Best Bellwether Poems

Bellwether Tongues Crimson Towers

Their gold rush collecting slaves as slaying children ?
Write it in a note attach to his goat: we'll call father double talk
Back beyound her future with a green light glock: cannonball camouflage
Founders, of cannibal espionage ? Twenty leagues aneath the sea divulged his silver....
Pear tree here hear riptide's constitution Big Ben's revolution ? Robinson Crusoe's, evolution.

Pen Am Expression Airplane

Welcome, all writers and riders on board,
Pen Am Expression Toss-N-Throw Jetways,
Piloting, Captain Armstrong Paperweight,
And Co-Pilot Ace Bellwether Coxswain,
Thanks flying this all-expense paid--by you!
All poet and poetess, pens ready,
The younger riders can enjoy their snacks,
Ready for take-off, all seat belts fastened,
Note that the No Smoking Ever signs on
Hi, I am your head stewardess Pam Ann,
And with Rex, our strawberry blonde steward,
Pen Am's very own Golden Retriever,
Now, for your listening pleasure, playing,
The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour
Who're the Beetles, and what is that noise? Ugh!
First, there will be numerous short-hopped flights,
Followed by enjoyable longer flights,
In flight, on the left, our own baseball field,
Junior's holding a picture of Babe Ruth,
Had the most home runs and the most strikeouts,
Was well-balanced and All-American,
Now we're passing the mall, ladies, and gents,
Ah! It's easy sailing through Big & Tall,
There might be turbulence in Wanda's World,
And a brief stop at 31 Flavors,
We'll return, but it's the height of rush hour,
The Bully Boys and Gang of Toys are here,
They have papered up and ready to throw,
First one to land at home plate wins the war!
Paper trays in their upright positions,
Whirlybirds ready for topsy-turvy's,
Captain Armstrong here, I'm ready to throw!

Mean Mien Donald Trump

Former CIA Director
John Brennan scathing headlines
Washington Post op-ed sharply
published critical accusations

muted excoriation slams
Commander in Chief
volcanic blatant pathological lying
spews like lava his American

foreign policy boilerplate brazenly
bastardizes by banditry blueprint,
balefully balkanizing beautiful bracketed
booming brady bunch brand,

bests best-buy buffer braking balanced
bastion, bolstered beloved benighted
bequeathed bicameral bipartisan bliss,
Baptizing bacchanalian buffoonish bombast,

betokening bobble-headed Bumstead,
barmy bartered bride bravado, bizarrely
brash brassiness, blindsiding behavior,
beetlebrowed bonehead, bafflingly baldfaced,

bankrupting, blithely bollixing,
bombastically belittling, badmouthing,
banally blasting, banana-boat baseless,
bearish blandishments, beastly boastful

boosterism, bellicosely boorish, bug-eyed,
bighearted, bigoted blathering breeding
blunderbuss bloopers, bewildering
bloodletting bellyache blight,

brazenly being bandying bellwether,
blitzing bourgeoisie balderdash,
balking but beaming barbaric
berserk ballyhoo backbiting,

backslapping backstabbing
blacklisting bromides,
besetting basic bestowed blooming,
Bobbitizing bedeviling beneficial
bulwark bereft badinage, ballistically ballooning
betrayal birthing bedlam.

My Old Floribunda

You may be antiquated so dormant
during seasons of inclement weather
then my champion you become rampant
when sun is high my garden bellwether,
morning dew glisten on your corolla
crisp perfect petals of vibrant claret
as summer breeze sings soothing opera
you stand proud swaying like a free spirit,
exquisite outstanding prize of the bed
now full bloom exhaling your aroma
protected by thorns exquisite shaped head
from bud to bloom you declare persona
I know old rose you won't live for ever
though you prove you can still give great pleasure.

Human Folly

The gods looked down upon the plebes
and roared a loud thunderous laugh.
Those arrogant humans never
Learn. They spend precious time flirting
Audaciously with foolishness;
They set their eyes toward heaven
And expect to achieve greatness.
By whose precious standards do they
Trust determining their greatness?
Their own supreme egotism
Suffices as their bellwether
And so therein lies their weakness
A trait exclusively human.

Psyche

The prescience
plays a bellwether role
on the path of light.

Come and share
with me the moment of truth:
victory of unknown.

You say truism
will fail one day in
fire and smoke.

Forecast For Life

So here I sit tapping away
Wondering what words to say

The worldwide news is on the telly
But it all seems rather smelly

The weather forecast is now on
I hope it sings a better song

But there is nothing I can say or do
As the weather forecast is not new

Rain and thunder will descend
Until high pressure comes again
Oh how life is much the same

I don’t know but we seem to name
Every storm that comes our way

Never mind it doesn’t matter
The weather forecast will get better

So what’s the next name of my temper
Shall I call it Barbarossa

For you and me we just need to see
That life is up and down

Like the weather changes everyday
We just need to find our way

Through life’s bellwether

Armor

Armor
By Sy Roth

Not a knight
But suited in armor nonetheless.

Right now, I am night,
Shrouded in a darkness.

They see me
Or perhaps just look at me

Hidden in shade.

A shade adorned in blue and gold
Messenger of nothing.

But what they see
Or are willing to attribute.

An attribute given meaning
Bellwether of the herd.

Language unheard in the fog
Of the tolling bells.

Can’t cipher meaning in this attention
While at attention

Doing the duty of being
Dressed in the armor

Of the general moment.

Premium Member Consequence is Calling

Can you hear consequence? Is it calling?
Will we ever turn to face the weather?
Hush little lamb; all your senseless bawling.
Blinded by our choices; a braided tether.

Striding in cadence with the bellwether.
We’ll soon have to answer; all together.
