Best Lovefriend Poems

My Friend Lynette...

My friend Lynette....
As we face tomorrow, let us live each day like it's our last.
Along the way you may experience sorrow, but that too will pass!
My friend Lynette...
Heartache is like pulling a tooth, it can make you cry.
But love is the ultimate truth and all else is a lie!
My friend Lynette...
Your burdens I will bare, and comfort you in my arms.
I'll protect you I swear, and shelter you from all harm.
My friend Lynette...
My advice I freely give, for I've been-there-done-that.
Though I've faced death, I live! And past struggles have trained me for combat!
My friend Lynette...
If you need someone to talk too, you can always count on me.
My word is true and no matter what you say or do, I'm here for eternity!
My friend Lynette...
Time reveals all, and I'll be by your side till the end.
And although we stumble and fall, your honor I'll always defend!
My friend Lynette...
Let me take away your fears and that way you'll never be afraid.
If a window of opportunity appears, don't pull down the shade!
My Friend Lynette...
Just always remember this, hearts don't break, they just bend.
I'll seal this with a kiss, always and forever, your friend!

Premium Member Ode For Chris

You will never fade from my heart, dear friend
Though my words to you are now heaven sent
For eighteen years you brought joy to my life
And so many times you erased my strife

When the world outside seemed so harsh and mean
You wiped my slate clean, changed the scene
Showed me that love could exist without pain
Or sexual desires, personal gain

Together we clung as a sweet friend died
You offered love as she suffered and cried
The peace you added to her life I shared
Because I had someone who truly cared

Just wanted to make things right for others
You were my soul mate, my spiritual brother
You came to me when you learned you’d soon die
I held you so close; in my arms you cried

But it wasn’t for yourself these tears were shed
You worried for me, hanging by a thread
I watched you pass from this world to the next
In your last hours you said you felt blessed

Your faith was so strong that you had no fear
Your belief in eternal life was clear
I look to the skies now, call out your name
And in my life you will always remain

A beacon of hope that still casts its light
Your presence surrounds me, its force so bright
I’m so grateful you saw something in me
That made you my friend for eternity

Until the World Ends

It means the world to me,
To have a friend like you.
Your there for me through the smiles
and the tears too.
I feel like I’ve known you my whole life,
For you are more of a sister then a friend.
We will be there for each other,
Until the world ends.

I love having you in my life,
And I know I always will.
We’re there for each other,
Through every sorrow and thrill.
You are the best friend a girl could have,
And I’m lucky that you’re mine.
They say when two souls are meant to be,
Their hearts will aline.

Well when I first met you,
I knew we were meant to be friends.
Meant to share our experiences,
And to you, my heart extends.
All I wish for,
Is for you to always be there for me.
And when it comes to my heart,
My best friend will always hold the master key.

It means the world to me,
To have a friend like you.
Your there for me through the smiles
and the tears too.
I feel like I’ve known you my whole life,
For you are more of a sister then a friend.
We will be there for each other,
Until the world ends.

Softly I whistle from across the fence
your head like lightening lifts
in greeting as your eyes come to life
you meet me halfway and
lower your chin to my shoulder
as I throw my arms
around your neck, nestling into
your warmth and inhaling your aroma
your breath is soft and warm,
sweet smelling as hay,
in the crisp morning air.
My hands run across the vast
expanse of your broad shoulders
remembering all the times they
carried me and my problems
to the slow running river where
we’ve spent most our days
in sunshine and blissful silence
running across the grassy plains
I could feel the power in
every graceful stride
feeling safe and secure
You’re a friend who asks no questions
you willfully do my bidding and
are always there to listen
A friend like you,
is a friend indeed,
you, my faithful companion,
my steed.

Then I Saw Her --3

...such joyful company. I put my coat on and
was about to leave while still seeing my nun friend there with me when my pastor handed
me a book to read. I declined even though I knew by now that if he gave me a book to
read , I was meant to read it. Period.
But right now, I had this nun I didn’t know how to deal
with and anyway I had not finished the last book he had given me so I thanked him and
declined.
I left and as I went out and started my rig, the vision began to fade. As I drove down the hill
away from the rectory, the last I saw of her was her face with her lower lip protruding in a
make believe pout. I stopped, turned around and went back to the rectory.I rang the bell and
when my good friend the pastor answered, I told him that I thought that nun wanted me to
read the book he attempted to give me. He reached over on the table, gave it to me and we
bade each other good night. It was too dark to read the title so when I got home into the
light, I saw the title…. “ The Story of a Soul” by Sister Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower of
Jesus. She was a Carmalite nun who died in eighteen ninety seven at age twenty four who
was since canonized by the Catholic church.
I no longer can see her but know beyond a doubt she is with me and anyone else who
wants her to help bring them closer to Jesus.
This, as Holy God is my witness, is a true story, told the best way I know how. Thank you
Lord. And thank you our friend Therese,... the little flower of Jesus.

Blood is thicker than water
They say this much is true
And I guess I can attest to this
Anytime I'm around you
You are my confidant
My friend til the end
No other can dissuade
Problems that fall away like petals
You provide a comfort like no one
A shelter in a homeless life
Tears that might have been shed
If not for your love and might
There's not enough time or space to say
How much I cherish all your ways
My wonderful friend you are an angel
Simply put I love you for all of my days

Ashlyn Poem

your my friend that i love
everytime i see you
i fall more for you then you do me
you keep everything at a friend level
i want more then a friend
i care more for you then anyone else
you may think i never dream of you
you dream of your fanstays
i dream of what we could become
i want to say "i love you"
but you make me shy when i'm around you
i want you to know my feelings
you want to keep your feelings to yourself
i want you to tell me everything
but do you want me to know everything
once i think about this
i see i don't belong to you

Friend To the End.

The lies I hear.
How bad they hurt.
don’t let it show.
don’t shed a tear.
Just leave it to myself,
Never to tell aloud.
 Cant tell no one,
Left on my “hurt shelf”.
When ever I do,
I try to hide
The irresistible feelings
Whenever I cry.
Now, you have hurt me,
And don’t even care.
The way I feel,
Or how he does his hair.
He never even loved
The way I acted,
Or the way I talked.
Just the way I looked,
And the way I walked.
Your suppose to be a friend.
Not for 5 seconds,
Not for 5 minutes,
But a friend to the end.
Just a friend to the end.

Everything I Was.... Everything I Wanted To Be.....

All those times I tried to call (and you didn't answer). Now I know what you was doin'. You
was sleepin' with, creepin' with, freakin' with the girl next door (my best friend at that
hmph). You was whisperin' sweet sounds in her ears like you once did with me but its all over
now (yes very much so over).
I don't understand how things can be this way (and I never will either). All I did was treat
you with respect. Showed you everything I was and everything I wanted to be (guess you
couldn't handle that).
Take your stuff and get out of my house. (Yes Sir) I don't ever wanna see you again (never).
I hope your happy now... oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Boy I gave you everything you ever asked me for. (even that diamond you wearin' right
now). You played me dirty for my best friend (my best friend how dirty is that).
I don't understand how things can be this way (and I never will either). All I did was treat
you with respect. Showed you everything I was and everything I wanted to be (guess you
couldn't handle that.)
Boy you had it so good. I just don't understand how you could mess something like that up
(you missed your chance at a good thing).
I don't understand how things can be this way ( and I never will either). All I did was treat
you with respect. Showed you everything I was and everything I wanted to be (guess you
couldn't handle that.)

My Dearest Friend (A Collaboration With Audrey Carey)

M	y best friend is the one who brings out the best in me!
Y	esterday, I was in the dark, now I see things more clearly!

D	elighted in the comfort that only you seem to provide
E	agerly, I bask in your presence allowing you to guide
A	lways encouraging, lifting so high
R	eaching for my goals as time goes by
E	asy to talk to everything we share
S	unshine or rain, I will still care
T	oday into forever, my dearest friend you will be

F	aithful and true is one dear friend like you!
R	eady to lend a hand in the good things I do
I	nch by inch, you’ve torn down the walls
E	njoying encounters when hearts call
N	ow and again, there’s a collision of wills,
D	enying you would be to deny myself, still

I Have Drowned

Leave my hands safely, and kiss my forehead softly,
Nobody will ever see my heart again
Just like drowning, it’s beautiful, being saved is tragic
I miss drowning, drowning, falling, awakening,
Crying, laughing, hurting, drowning
Drown. The beauty isn’t in the water that pulls you under
The beauty is in the helplessness of the body
Nobody shall ever see me drown again

Spirits are friends you cannot trust,
And trust itself is no friend at all
But everybody falls into its arm because we’re drowning
Drowning is beautiful, believe me, I’ve drowned
Drowned in his eyes, his words, his laugh, his worst,
His best, his all, his nothing, his everything, his heart
Drown. Won’t you? You will, once you love
Nobody can ever see my love again

Here’s a flower to tear your heart out
To freeze the blood that flows in your veins
To penetrate your soul and laugh at you
A flower, is a friend you cannot trust,
It dies too fast, and takes its beauty along, it is selfish
So here is a flower, to leave you disappointed
To drown you in fair beauty and poison,
Drown…

Trust is no friend at all, lets drown in trust,
In love, in feelings, in curses, in hearts, in pain, in sadness
Drowning is beautiful. Believe me, I have drowned

I Wish I Could Travel Back In Time To Love You All Over Again

We’ve explored the world together just you and I
It was fun and I would love to have another try
We had good times and bad times but we still made it through
I wouldn’t change anything just as long as I was with you

You’re my wife my companion and my best friend
I wish I could travel back in time to love you all over again

Id be there when we met at the very start
To befriend you and recapture your heart
To go to all the places that we’ve been before
With you it would still be exciting and never a bore

You’re my wife my companion and my best friend
I wish I could travel back in time to love you all over again

I want to return to a now to a younger age
So we can start new right from the first page
Live laugh learn love and always be free
Wouldn’t you do the same just to be with me

You’re my wife my companion and my best friend
I wish I could travel back in time to love you all over again

When my life is over and its finally complete
I’ll be god for a chance to repeat
And if he grants me that gift because of the power he does control
I’ll once again give you all of my soul

My Written Friend

Dear Diary
I tell you everything
That sits heavy on my heart…
You take it away as if on a train or a plane
You keep my secrets and tell no one
I have so much to hide and no one to tell
You are my friend always

Dear Diary
Who else can I tell?
All the things I love,
All the things I have secretly wished and done wrong
All my hopes and dreams, fears and follies
You keep my secrets and tell no one
You are my friend always

Mishaps and Misunderstandings

"Never once had he felt so bad."
The man told his good friend
"I don't know what happened, I'm sad"
His friend thought he had seen the end

What happened then, that night before
He had been talking to someone else
But after the fact his friend made him sore
He wanted him all to himself

No bad intentions, no leading on
It's not the thing of those two
Please don't say that either was wrong
It's just uncertainty of heart and mind played through

The man told his friend after making a vow,
"I'm sorry, with ALL my heart"
"But I didn't think you wanted it now..."
"...Like you wanted it from the start"

"It's not your class or status,"
"Or the importance of your job"
"It's what you wanted for yourself and us"
"You're heart was locked when I turned the knob"

"Don't take this wrong, don't take it hard"
"I feel it's for the best"
"It's what you wanted in relationship status, to your heart no disregard"
"It's not being used nor is it a test."

Past Lost But Not Forgotten

I had a friend once,
As cute as could be.
I had a friend once,
Who fell in love with me.
We laughed and played for days on end.
The news made me sway,
As our love started to shred.
He was leaving for good.
My heart felt so lost.
He bought me a gift,
And said all was well,
Our love was for naught.
Kissing my cheek, he turned and left.
Tears filled my eyes,
Then suddenly stopped.
Reading the card,
I couldn't help but smile.
Above his name read,
"There's no good-byes if one plans to return."
I wait for the day I can see his face,
So I can finally say goodbye,
And welcome an old friend home.

-This poem is dedicated to Matthew Holstein, the first man I felt so strongly about and first
experienced heart break with. I haven't seen him again since the day he walked away from
me. I've fully moved on from that pain but I sometimes find myself wondering what he's up
to these days, five years later.
