Best Blob Poems
Keep your tentacles away from me
Touching your body stings like a bee
Pardon me, for I am on the lam
Foot crushed by the shell of a clam
Pray you won’t follow me as I flee
There is no need for blades of steel.
Now, missiles and bombs do the job.
To warmongers that has appeal.
Man might someday be one big blob.
Yes. Fighting commenced long ago.
It started with Able and Cain.
Cain killed with a rock, not a bow.
Continuous envy … insane!
There were wars before 1 B. C.
The Battle of Kadesh was one.
‘Though it ended with a treaty,
Bloodshed for power had begun.
There was Alexander the Great.
His thrusting spear won many wars.
And the deaths never did abate.
Killing is what Heaven abhors.
There were Greek wars and Cretan War.
Caesar’s Invasion of Britain,
Roman Wars and the Chinese War.
Enemies they would stab or Bludgeon.
Weapons of war were of metal.
Armor did not end the bloodshed.
Back then, like now, death was brutal.
Blood bathed killing in the world … spread.
Back in the Eighteenth Century,
Freedom and brotherhood converged.
Engraved, a sword blade said boldly.
Free people are brothers … life urged.
Gone, all those years, yet, man still kills.
Freedom has brought joy to many.
Brotherhood builds a bond and thrills.
Freedom gives its joy to any.
Teach trust; then, live and love in peace.
We must encourage and applaud.
Anger and hatred has to cease.
Each of us is a child of God.
And that makes all of us brothers.
There is no need for blades of steel.
We must all love one another.
Then, peace on Earth will become real.

Inspired by the contest, the Contest:
The Swords Speak
Some people still call me, “Dot.”
Some laugh and label me, “Spot.”
Let them have a silly jest
For when they need the very best,
They’ll no longer think me weird,
But remember I am Mr. Period.
I’ve been ‘round longer than comma
Who pauses to stir up drama.
We hang out, just not as friends,
But to support alphabet blends.
To rile up comma, call him coma.
He’ll run for his diploma.
I am speck, small, dark and round.
I possess the power of sound;
I say stop, be still and breathe.
I fulfill this need for free.
Make no mistake, it is my job
To seek and maim worded blob.
Not only am I the rarity
Who gives sentences clarity;
I show my generosity
To non-profit emphasis charity
And anyone who has a need
To nurse sentences that bleed.
I feel like a worthless blob
Since I have lost my job-
Lying in bed, depressed
not bothering to get dressed.
Upon the warming of days
Has come to me a new way-
I must follow this course
All I have to do is ride my horse!
A. Green
Aaron, Karen, Sharon and Bob
All went to work at the same kind of job
They sat at their desks and typed orders all day
Not leaving themselves much time to go play
It’s turned them each into a blob.
*Read it with a Nelson Mandela voice in your head,
because that's how I wrote it.*
Blibble Blob.
Is the bible liable to libel,
it couldnt lie more,
lie after lie lay on the page and lies pour,
so is the bible liable to libel?
Lie after lie lay for the eye,
line after line the lies go by,
but why is the bible not liable to libel?
Adam and Eve were made to look bad,
forbidden fruit booted out by their dad,
I would tell you more of this bull
but I've only read the first bit,
yet I'm able to say to all
the bible's full of *hit.
So why is the bible not liable to libel,
bull for the eyeball lay in the bible,
blibble and blob will be this poems title,
bubb bye all, more sense than the bible.
