and raise the phoenix within.

Born In a Ghetto

BORN IN A GHETTO

Powerless and choiceless birth and place
It is the place where dreams are turned into fantasy
The elite and elect build walls to cage us in caves of poverty
This place where Politian’s use us as the door doormats
We are all nothing in the ghetto, just rats to be feed to cats
In my own country I have become economical and mental slave
Tribalism and nepotism is the only way to get a respectable job
I despise to live and die in the ghetto; I will fight my way to the top

From a place being corrupt is the only means of becoming rich
Educational level or qualifications are worthless in the ghetto
Being imposter of prophets and preachers is now the common
Trend for surviving because government resources are far from
Our reach, this place were the naïve and boobs are fed fairytales
Church was supposed to be mind and spiritual transforming place
Its now more unethical, hypnotizing the vulnerable woman and girls
I detest living and dying in the ghetto: I will fight my way to the top

Young girl, young boy just continue to believe, continue dream
Because we all dreamt to get away from the ghetto, out of the ghetto
One day you will walk on water, yes you will fly beyond the sky
Never let the place of birth or childhood influence circle stop you
The only absolute truth is that we are all destined for greatness
Face it or fade out in fear, reality is what you create and believe it to be
I was born a ghetto and there is no way MY sons with grow up in the ghetto
I dislike living and dying in the ghetto: I will fight my way to the top

Premium Member Heart Contractions

Heart contractions

Non-event enlarged
by thought forms that charged,
enmeshed feeble mind,
in it’s fiery bind.

Our choice to indulge,
caused an ugly bulge
to thus manifest,
at ego’s behest.

Heart brooks no distance,
ending resistance,
by soul’s choiceless choice,
to echo love’s voice.

Poised in the void

Voids within our form,
source of joy’s bliss swarm ~
silence consumes din,
each time we begin.

Our triadic heart
is where we best start,
to hold still focus,
along love’s locus.

What’s here always was,
effect but not cause,
borne of choiceless choice,
echoes of our voice.

Plunge into the source ~
love’s our sole resource,
both self-existent
and luminescent.

Suffering In Silence

The sun had been courteously shining,
But disappeared progressively.
The clouds became dark and rushing;
I heard several thunderous thunders.

Small and scattered drops of rain started falling.
Then, it started raining and pouring;
With no umbrella, I compacted my paces.
I was critically soaked but paddled forward.

I became like a homeless dog in a desert,
Roaming around with no company;
I was devastated, completely desperate
On a foreign land, like in a mangrove.

No one to talk to, except my inner person
That called for death, but it never came.
I cried, I moaned and sniffled over and over.
My small heart was quickly pumping.

All my tears were wiped by the rain.
Choiceless, I seemed to like that shower,
Though it disturbed my journey.
In loneliness, my legs were wobbling.

I sat on a wanderer’s huge stone,
Bent my head on both my knees.
I recalled the days of good weather,
But I was optimistic to get dry someday.

Poem by Mugisho N Theophile.

The Lamest Legend

Because of what society has said
For the reason that there is no because
In light of what once was problematic
The fairness tragic. The drunkard sober.
The numberless inmate dares to say, "free".
A diseased harlot weakness fails to see
One careless mistake is done purposeful
Love nervousness makes vertically challenged
Words inside of meanings inside of words
Pain felt without the ouch that screamed out.

Balanced envy towards choiceless goal setting
And the dizziness that balance becomes

For staying out of trouble in trouble
And believing that prison respects that

A step back from what Kharma creates for
Then to observe why you reap what you sew

Famous infamy. Famous heartlessness.
Blameless bigotry. Blame that's targetless.
Speechless verbatim that speaks out of tune
The wackest reason brings the deepest truth...

It's Funny

It's funny,
when we are asked questions and we don't seem to get it. we end up only to find out that the
answer lies within the alphabet of A-Z.

It's funny,
how often we wonder how much is in our bank account or how much you dream of owing
only to descover the answer is within the figure range.

It's funny,
how easy it is to make choices when it comes to the things we want, be it material or non
material but we find it pretty difficult choosing an answer to an objective question.

It's funny,
how time flies when we bother ourselves asking ourselves when this year would end only to
look back and smile that it was just yesterday.

It's funny,
how our choices vary with age forgetting the fact that when it gets to an age, we become
choiceless and we take things the way it is either good or bad.

It's funny,
how people learn. shared self experience sounds crappy but learning the hard way is a
better option.

It's funny,
how this is funny that someone greatly concerned funnily wrote this unfunny talk in a
humurous way. YIKES!!!

P.S Don't forget the lesson with the humor... thats if you think its funny.lOl !!!

Produce

Sways painting upward with others
like brothers and sisters they are
more of a family grown close.

This time of year breeds strength of closeness
Skinless noiseless and breathless they move

Absent of belief in choice and sight
Unable to self feed sleep or walk
Still together their bond won't self break

As human bonds are accustomed to
As flesh needs of that which is rooted

Bearing fruit delightful smells and air
Stepped on and still standing through it all
Leans left, lean right then sways pointing upward

And what do they believe in or see?
And how do they agree sin or bleed?

This is the time of year growth begins
sinless, choiceless and threatless they move
If only families were plants...

The Journey of My Land

I know all,
Even when I was not born;
My teacher told me more,
On the journey of my Land

First day of October,
Yes! My teacher said it's 1960;
Till then,
We were not matured to own our land.

Our nobles raised a beacon of hope,
Shinning with power of justice;
The white were choiceless,
Only to allow us to bear our name.

The kaakis came in 66,
Against the bridge connecting two sides,
Many bloods soaked the ground,
On 'I want to lead'.

'Ali must go!"
Was the raised fist of 78
As 50kobo increment of tuition fee
Came to turn the sky to earth.

Like a bolt of lightning,
79 came suddenly,
Giving power to a pacifist,
But left swiftly to martials

The ho-o-o-o-ho-o of ANTI- SAP,
Covered the world in 89;
Our income could not save us,
We were in cancer cell.

We totally accepted
We were in a sinking ship,
When our figure was manipulated in 93,
Our choice was denied

The snake came with mask figure,
At least we were given Democracy in 99;
But later,
It turned to rotten apple.

Do you remember 2012 removed subsidies?
It was selling #140,
While now is #630.

2017 encountered EndSARS,
Hence, talent were truncated,
Like a story left unfinished
Until it's off in 2020.

Although I was a boy,
When I could not identify the wrong and right;
My teacher told me,
Democracy upgraded corruption.

My country is the best country,
That's in printing new notes,
See how 2023 notes
Have circulated before June.

I know one day,
October 1st will see our pain;
Its flag will fly with joy
And the pledge will go with pride.

Letting Go

The practice of letting go
Leads to letting go
Of all things -
Let go now -
It’s all going to go, anyhow,
So let it go.

If you continue letting go,
Your mask will fall,
Revealing the original face in all,
Just remove your disguise,
It only hides the beauty inside
So let it go.

When you’ve found the secret -
Let it go -
With nowhere left to roam,
When all doubts resolve
In I don’t know,
Carry on,
Let it go.

When the found is choiceless being-
Let it go -
As metal and magnet unite as one
And you a carefree child become,
When all such wonders have been and gone,
Just carry on,
Let it go.

upon identity dropping
as the dead leaf falls off
which mindful eye notes
in that precise moment
we see who we truly are
light, awareness, peace
both vibrant and at rest
in a state of completion
needing no doing at all

as of choiceless choice
we return back to form
residual identity awakes
but now without agenda
it poses no threat to us
for with attention gentle
with wisdom assimilated
and awareness seamless
we are as we are complete

A Letter To Pain

Dear pain,
No need to ask how you are doing cos in me, a temple you have built
Solid; doors of deceit with a foundation of lies I bet you won’t be moving any time soon.
Every day I feel what it means to have you live in my state of mind, free of the capital state so sweetly desired.
You see, I don’t blame you dear wrenching feeling in the very fabric of my not so innocent heart for by design, I have become a co-tenant, a next door neighbor choiceless by the choices I made.
Pain, I just want to understand why you are so complex in a simple way, like a thirst in a desert! Do you ever feel the wind in those fake smiles or maybe you are too sheltered to dance to the raging storms inside of this estate we now share.
Do you wake up with an ache, a longing to feel the fragrance of hope knowing that like a wisp of smoke, hope is flown?
Tell me do you feel the scalding as the tears chase each other down the slope of cheeks writhing in agony like a serpent crushed underneath dutiful heels!
If only I knew what you are for I feel a little of what you can be! If only you won’t squeeze this precious oxygen from the tubes of my longing, leaving my very existence gasping for breath at how cruel happiness can feel
Tell me pain, are you the cancer that murders joy or a prescription to cure happiness.
Why do you share this apartment with me yet push me out through my chest, our home?
I hope you find time to answer me or perhaps move out when your rent is due.
                                                                                             Love from

                                                                                             Heart lord.

A Lovely Memory

By the side of the mountain
I stand quietly,watching from
a distance
The valley of our roaring laughter
Our used-to-be musical arena
Where the ground deemed helpless
but to dance in happiness
The roses optionless,but to bow
 in respect
The songs we sung, the rythmns we
alternated with our heroic voices
A place where we composed the verses
As the wind chipped in with Angelic choruses

The crimson sunshine glow
Embraces my melanin forehead
Triggering the composition of my mindset
Flashing back in,all the joyous moments
we shared
With no particular scene to spare
The serenity of the air we inhaled
The rythmitical melodious colabo we made
Rendering the nightingale bird choiceless
but to cloud in jealousy
Still all, abide by me like a shadow
With no significant signs of fading soon

Your looming shadow of rejoice
The echo of your vibrant smile
Still rings a bell in my heart
And this I promise you
Even in your absence
The reflection of sorrow, will know not
my existence
For happiness was our daily vocabulary
A steering wheel,it gets me going
Until the journey of two
Is achieved by one, clouded in the shadow
of the other

Subtle scents resurrected by desire,
hijacked by ego, crystallise as thought,
a symbol seeking to depict that fire,
which divine inspirations to heart brought,
attempting to cage sun rays but cannot,
with words merely pointing out to that taste,
savoured, embraced and released by soul chaste.

In silence, becoming one with life’s flow,
as the source that enlivens form of dust,
relinquishing thus ego’s need to know,
vibrance of innocence radiates trust,
as of choiceless choice doing as it must,
to reinvent creation by love’s touch,
relying not upon lower mind crutch.
