Best Brazened Poems

Equality At the Hands of Men
Man so mighty and wise
still has to define this
that another living being's life
has the same value as his

Boasted, brazened
written in stone
raised above
these highest places
where power reigns
crushing down
in white
clenched fists
gripping so tightly
to "history"
squeezing
draining the meaning
out of good...

THE CHIMNEY
The once fine air, refreshens with dust
Between the village horizon and crest
Since the sailing of a death chemical chimney.

Young green plants seedlings growing on slope
Are left to sip these carcinogenic dusts, sapling
And entwined between vague horror.

A river source, from Stone Age
Which flows across...

When the Wildfire Burned
The ground was crow-black
as the ashes took wing in the breeze,
flowing in hot breath across a
grief stricken earth.
Charred trees, now barren of leaves,
stood leaning...drunk, like numb sticks,
ready to snap with the next lash
of wind, whipping the flames into a
brazened brawl. Oh, but no shame...

Holding Hands

The things that we say
to the hands we hold,
so gentle and soft
or brazened and bold,
without saying words
we speak to the heart,
words that need voices
when hands are apart.

In friendship and love,
in joy or in pain
enduring of time
and seasons of change.
Without using words
what else could you...

In her brazened left hand she holds the tablet year
of her shore’s liberty;
And a raised right lights the weary way to the land
 of the brave and free;
But today, blind...

Evil Were the Flying Angels
Tears would well her eyes, if there were any left.
Pray there’s none as one drop would flood the world.
One, two, three, four and many more, she lost them all.
There remained is her loin no more pain to bring out a cry.
Marred body, disfigured figure,...

Premium Member That One of a Kind Friend
Brilliant colors like brazened eyes
They tease and temp
Just as starlight that shines
They caused me to perk
To look afar in dark of night.

One and only one light -
I saw many diamond sparks twinkled.

From comfort spot, I rose again to look
And as I looked within,...

Day-248 “Winter’s Wrath”
From out of the north
The cold winds blew
Hell’s inferno turned blistery cold
The Devil himself all
Bundled in ice coated steel;
His snarly, crackling laughter
Piercing the barren air.

His staff, a brazened fork,
Pierced all who ventured out
Searing holes in sockless shoes.
His razor sharp eyes
Turned...

Impressionistic Eve
Strong blocks of color
display the brazened buildings
by the peaceful canal,
where yellow brushstrokes
illustrate their tranquil reflections.

Dark flecks of paint grace the bridge,
depicting blurred images of people
on a quiet romantic eve.

While the centered spire kisses
the ardent Amsterdam sky.
As a glorious Holland day,
comes to a...

Testing the Edge
TESTING THE EDGE

unsheathed razorsharp
doubledged crimsonbled
dark holes feed blue moles
underneath dirt they skirt
claws braced throats cursed

testing the edge

in mythical maddening moments
Unicorns stab their Mermaids
laying their own sea beds of
shameful ancient slaughter

testing the edge

bloodbeating brainscreaming
red smoldering screens
blindfolded shielded against
past discretions obscene
unseen mock reproductions
artificial redraged dreams
double edged...

Punch raised his bare fists high into the midnight sky
reached for the stars and was struck down by a comet
Knuckle busted on impact he licked his harsh wounds
Always one to wear his heart on his tongue he salivated
as the mix of metallic blood and spittle...

Train For Goliath
Six cubits and a span high from Gath
Bronze brazened head, legs and arm-rest
Jacket plates heavier than heavyweight
A spear standing firmly like a free pillar

He stands fiercely between now and there
His breath blows strong shivers through each spine
His words makes bones rattle and faces hide.
He spits...

On a Mission
I fell down to the bottom of every single Sea not just once but twice.
I scrambled onto my feet and fell all over myself time and time again
I was up and then went down until I felt this tingly breezy needy wind.
I stood up...
