Haunted (A Collaboration W/Audrey Carey)

Every corner I turn, I see your sweet face
Its memory, like a ghost, haunts me still
I recall how you loved me, you gave me your all
I can not believe that I just let you go!
Now my heart, so heavy, my days dreary and dark
It is I whose pride I must cast aside

I must search in earnest, lay every doubt aside
And pray day comes, when again, I touch your sweet face
When days become brighter no longer to exist in the dark
I promise, on my honor to give you my all
'Til you return to me, there is no place I want to go
So right here in this time I wait for you still

Your joy, your pain, every heart beat, I'll share it all
We’ll blend as one, lay insecurities aside
Wherever you may be, my heart and I also will go
Haunted no longer by the memory of your sweet face
For now I know above all else, I love you still
In the light of your eyes I bloom, but slowly, I die in the dark

When the storms of life bring in clouds so dark
When loneliness engulfs me, clearly I see it all
In the quiet of night when all is still
I lay alone in our bed, I cast my mask aside
On your pillow I swear there’s the imprint of your sweet face
Tears flow, my pain grows, get no respite, no where to go

Every thought of you lingers and won’t let me go
Find no comfort in solitude as I sit in the dark
I pretend your laying here; I can almost touch your face
Ingratitude was what I offered, while you gave to me your all
Your love, your quiet devotion, taken for granted and cast aside
For wanton, shallow affection, now I’m nothing! I need you still

If only you could see me and I could see you still
If you would come to me now, today, or I to you, go
I’d pledge my life; my true devotion put my wanderings aside
No longer would sadness embrace me as I pace in the dark
My heart I’d give only to you, I'd forsake the many others, all!
And bask in sunlight forever, if I could only see your sweet face

In my eyes your still the light that shines in the dark
I would go anywhere for you, for you I'd give my all
Brush my foolish pride aside that once more I may see your sweet face

A Quarter Past Midnight ( a Collaboration/Audrey Carey

His thoughts drift to her:

It's a quarter past midnight and I wonder where your at
Whether wrong or right, my love has been trained for combat
I suffered frostbite when your love was so cold I couldn't adjust its thermostat
I lose my appetite when I think about how you walked over me like a doormat
Just when I think I'm moving ahead, I get a strong sense of deja vu
I awake in my bed and unconsciously reach out to you
I desperately need to move on, but you still remain in my heart
Now I'm alone and the pain is slowly tearing me apart
I pray the day will arrive and everything will be alright
But first I must survive this memory of you and me at a quarter past midnight!

Her thoughts drift to him:

It's a quarter past midnight and my thoughts, again, run to you
How we got get here, inexplicable, lost in a fog, I am too
Awake, I recall the day I walked away and the haunting image of your face
In my anger, everything about you I have tried so hard, to erase
In hindsight, your self-centeredness, was the iceberg, that caused your frostbite
Froze my heart into unforgiveness as you were always out of sight
I now pass time with friends and strangers, and the emptiness persists
At times, I feel there is no tomorrow, but somehow my foolish heart insists
Yet beyond pain, and silent desperation, I have to forget that you exist
If there will ever be a "you and me", I must survive this quarter past midnight!

The Meeting (A Collaboration/Audrey Carey)

They watch each other from across the room
An Angel on earth reborn and a Fallen Star
They both know that look well, strong attraction and they’re hypnotized!
Under that spell, a sexual high, in their minds’ eye fantasize….

Fallen Star:
Damn, she looks delicious in that dress!
Looks like a Dolce Gabbana and she’s wearing it with such finesse!

The Angel:
Hmm, who is he, I wonder? And what’s with the intense stare?
Probably freaky, too. Seems cool.. His looks, the clothes.. O, I really don’t care

Fallen Star:
I wonder if I should walk up and ask her name?
I can tell by her stare, she may be feeling the same.

The Angel:
I like his swagger. But, so help me if this is just a show, I’ll give him a scare
I’ll lay one on him, and the amateur will disappear!

Fallen Star:
Wow, just the way she licks her lips, I’m already tongue-tied
And those voluptuous hips have me standing google-eyed!

The Angel:
So, it looks like a contest. Who’ll be the first to look away?
I’m up to the challenge, ‘cause I love to play

Fallen Star:
She can probably hear my heart pounding! Like a drum beating in my chest!
The image of perfect art, these other women are no contest!

The Angel:
It's hot in here. Or is it just me? And what’s with this jittery feeling? Please!
What's this? Well, this napkin will do. Just can’t look away. How I love to tease!

Fallen Star:
May as well down this drink, walk over and say, “hey”
Wow, did she just give me a wink? This makes my day!

The crowd seems to part, and they stand face to face, two racing hearts beating
He takes the Angel’s hand, time to explore; he leads her to the dance floor…..

M	y best friend is the one who brings out the best in me!
Y	esterday, I was in the dark, now I see things more clearly!

D	elighted in the comfort that only you seem to provide
E	agerly, I bask in your presence allowing you to guide
A	lways encouraging, lifting so high
R	eaching for my goals as time goes by
E	asy to talk to everything we share
S	unshine or rain, I will still care
T	oday into forever, my dearest friend you will be

F	aithful and true is one dear friend like you!
R	eady to lend a hand in the good things I do
I	nch by inch, you’ve torn down the walls
E	njoying encounters when hearts call
N	ow and again, there’s a collision of wills,
D	enying you would be to deny myself, still

Premium Member Brian Emil Carey

Brian Emil, my Brother,
Tall, lean and handsome with
Beautiful almond-shaped eyes,
Always wearing a perfect smile
You never hurt a fly
My protector, my friend
Mama’s handy man
At such a young age
What special gifts you possessed
From fixing radios and ovens
Pianos and furniture
Every thing that broke you mended
And handled with such care
I only knew you eight years of
The fourteen you spent here on earth
Sweet memories of you live abundant
In my heart after all this time
I remember you just as you were
I love you Brian, I always will

To my Brother Brian (RIP)-went home in many years ago.

Your Sunshine (A Collaboration W/Audrey Carey)

Time tends to stand still when we come together
Soft kisses break my will, and I float light as a feather
Pretty brown eyes have me high, making my insides feel funny
It’s paradise! You see it in my eyes-you taste like honey!
Your manicured hands touch my face sending chills down my spine
A tingling sensation as we embrace surrounds me in your sunshine!

Time tends to stand still as we lean into one another
Imaginings run wild; and emotions overflow even further
Your strong hands hold me tenderly in our embrace
Intense brown eyes, into my soul, lovingly gaze
I’m trembling; loneliness is dispelled in the moment and time
Unwrapped, I’m immersed in your sunshine!
