Best Before Christ Poems
I AM A PROUD GREEK SUNDIAL
I only tell of sunny hours historically,
And go back to when I was built,
Fifty years before Christ was born,
Have been renovated and rebuilt!
My name is Tower of the Winds,
I live in Agora, Athens Greece,
I live at the summit, on top,
Tell time and season, quite an eyepiece
Lord Elgin attempted to remove me from
Greece and take me to Britain but failed,
But I the sundial perched high above,
Stand proud as Elgin’s actions were curtailed!

When will you admit defeat.
How many
have you beguiled with
words of
honey flowing through
lips deceiving.
He has said
the child
may choose
how it confronts its demons.
Oh, Amadeus,
where are you,
Captain of the Legions of Satan?
Show yourself to me.
Come under my scrutiny.
Can I fight you
for the souls of my dear departed
in your grasp?
I weep
but can not help.
Show yourself Satan
and have me at your mercy.
I am covered
in the love of he who cast you out.
I am washed
in the fountain of waters of forgiveness.
You can never take my choice from me.
You will never understand
the precept of free will.
Without it my faith would be nothing.
I know that I need not be perfect,
but He expects my best.
His commandments are hard
but I am willing and earnest.
The law can not be altered.
From a path of despair,
compassion lifted God to holiness.
Eternity swells with pride as I strive up the
ladder toward light.
But neither God nor your master makes me
take even one step up or one step down.
If this were not so where would
be the greatness
in my action
at the completion of my journey.
I have lived the life.
He has asked me in
and I have come home.

Thinking Aloud
By: Tom Wright
1970
As a young man,
before Christ came into my life,
I had traveled to many states,
But the state that I spent the most time in,
was the state of confusion.
A mother’s lap of gentle grace.
Side table set with Gospel light.
Sans Doctor Spock, God’s brilliance.
Instilled the worth of womb and tears,
Of blood and nails, and Shepherd’s crook.
Breaking fluid, warmth, and swaddle.
Suspense of hope, faith, love and mirrors.
Reflection of mother and child.
A stable environment.
Made visible -
A star one night,
To find our way home.
Joseph couldn’t have dreamt
Of a better home -
His dreams bigger
In the hands of the Father.
Mother Mary fed the King of kings
before Christ fed the crowd
with multiplying bread and fish.
Joseph taught Jesus carpentry.
As Christ touched the wood,
Did His palms ache?
Without Joseph,
at the foot
of the crucifix,
a flood of tears;
red cheeks.
A mother’s lap of gentle grace
not forgotten -
in agony, Christ remembers
her great sacrifice.
Back in roman times I was called a stylus
I wrote messages and stories on papyrus Writing since Before Christ,
Don't matter what the time is
Even wrote for the great poets known as the vikings
I translated Roman-to-English with just hyphens
I can go back and forth on the timeline
Used by the dude who even wrote "Mein Kampf"
But before that used for maps to draw islands
I even wrote that rap and I screamed "BYE STAN!!"
I've seen everybody’s diaries, but I don't speak
I write the dreams they have seen, it's punishing...
I'm their best friend at quiet times
For poets, and rappers that write rhymes
Or artists, that compose the lights eyes
Oops I mean the end of night, it's the "sunrise"
I cry when they draw their mental picture
I miss it easy, like the ancient Egyptian scriptures
Last week I wrote a broken heartfelt letter of a boys dead sister
His tears made me smear, smudge and bitter as well
I mean i'm supposed to be emotionless, but this feels like hell
I guess literature is the only way I help
This is how I'd explain it, if someone asked how I felt
I'm literally consumed in everybody’s literacy
Different languages, but I still know their history....
I’m the victim see, every word written composes verbal imagery
Even carved Mozarts spirit in every symphony
I take everyones thoughts and write it down lyrically
Have you solved my mystery? I need some sympathy
One second i’m drawing so skillfully, then destroying paper so viciously
So if you’re crazy just like me, take my spot and fight off this infantry
Then you will see, all these sad letters of these casualties
Of when France defended against the great Italy
I’ll riddle more, I was even there when the bible was born
I was even used for the art of the Tribal of course
I even wrote of the tale of the Trojan horse
I even seen the great GRA fight
GRA meaning arts and culture
I’m running out of graphite.

It was the night before his birth
There was famine, drought and dearth
People waited meek and mild
For the birth of that special child
All prayed, heads bowed near their beds
Doom is around, they all said
Only his coming can pave the way
For them to on this hollow earth stay
Almighty watched from high above
And sent his favourite Son of love
And with lightning the news of his birth came
A race saved by his very name

Oh, ancient Greece,
How much you have filled my soul.
The aesthetics of your kind,
Are more than satisfied
By your beautiful eyes.
The epics of grace,
Odysseus and Helen’s sublime face.
The war between two cities,
And a tale of returning to beauty.
The dialectic of Socrates trial,
The Christ before Christ on clouds much higher.
The dialogues devoted to supreme justice,
By Plato’s divine universals.
Aristotle’s poetics devoted to the epics,
And particulars brought by the golden ethical’s.
Sappho and her poetry,
Herodotus and a tale of histories.
The land of marble devoted to democracy,
The Spartan grandeur and Athenian cultured society.
The Oedipus complex brought to Sophocles.
Vengeful acts by Media for adultery.
I sing joy to all the tragedies,
Aeschylus and the dance of the Eumenides.
The Minoan society and the island of Crete,
Greek culture and so much to keep.
Athena the bright eyed goddess of wisdom,
Came of Zeus, our lord of Jupiter.
Juno and her rivals in the kingdom,
Brought us tales of jealousy for the future.
The pre-Socratics of philosophy,
Thales, Heracleitus, and Anaximenes.
The golden verses of Pythagoras,
And the sophist named Protagoras.
Aristotle’s pupil brought grandeur to the dream,
Alexander the great extended the means.
The logic, the literature, and the home of philosophy,
Mythology, and the tragedies, histories of epic poetry.
The things that have been and will always be,
I will always remember the glory that was Greece.
If that pagan philosopher,
who lived before Christ,
said that Humans are moral beings,
because they have freedom to choose,
instead of saying,
that the man is a political being,
we would not have
so many wars and atrocities
for politics is contained in morality,
but morality is not contained in politics
as throwing atomic bombs demonstrates.
We would not have
that many divisions of Christ Church.
We would have one code of ethics,
as pagans under Hammurabi demonstrated.
We would not say that Native Americans
do not have souls and would not annihilate them.
We would not throw atomic bombs
on sleeping women and children.
In our litany of wrongs committed,
including abortions.
Phoenicians would still have been living
in the land of Canaan and write
chronicles in the alphabet which they discovered.
The Flood of Destruction
" 5 The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the LORD said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.” Gen 6:5-8 NIV
Whilst Noah built the famous Ark,
He warned the people of God’s judgment.
Their period of God’s grace
Came to its internment.
The Ark offered refuge and safety
From the coming destruction from water,
But only Noah’s family
Were saved by heaven’s Protector.
God always offers grace to man,
But that time of grace comes to and end.
Judgment and its door of mercy closes
Even before Christ descends.
The three angels’ messages of Revelation
Clearly tell us how.
Destruction of those who falsely worship
And to the last days’ image bow.
False worship is the reason
That every soul will be tested.
Seasons of grace
For a time God’s always invested.
Similar to the days of Noah
And that great Flood of old,
But this earth will be destroyed by fire;
A new and perfect world to unfold.
The Flood was a cleansing of the earth;
From sin and its evil intent.
The fire will cleanse just the same,
When by God to earth is sent.
The righteous will be in the New Jerusalem,
Safe from Satan and his throng.
Although they’ll attempt destruction,
The saints are protected,
Singing the New Jerusalem’s victory song.

There once was a young farmer called Lee,
Who was digging up coins round a tree.
He was sure they were golden
And were awfully olden:
They were dated a thousand BC…
BC : Before Christ
Take time in due consideration
of all that fills your mind
to look intently inside that matter
fully looking for much there to find
Live by high and lofty principles
bowing to God's perfect holy will
bringing everything before Christ alone
submit in reverence stand forever still
Make your standard equally God like
be as Jesus was here on earth
holding forth scriptural truth to the letter
displaying fruit born from new birth
Take every thought under Christ's word
make sure your obedience truly in line
with that divine inerrant eternal truth
holding it captive to God's ink filled sign
So imprison your every thought
capture it under the sovereign hand
righteous it must be altogether
make it pleasing for heaven's land
('Take every thought captive to obey Christ' 2 Corinthians 10: 5b)
There once was a much-desired piece of real estate nearby the estate of a king.
The property was coveted by the king and owned by a subject in his domain.
The king offered the above mentioned landowner a fair price, but he promptly refused to sell.
The use of eminent domain laws is said to have originated in the early 1700’s;
but this story took place hundreds of years before Christ. It refers to an evil king of a Middle Eastern country.
In a democratic republic, many properties are often secured by eminent domain.
In the above mentioned kingdom, the citizens also had rights to be honored.
The king was known to be evil, but even he deferred to the citizen’s property rights.
Though a king may be evil, he need not seek to do everything evil. So the king went home very sad, because he sincerely wanted that property. He said it was close to his estate, and owning it would allow him to expand his garden.
Nevertheless, it was not to be. That is, until the king’s wife got word of it.
The queen soon noticed the dejected and disappointing demeanor of the king.
Upon learning about her husband’s dilemma, the queen promptly resolved the king’s problem without further questions. The queen devised a lying and evil plot, and in short order, she had the man killed. She then confiscated his property and handed it over to her husband the king. The property owner had bravely exercised his right to sell or not sell to the king; but it cost him his life. Yes, the king had a reputation for being evil; but his wife the queen was far more evil than the king.
The exercise of our rights can be costly, and may even demand the ultimate price. However, the pain is greater, and the wounds are deeper, whether inflicted by the state government or by people, if rights are ignored. The evils of a State, whether it be a kingdom or republic, can only persist if the good people of the state do nothing. When good people are silent, the state is at great risks of doing evil. But when good people are vocal and prayerful, the state does good and serves them, because they exercise their rights. ‘The Good’ can only be realized as good people rise from their seats of apathy. Good people can only see and combat evils as they raise their heads from the sands of indifference.

Acapunctre energy,
Back about 220 before Christ,
The yellow Emperor gave his advice,
Comissioned by Emperor Houang-Ti,
Use needles to direct the energy,
Acapunct-urely,
So close your mind dismiss the word,
Use western medicine, drug-dog-bird,
The drugs won’t set you free,
More blockages you will see,
For the narrow-minded nerd,
All sickness is channel blockage freeze,
Your chakras bog down with crap and wheese,
So get your 7 chakras to flow,
Breathe in imagine it’s grow,
Rainbow colours here increase,
and will nerve meridians to turn-on go,
Get rid of all disease,
The will in charge yes please,
A healthy thought, is so!!!
If mind block you release???

The sunset is beautiful thing
About it sonnet they can sing
But this sunset is of ancient king
And his eerie persona changes everything
The golden army he would create
But to disappear long before Christ was born was his fate
The armies’ power was great
And the king governed large estate
The world war two came
Germans would kill and maim
The partisans would fight back just the same
Destroying German supply was their aim
In modern times under pines there is old unmarked grave
Of a lost partisan that fought so brave
And who his life for freedom gave
For brighter day and future for his children to save
If at war time golden army was alive
In those difficult days it would thrive
And very quickly occupiers away it would drive
Being more ferocious than hornets invading bee hive
Looking at the grave underneath pine and poplar in which wind would sing
The mother of lost soldier hears of ancient king
She would give anything
To see her son alive her heart would sing
Under the light of full moon
Singing white roses sorrowful tune
Wearing long clothes that make her look like a goon
She crosses the forest street to grave where lays her son the tribune
The ancient king would use math
To create genetic soldiers that would unleash their wrath
To destroy enemies who with him were on war path
It was combination of higher consciousness, genetics, magic and math
That what made his power so sublime
Is that he was master of time
He would use special enzyme
To generate his soldiers that did not fear the very time
But king died long ago
Before his army against his foes would go
For mother of the partisan it was a sad thing to know
Remembering it later as she stood by the grave through rain and snow
She learned about this secret during the war
If than she could have than bring the golden army to the war
It would be bizarre
Ending to the war
Somewhere in pine forest before the grave woman is sitting
For her lost son she is weeping
She is seen by someone who tries to recreate experiment of the king
But for her son is too late to do anything
