Best Band Of Gold Poems
A band of gold is all she wears--
no need for diamonds or fancy wares.
Simple, yes, but rich with grace--
for when it slipped upon her hand,
two hearts found their sacred place.

Silence so loud
I cannot hear my thoughts
Screaming prevents me from sleep
I am tired
Fading into oblivion
I cannot close my eyes
It hurts so much to remember
Once loved and desired
Consciences conflicted
Bound to one
A band of gold my jail
Call it duty or cowardice
I can never leave
Longing for another
To be loved and desired again
Understood
Satisfied
Will I ever be free from these chains?
Hope keeps me alive
I dream of escape
To be unrestricted
Love is all I need
To be without shackles
In your arms once more
Then and only then
Will the silence be silent
Yesterday I found a wedding ring,
I know that it will make someone sing,
so I will advertise,
"Ring found - not a big size"...
I hope the ad makes me sing "Cha Ching!"
This Band of Gold,
I got it when I was so young,
Still on my finger now I am old,
This Band of Gold.
This Band of Gold,
Has bound us together,
Through all kinds of weather,
This Band of Gold.
This Band of Gold,
Bringer of Laughter,
Bringer of tears,
This Band of Gold.
This Band of Gold,
Our house became a home,
Our family it would hold,
Because of this Band of Gold.

There once was a band of gold and silver
That had been placed around my finger,
But those were days long gone
And our love will forever linger.
I remember days of long ago
When we were young and free,
But now those days are gone
And you are not here with me.
I look at the photographs
Page by page, I shed a tear,
You have never left my thoughts
I think of you every year.
Just know that I loved you
You were my one and only love,
God knew what He had planned
Sending a precious gift from above.

Just a thought. Thought I'd take advantage of it. This is also dedicated to ones who have lost their soulmate.
A simple band of gold it really was nothing fancy.
Yet it never left her finger from the day he placed it there,
It was his pledge of his love for her for all eternity.
Theirs was a love unlike any others you see,
After searching for that perfect love, they found their quest complete.
They promised to love each other from that day on,
A vow that was to last a lifetime yet now it’s gone.
Separated by two worlds she’s now alone,
Left only with the dreams of the love they shared as she stands beside
The marble stone.
Slowly she moves closer and whispers,” one day soon I’ll be with you, I’m coming home.”
