Escaping the Blob

Keep your tentacles away from me

Touching your body stings like a bee

Pardon me, for I am on the lam

Foot crushed by the shell of a clam

Pray you won’t follow me as I flee

You have described jellyfish very well in this limerick. When I saw the title, I was expecting to see something describing the Steve McQueen movie.

It sounds like you've been there. I had that happen to me one year when they all congregated in close to shore down at Manasquan, New Jersey because of the warm water currents. They were like filled up plastic bags. God, they are bizarre, truly like aliens from Saturn . I HOPE you like Nat King Cole, because YOU are about to get him...

This is really funny. I love the images of you taking flight. How fast do you swim and run? Those blobs can be very deadly at times. I bet you left lots of footprints of the sands of time trying to escape. Great job! Joseph
