My Old Floribunda
You may be antiquated so dormant
during seasons of inclement weather
then my champion you become rampant
when sun is high my garden bellwether,
morning dew glisten on your corolla
crisp perfect petals of vibrant claret
as summer breeze sings soothing opera
you stand proud swaying like a free spirit,
exquisite outstanding prize of the bed
now full bloom exhaling your aroma
protected by thorns exquisite shaped head
from bud to bloom you declare persona
I know old rose you won't live for ever
though you prove you can still give great pleasure.
