The story of little joe did not start out great
When we came and got him it was late
He looked like a fat little pig
He was a good little dog and did not dig
We took him home to meet the dogs
When he saw the family, he did a jog
He wanted to jump on us to be stable
That’s when sandy pushed him into a table
She barked and growled at little joe
Joe was scared and put his head low
Now they are friends after the fight
And they both sleep calmly in my bed every night
Then there is mean little cujo
She is angry at little joe
Cujo is very old and moldy
That’s why she looks like a bowl of guacamole
Joe is a sweet little dog
But not cujo not at all
One day they will be friends
And make amends
It was, I really must admit, with quite some trepidation
I braced myself and stepped up to the vacant self-serve station.
Placed my bag in readiness to save having to lift it
but a female robot voice boomed out and made me go and shift it.
After that it beeped and flashed as everything got scanned,
all items being packed away exactly as I'd planned.
Until I moved my shopping bag for another I'd be using
then 'Red Alert!' all hell broke loose,
the staff all stared, accusing.
Enough's enough- abandon ship, why let this thing unnerve me?
I'm off to find a corner shop, and let a human serve me.
Striped Naked And Balled
Striped naked and balled
our nation is gonna crawl
who can stand tall in this society fueled by greed
low morals and children starving to death
right out in the streets
think our father cannot see
walk on by
nobody listens to me
Her soul feelings for him are all balled up inside
She cannot get out the words
She does not run
Yet she can hide
Here he comes again
The man she thought she had fantasized
Yet here he is in the flesh, the man of her dreams
That man
His soul feelings for her are all twisted in a knot
He dares not speak for he might be rebuffed
He passes her gently
Keeping his feelings inside
They pass each other every day for years
Neither speaking
For they both have such fears
When a "hello" is said at last,
Eyes are rapidly averted away
Neither staying to talk
Neither staying to play
That hello which could have been the start
Was simply another barb
To each of their hearts
One finally could not tolerate it
And moved away
Without explanation
They did not pass the next day.
The birds are singing cheerfully
As the wind chimes blend in a tune
The trees are shining emerald green
Where chorus plays this afternoon
Happy sounds of spring fill the air
Soft music lifts the spirit high
The chipmunk chatter right along
Without a reason to be shy
As the flowers dance in the breeze
And the robin skip right along,
The energy flows all around
Creating a spring balled-song
