Memories Of Bygone Days

O' yes, how well I remember her still
giant black oak atop big wooded hill
Those treasured days now long flown by
our free spirits flying so very high

Summer days within Nature's fine realm
majestic views that did so overwhelm
Cloudy days in the meadow far...

They slipped away
One by one
The bygone days
Of summer

Forgotten windchimes
Gently tingled
To the breezes ringing
Their last serenade

Wispy sunlight
Resisted giving way
To hurling winds
And skies darkened

Bygone Days
The sick sadistic people that torture the kid
Thinking of thoughts to fascinating in sin
Hiding behind a stature of loneliness he hates
A time warp in his chest it elates
Swaying through time with no cause or mentality
He don't want to feel like a congenital abnormality
Piercing his mind...

Bygone Days
Bygone days

Climbing trees
Paper boats
Scabby knees
Duffle coats
Pick n mix
Runny nose
Thrupenny bits
Scruffy clothes
Flying kites
Desperate Dan
Conquer fights
Tins of spam
Spots n pimples
Teachers cane
Hunting thimbles
Bronco lane
Skimming stones
Hopscotch
Nit combs
Chicken pox
Kicking cans
Running wild
Building dams
Fifties child...

Bygone Days
Written: By Tom Wright
4/3/2007

Remember the slogan
“Haskell is moving, are you pushing?

The railroad depot stands no more
In the spot it occupied for so long.
Instead in it’s space, a Homeland store,
But in my memory it doesn’t belong.

Just across the street a Janitorial supply
Where once was...

The warmth of the sun shines on my face and in doing so I glow with radiance, my long hair looks like strands of gold in a dull world, society doesn't accept me but yet I feel free as I watch the ascent of light...

A Fool Trying To Catch Bygone Days
Although Tai-Gueng-Uang’s* wife
did not abandon her husband but wanted
to avoid poverty, she, now, is so sad and agonizing
because no water poured to the ground can be recovered.

Although the people say that Tai-Gueng-Uang angled
the sun, moon, stars and clouds and winds with straight...

Premium Member I Shall Write of Bygone Days
I shall write of bygone days
Old memories, old-fashioned times
Of strange and primitive ways,
Simple tunes and easy rhymes.
When poems were read out loud
To entertain family and friends,
Prayers were said with heads bowed
To each his own business attends.
While life flowed steadily onward
And chaotic noises were eschewed,
At all...

In faded jeans and a knotted blouse
I would go out of the house
Although I loved skirts but were not allowed
It was maintained that too much of legs they showed
 Clutching a notebook n a book
 In a fancy...

Spring of Bygone Days
************************

i cry for spring of bygone days... wanton...
desires rife... procreation... in all hearts...
winter took its leave with grace... no sanction

seed cast... and set in autumn... elation...
spring back then... warm... allowing for good starts...
i cry for spring of bygone days... wanton...

the pleasure of sunlit dawns... it...

Time and Bygone Days
So far away from now
     and by chance, perhaps, somehow,
Dreams come through foggy haze
of both time and bygone days.
Younger then was our youth,
     outweighed by nought but the truth;
Hidden from future’s glare
...

Those Bygone Days - Original By Rabindranath Tagore
Do you want to forget the facts of those bygone days
We saw those days with our own eyes – there was love always

Come; please come one more time sweetheart in my heart
Let’s talk about joy and grief right from the start

We used to pick...

Bygone Days
Gone are the times when we did play
when laughter swept us through the day
when sunshine filled the world we knew
with petals wet from morning dew
with lilac trees and sagebrush brooms
and e'er the sweet honeysuckle blooms

What would I give
to relive
an hour...
