Purple Ink Carefully Formed Letters

To my Moonbeam leaping stag,
box of miscellaneous keys two
little shelves your favorite chicken
salad with pot of Lady Grey tea.
Royal jelly honey-based receipe
all natural retorative toiletries.
Splendid Summer afternoon
strolling and chatting in the deep
wicker chair at the old country house.

Premium Member You wear sadness like pearls, carefully strung between sighs

You wear sadness like pearls, carefully strung between sighs,
in a silent elegance that surrounds your neck,
as if pain were something to be worn with pride.
They marvel at your resilience, viewing it as a spectacle,
yet they never question why suffering
must be your personal signature.
They whisper about your grace, admiring your courage,
but isn't grace just another name for endurance?
My dear, you were not meant to be a showcase of survival,
a fragile glass figurine polished by the pain of time.
Take off the pearls, let them scatter across the cold floor,
for your beauty should not be built from suffering,
but from smiles and memories that embrace your soul.

Early morn
          Two wide-set yellow eyes
            Peek through cobalt blue
              Remnants of last night's rain
Wonderful water for all the plants and animals

Across the way
Four lovely cedars or Cyprus stand
    Like sentinels guarding the road
      Lovely silvery green shines
Washed and still wet with rain

Two mockingbirds
Sing so joyfuly one to my left
The other one to my right
I wonder what they are discussing
        Responsibilities of parenthood or politics

The clouds
  Seem to be dissipating
Or the sun has risen higher or a little of both
I am wondering if there will be more rain today or will last night's shower
Be all that we get, of course, we could use a little more

Soaking up
  The cool, damp, quiet
The small amount of the morn that I can enjoy
      Out on the porch
         Each second so precious

Close my eyes
   Listen carefully
     Perhaps I can catch
An elusive susurrus of nature to carry through the day
Filled with positive emotions, help me make it God

NEW

    Hush my little child
    No more tears
    Your mother and father
    will be your guide
    Beautiful as an angel
    Fragile as glass
    Like a little bird
    that will learn to fly
    Sleep now my child
    Dream about tomorrow
Angels of the night cradles you
On the path to the dream of paradise
there is no fear of the dark
    Small Steps Walks Carefully
    Tomorrow is a new day
    together we will be
Dear child one day you will be brave

    OLD

    An old man
He is more than 80 years
    Alone - His wife's death
Sitting in his chair - has difficulty walking
    Small Steps Walks Carefully
The phone marks with red tape on number one
Number one is his daughter's number
    He remember that
Diapers Size X-Large, he sits in his chair
Evening comes - the old man is tired
He is not afraid of the dark
    But loneliness is painful
    Small Steps Walks Carefully
    He has his dreams
Wakes up in the middle of the night
and look at the stars and the moon
    Tomorrow is a new day
    Alone

    Life ....

Choose Carefully Your Battles

Choose carefully your battles
Not everything is worth a fight
Pick what matters the most
Leave all the rest behind

Fight with your heart and your soul
Carry yourself with pride
Be fair and accept your mistakes
We are only humans,
                   not right all the time...

Be careful with the words that you say
They can hurt more than a gun
A wound in the flesh can heal
A wound in the soul,
                   not so much...

Be truthful to yourself and believe
Your actions can change the world
If not the whole world, at least
The world of the person you love

Take your days one at a time
Give yourself time to breathe
Don't be too harsh on yourself
You also deserves to heal

Care for your wounds, for your soul
Give yourself love and praise
The light that you spread in the world
Must shine brighter inside of yourself

Premium Member Drive Carefully On the Highway of Life

On the roads of life, people make their access.
If they don’t want to stop, they take the express.
People don’t see traffic lights or stop signs on the highways.
However, there are occasionally stoppages and delays.
We don’t want to waste time when we are here.
When there are no accidents, the highway is clear.
Listen to the message that we hear repeatedly.
On the highway of life, drive carefully.

Even Angels Tread Carefully

Spittle barbs and back-aimed knives
Do sometimes come my way
Resilience means I do survive
So I let critics have their say.

I really like to live my life
You may see me as quite calm
But I’ll warn you of that button
That makes me lose my charm.

Knocks and falls, I’ve had a few
I roar loudest from my knees
When my inner beast comes out,
Lock the door; and hide the keys.

It’s normally carefully hidden.
Thank God for inner peace,
My beast protects my loved ones
Do not dare to loose the leash.

As for me, it’s pretty clear
I know my life’s intent
No need to be so serious
Love myself and be content.

Only loved ones are important,
I accept, what and who I am
And you’ll know, if I do love you
I’m the one that gives a damn.

You'Ve Got To Be Carefully Bought

You’ve got to wiggle your bum
             Like a worm;
You’ve got to land those big fish
             Term to term.
You need to show them
You’ll never stand firm,
So you can be carefully bought.

You deserve to be bought--
         Take your share.
All your colleagues are bought;
           It’s quite fair.
Yes, demand what’s your due;
         Who’ll glean a clue
As long as you’re carefully bought?

You’d better grab the dough
           While you can.
You know it’s the reason you ran.
             Snag it in cash
       Mr. Government Man;
     Stash it with forethought
         Or poop hits the fan,
And your cunning might all come to naught

Now if you’re found out
      You must claim
That it’s all a political frame.
       Just brazen it out
And show no one your shame--
There’s a chance you’ll stay carefully bought.

Slowly, Carefully, Lovingly

I watched you as you
Smiled softly, strolling through the stools.
Your shirt clung to you like
The spidery fingers of love that gripped me.
Your matted hair was silky soft
And your skin felt like satin on my lips.
Your name was heavenly on my tongue and only divine
Intervention could stop me from loving you.
But I doubt that even that, would stop the infection
Slowly rushing through my veins, paralysing me,
Heart outwards.
The heat and fire and web of desire
That was woven by the spiders of passion,
Caught the flies of love.
It devoured them
Slowly,
Carefully,
Lovingly.
Like my mind seemed to drink in your presence.
Slowly,
Carefully,
Lovingly.
My eyes raked over every detail, not allowing
You to escape me. Your hands, those hands which I
Had longed to caress, touched my back softly,
And shook me from my observations as you
Had shaken my world so many months before.
You smiled gently down at me.
And then you disappeared, like a perfect dream.
Gone, before I could kiss you once again,
Slowly,
Carefully,
Lovingly.

Tread Carefully

be careful
I'm not a patient person
I wont wait forever
my heart will grow weak
from trying to hold these feelings in
be careful
you might just loose me

Listen Carefully

Sorry, can't agree with your witless views.
To me friendship demands to say drawback.
Worry, weaknesses in thought will confuse.
Be free from sadistic thoughts just to wrack.

Tell me, If I don't tell, who else will say?
You're interfering on personal space.
Agree, your actions lost trust, don't betray;
they are dependent on your gentle grace.

Don't try to control life, HE can decide,
can fix problems in life, knows each aspect
Wise guys know well, tell only HE can guide;
Your tricks won't help, HE surely will protect.

Listen carefully HE is guiding us,
fixing each of our issues, none can cuss.

The elements of the Beymorlin Sonnet are:

-written in a quatorzain made up of 3 quatrains and a couplet.
-metered, primarily iambic pentameter.
-double rhymed, rhyme scheme abab cdcd efef gg with a separate
internal rhyme in the same pattern as the end rhyme.
- The internal rhyme should occur within the first two syllables of each line.
The internal rhyme is underlined to help to see the pattern: abab, cdcd, efef, gg.
-composed with the epiphany arriving slowly after the 2nd quatrain.

My Heart Is Carefully Protected

Keeping up appearances
Is what it's been like ever since
You left me without a warning
Leaving my heart hurt and storming
Trust just faded from inside
Tears kept falling from my eyes
Faithfulness I thought you knew
Until the one day when you threw
All these good years down the drain
Just to cause me useless pain
It took a long time to find
The person who would change my mind
Asking to take it really slow
So I had a chance to know
That the words filling my head
Was something that you truly meant
When hard times tried to bring us down
We stood tough and then we found
There's nothing we can not weather
If both our hearts work together

Step Carefully

Six feet under
two steps away
from where you stand
looking into the abyss.
The only thing that makes it so?
You choose to define it as such.

Premium Member Drive Carefully

Drive not into the ditch
You can control it
Give yourself plenty of time
Be alert and watch the road
Watch out sins
Watch out for your weaknesses
Be on guard
Give yourself plenty of precaution
Restraint, self control
Give yourself power to exercise it
Go not into the abyss
The free fall, powerless situation
God will help you
Watch for the road
