A Simple Band of Gold

A simple band of gold it really was nothing fancy. Yet it never left her finger from the day he placed it there, It was his pledge of his love for her for all eternity. Theirs was a love unlike any others you see, After searching for that perfect love, they found their quest complete. They promised to love each other from that day on, A vow that was to last a lifetime yet now it’s gone. Separated by two worlds she’s now alone, Left only with the dreams of the love they shared as she stands beside The marble stone. Slowly she moves closer and whispers,” one day soon I’ll be with you, I’m coming home.”
