Best Blurt Poems

Premium Member An interesting party we have going here

The comments we like for dessert
Are iambs that writers here blurt
But eating foul crunch
That slaughtered lambs munch
Tastes toxic like trumped-up bad dirt

Premium Member Anger- POTD

‘Anger is one letter short of danger.’
Excess of it, our life can endanger.
Anger when grown into aggression and violence,
Works in vicious ways and is a great malaise
It fosters hatred and ruptures many hearts,
Angry words can wound and pierce like darts.

But Anger becomes a sublime emotion,
If we know how to handle it without explosion.
It becomes sometimes so constructive,
Quashing the fallacy that anger at all costs is disruptive.
Many a time it has proved so positive.
And sometimes it turns very productive.
When anger is turned against situations
And not against people aiming at their degradation.

It enables us to rectify the discrepancies,
Through our resentment to change the disparities.
It fuels us with the energy to voice against injustice.
Bringing solutions to the voiceless in their crisis.

But never let anger consume your heart and soul.
It sure will take a mighty toll.
When anger bubbles and boils, catch the cue.
Wait a minute before the fire devours you.

As humans, we are likely to lose our temper.
But remember, to it, never surrender!
Holding a long-standing. grudge,
Is like having an unerasable smudge.
It will always leave a stain,
And lead us to irrepressible pain.

However, it is not advisable to suppress anger,
It can lead to irreparable danger.
But remember, when emotions of hatred are let loose,
There is hardly any chance for a truce.

A person under violent rage
Is like a prisoner in a cage.
Anger, more often is a negative emotion.
Landing us in violent commotion.
Anger against people steals all our energy,
But when it aims at solutions, it enhances synergy.

When angry, forgetting all decorum, one may shout.
Don’t let your resentment thoughtlessly blurt out.
Never let the tongue make a tempestuous tirade.
Tackle this tiny tab of tissue and tame its blade!

Pen Meet Paper

What in the ink whorl is papièr churl going on?

Ill quill vapors are trying to victimize me,
vex prose don’t belong
Word saber player haters trying to stick it to me,
throwing cursive stones
Their coarse paper tone is so digital angry

Blog blots got their writes all wrong
Sore spots ... ink stains
Rotted crease stroke brains
always wanna bring paper cut pain

Plenty briquettes blurt-y wanna dance dirty,
a-many ugly exchanges ain’t squid spit purty

If coal paper meet a diamond pen,
Crush Groove is gonna tango win

Counterfeit clone muse
using plagiarist, copy printer tools
Blank scroll troll fools
didn’t learn Poetry Slam old school

Any lip ink unwell with a lying spiel,
gets the clean-up Truth erasure deal

Epithet tongues liquor epitaph envelopes,
gin up troublesome, scarlet letter tropes

But when this Iron Will pen
meet their forged paper
Pallbearer finger caper
gonna press an eulogy send

Writ smack weakies think they’re grit summon strong!

Premium Member Feelings About My Food

Carrots for breakfast, carrots for lunch, Carrots for dinner, crunch, baby, crunch.
What are your immediate feelings about soup on a plate?
Vegetable and broccoli potato are both well worth a wait.
Don’t gag on the mushrooms,
You big ugly buffoons.
Crunch them up meticulously slowly, and good luck,
Don’t be afraid of disease, though they’re grown in the muck.

Pudding for dessert,
Who would, you blurt.
Oh, sorry, I mean, what’s that you say?
You could eat pudding any ole’ day?
Enjoy your leisurely dine,
And eat your pudding refined.
Chocolate, caramel and pistachio.
They are all stirred up warmly nice and slow.

Delicious delicacies on paper is a poet’s go-to write,
Everyone loves to think about taking an enormously tasty bite.
Spaghetti, pizza, meat loaf too.
All main dishes for me and you.
Hamburger, egg salad, smeary and good.
I’d eat it all up and be completely satisfied if I could.

Premium Member The Power of Language

Have you ever given thought on how language impacts you,
good or bad it all depends on the words you ruminate & chew
be careful what you choose to expel when your mouth spews
for it can either bless someone or wound, bet you never knew

that one can learn to ponder words and usher without blurt
do not speak on angry terms for all it does is bring more hurt
when the sun go down, tuck away hostility and don't be curt
make sure you care enough not to pill, rampage, or blurt

words can be a sanctuary to go to when no one seems to care
they can be a respite from that cruel world, your Lancelot dare
don't let the light of the stars cease to shine because of a flare
be slow to roll that pearly tongue, even slower to make it blare

not everyone thinks like you, wrong and right is only a concept
so don't bully your opinions on others and make them feel inept
please don't yank words out, it would be best if they overslept
good bedside manners are essential, it cannot be windswept.

One Last Smile of Sadness

just like she's always done
with a heart and mind pricked by thorn
there she stood with her black and yellow top
And a blue jeans from a known fancy shop
A golden wristwatch and a running hairband that doesn't stop
Black shoes and a yellow hand-band
With a face white like chalk-snow
And a skin which paleness hath swallowed
Apart from her sulking paces, full flagrant happiness followed
Accompanied with shifts in mood and wilderness that shows
Causing heads to shake, and mouths to blurt, and minds to to think their humanly share
But none could notice her despair
Happiness outside, sadness inside
Because she envy all others who still have hopes of seeing their friends
And those who continue to wish happy new year
And those who shall continue to live in no fear
If only life have for her a spare...
Either a day, months, or a couple of years
Today, from her wardrobe, of what is best, dearly and most expensive she wear
Because tonight is the last of her days
And before tonight, she is going to do all in her wish
For surely today, counting her days hath end, and so is her diagnosis

Wet Blurting

Wet Blurting

80 year Ole Francisco, yes he said,
off the blinking top of his head,
A bowel fix here today!
Ya know cheese blocks you up instead,
Don’t blurt in diss-aray,

Old people drop one, an go ooooh,
Some feathers in the fluff,
Sand Goannasa drowning in the stew,
Could fill ya pants plum duff,
So listen when I say,
Cheese slab every day,
You wont be farting other stuff,
No blinking bloody blanking way!

So figure out the dose to eat,
Explosive liquid aint so neat,
Constipation on ya creeps,
Cut back on cheese today,
No explosions in the hay,
Eat cheese ya bugger, sweet,
Fun blurting hey hay hey…

Don Johnson
Hey fever don’t like cheese, tuff ticky, adapt to a cheese diet…it bloody works!

Nasty Aussies

Nasty Aussies

Nasty critters do we have
Under the Southern Cross
Deadly Funnel Web Spider
Deadly Blue ringed octopus

Box jelly fish might get you (deadly)
Great white shark eat you too (nice fella)
Our Redback spider nips a bit (burns like hot coal)
And Possums in the loo (toilet)

A Pelican will blurt on you (whitewash)
Cane toads come in the house (poison glands on back)
Sand goannas sucking eggs
Roo’s will punch you out

Pussycats they are perhaps
Paralyss tick gets you
Short arm snake attacks, gets slaps
The Shielas run off too

Follow Through

Blank sheet, taunting me
Daring the person I used to be
To blurt it out, let words flow free
But too deep into my insecurity
I have drowned, no hope for me
What happened to my pen and pad therapy

My safe place, infiltrated by doubt
Nothing from within, brave enough to come out
Generic pairings of letters seeking clout
Simple ramblings, who knows what they’re about
Any ounce of approval, no matter the amount

Rusty thoughts like the abandoned Tin Man
Cobwebbed brain needing “oil can”
Hoping out there is just one fan
Follow through, girl, you made a plan

Once I shared a long hidden secret with the one,
I thought was my friend, through and through.
But little did I think it would hit back on me
Like a boomerang, breaking my heart.
She betrayed my trust with my reputation at stake.
Within days, it became a juicy gossip,
A fodder for many to ruminate and cud.
What was ‘whispered in the ear was shouted from roof tops’!
Behind my back, many used it against me.
With them, my secret became a sharp tool.
They used it at will to cut and bruise me.
I lost my sleep and reacted brashly.
It became a wound that began festering.
I longed for a release from my pent- up wrath.
I wondered if I could glue up the broken shards,
And become whole again, my former self.
It took a long time, to come out of the resentment.
But with the passing of time, the pain began to fade
And the heart once broken slowly started to mend
Not to have a repeat, decided to set my boundaries marked.

That bitter experience taught me some vital lessons,
Which I won't ever forget in life.
My hindsight told me that I should change,
In some areas where I am most vulnerable.
Learned the hard way to be more cautious
To guard my secrets and never spill the beans!
Also not to venture to be all open before others.
Never again shall I struggle to fit in
With a loose tongue, in any company
Just to entertain others with frivolous talks!
I am also careful not to rashly blurt out my feelings.
How I wish to become more prudent and discerning
In choosing friends and trusting them!
I also resolve to always keep my calm,
Even when I know my words are misinterpreted.
Looking back on all that has happened in life,
I don't think I have many regrets.
All my experiences, good or bad have been signposts,
That led me to where I am and who I am today.

Still there are some things I wish I hadn’t said at all.

Premium Member My New Year Resolutions

"It is so easy to make resolutions, but to keep them is an uphill task"~ By Poet

We take new resolutions on each New Year’s Day,
But never seriously stick to them and success ebbs away.

I am no exception and like many, I must sincerely admit
That I may break my resolutions, but will never feel guilty a bit

First of all, I won’t make resolves that would hamper my day.
In most things, I wish to have my own personal way.

But to good propositions I am open and never shall be deaf.
As all wish, when the year ends, I want to turn over a new leaf.

With novel schemes, I don’t want to be an exponent,
But I will not sit back like a couch potato and be my own opponent.

When someone provokes me with words and actions rude,
I wish to stay calm, but excuse me if I blurt out a little crude.

I will try to do as much as I can, for time ticks away,
Won't wait for the last minute, which I feel is the right way.

Try to adapt to surroundings and move as quick as a wren.
Ramble through my garden and enjoy flowers now and then.

Spend more time with nature watching little objects and scenes.
Wander into meadows to get lost in the charm of sprawling greens.

Carry a walking stick, that at my age, even a small fall
Can break my brittle bones and into serious damage it can haul.

Though I don’t hope to be a body builder at my age
Will exercise daily, not with hopes of retracing my steps to teenage.

Once I was in good shape and had an hour glass figure
Though can't retain it, careful, from the mirror not to have a scare

Now with so much said, don’t ask me If I could keep my resolutions live
At the end of the year, if I am fortunate to stay sane and alive!

Teased: A

Aggravated because I was a vulnerable target to your ever-teasing jokes, quirks and games...a victim to taking things too serious and getting my mind hyped up about the things you say and do! I took things to the next level it seemed...take hold of this oath of odiumless pathways of peace, prosperity and chaotic commotion all packed-up in one box, so use your 7 senses outside of the box - I am changing by the hour and I was sweet as a tangerine, but now I'm as sour as a lemon-lime...breathe into me, sea sky of lullabies and harmonies in unison...embrace the truth of handsome hideous me...sprinkle salt and pepper upon my distasteful flavor by your ripened words of rigorous radiance (illumination that gives someone an epiphany)...enlighten me by your thunderous lightning in the dead of night and caress me with hugs and kisses of dusk dawns , for I will adore you unconditionally and for eternity and beyond...I love you infinity, so don't blurt me around in the audience as if you're the notorious nitwit (comedian), laughing hard enough by his too-desperate jokes to the pony when his sides hurt in front of the crowd of what's-happening and confusion exchanged momentarily ...temporarily... Hardly...

Premium Member Hat Flirt

My Hat you will see, when you are looking at me
You will be enchanted and intrigued by this Mystery
My light brown eyes, will draw you in
They're full of passion, lust, and sin
You will surrender all within
I will flirt with my hat, watch out that's just that

I am watching you, but what can you do
I like what I see, there is no denying me
I am fabulous, glamorous and sexy
When I flirt, mine you will soon be

If you touch my arm, I will touch your tie
If you touch my hair, I'll see you're not shy
If you touch my hand I will pull your shirt
keep your pride and I keep my skirt
Any man wanna be my dessert
It's time to blurt, in my hat I will flirt

Never, ever, ever want to hurt, but in my hat I will flirt
I will smile and flirt with them all,
ladies please keep your man off my wall,
especially if he’s tall
Life is so short relax and chill out a while
Just love to flirt while having style

Let's enjoy simple and playful banter
It never takes away from the class or glamour
Too classy to be any man's dirt, but in my hat I will flirt
Alert!!! Alert!!! Alert!!! In my Hat, I will flirt!!!

Rules To Live By

No matter what happens or what may go wrong
The point is to remain tough and to stay strong.

Life isn't easy. There are lessons you need to learn.
Everything will work out for the best. Just wait your turn.

Friends will come and go. True ones stick around.
They help you when in need and when you're feeling down.

It pays to be the quiet one but always stick your ground.
Don't let anyone disrespect you or you will forever be pushed around.

Love isn't everything because most of the time it is lust.
If there is one thing I have learned it's be careful who you trust.

Sex may seem like everything but in a real relationship it's not.
Communication and trust...Now that's what says a lot.

Of course there needs to be attraction and some loving play.
If there is never any between you two, how do you expect the other to stay?

Choose your words wisely. Think before you blurt.
Emotions are fragile things. Feelings easily get hurt.

Never sit too close to the t.v. you might just hurt your eyes.
They will help you see the truth in the mist of all the lies.

Live your life to the fullest. Regret nothing that you do.
In the end, no matter what, your past catches up to you.

Work hard for everything. Expect nothing for free.
Don't waste your life sitting around wondering what might be.

Don't waste your time with someone if you do not trust them.
In the back of your mind you will always believe they will do it again.

While reading this or afterward you had to take a breath and sit down
Then you know something about your life has to be turned around.

Premium Member The Caregiver

The Caregiver

“Stop baby girl”, cried my daddy
be careful lest you get yourself hurt
and more often than not foolish words I would utter
and spew forth out of my mouth in one big blurt.

As a child, I saw into the heart of this daddy caregiver
when he had to paddle me with an otherwise gentle hand,
and I would see the tears that would well up in his eyes
when afterwards I was told to stand.

And momma would warn, choose your friends and close associates wisely
it was the lesson all of us would nightly be taught,
Lest you learn their ways only to find
your feet in the same snare will certainly be caught.

Oh, yes, you try your wings out to see if you can fly
before your chosen time,
only to learn hard lessons were to be gained
which brought you absolutely no peace of mind.

During our formative years these same parents with some
old and new teachers would bring wise teachings into our sheltered life,
trying to help and spare you from hurts
they had had that caused them much pain and dreadful strife.

For we have a Caregiver Whose watchful eyes
will always and ever see,
and such loving arms have then and ever
were always tenderly hold up you and me.

For you see a caregiver now and then has to take a strong stand
not giving in to his charge’s will,
knowing it is for their good and not evil
if they will not run from the correction but obey and stand still.

And, then one day it seems we see
the full picture and reason for it all,
for our God is our Ultimate Caregiver Who gave Himself
to and for us only once but totally now and for all.
