And so I see your moving mouth
Not a coherent word my ears hear uttered
I must not assume
You're apologizing for the affair
For your love I now rival
For your heart I now lust
And I think she must too lust
Lustful for those lips on your mouth
I am certain she’s my rival
Cursed words I have uttered
They did little to suspend the affair
I must not assume
I must not assume
You are not subject to lust
Lust fuels the fire of this affair
Again curses fly from my mouth
Dirty words from your lips are uttered
Into the ear of my sole rival
The war wages against my rival
I must not assume
All words between us uttered
Lacking love, losing lust
I long to hit you squarely in the mouth
I long to banish remnants of this affair
You repeatedly indulge in your affair
And spoil my rival
By kissing her demon mouth
I must not assume
It cannot be love but only lust
Evil wishes against her I have uttered
Hopeful wishes she has uttered
Longing for more than the affair
Love is blossoming from her lust
‘Til death do us part her I’ll rival
I must not assume
That you meant it when the words I love you left your mouth
From your mouth your love you've uttered
I must not assume it was not of the affair
Your mightiest rival is lust

Ignored Assumed Taken for Granted
By George W. Clever-----7 September 2020
Admittedly, there is a most important thing I take for granted
You may ask what do I mean by ‘taken for granted’?
I mean it is something undervalued
I mean it is something underappreciated
I mean it is something innately unfailingly available
Are you surprised to learn it is MY BODY?
Yes, I take the operating systems of my body for granted
Yes, I take the design and construction of my body for granted
Yes, I take the repair and maintenance of my body for granted
Never do I consider the possibility of placing value on any bodily function
No price placed on eyes that see
No price placed on lips that taste
No price on ears that hear
Do you expect me to appreciate the machinery taking my brain down the road?
When do I to appreciate the valves that stop a pee or a poop?
When do I to appreciate plumbing of arteries and veins moving blood with air for repairs?
When do I to appreciate joints, legs and arms that lift me off the ground?
Bodies are expected to be innately unfailing and always available
Teeth and stomach will always prepare food for energy
Skin will always repair itself without my assistance
Hair, finger and toe nails will always grow, even trapped in a coffin down below
UNTIL! taken by surprise when the heart stops beating
Critical systems default as arms and legs cease to move
Cells war with each other killing from within
Compelling life to halt when no fix can go in
There is only one body for me
Now more valuable than gold
No longer underappreciated,
Never again will I take it for granted
And here it comes:
A new born baby:
Born by education:
A senior of term:
A new semester!.
1) Faces whipped with loneliness
elates themselves.
Eyes laced with Joy,
Teeth embroided with happiness:
With smile inscribed therein.
1)Teeths greeting teeths,
Smiles taking picnic in contentment:
Faces starved of glowing smiles.
2) 'You shouldn't go today'
Her mother had said:
'The first day of resumption
holds unstable words and indecision.
Hence to the market 'day,
at morrow your soles shall kissed your class'.
But why wont she?
"A groom waited on his bride till wedding night. And you say he shouldn't greet her?"
2) We'll get what our souls advocates...
"Ma'm i'll go.... At 'morrow i'll stay!" she said.

They never ask us
when they raise our taxes
In a cold, lonely place, where enters night,
You stand alone and filled with fright.
You hear the snicker, a devil’s delight,
But, you’re truly not alone.
Why you’re here, you do not know
How you got here or how to go
And therefore you tremble on, just so,
Thinking of all you’ve done.
Please remember, there exists a line
Interwoven through epochs of time.
It will prevent you from your heinous crime,
So grab it, please take hold!
Help and guidance is in the knowing
Of your life, so prevalent, showing
Like slides on a wall, you are growing
To fight against this cold.
Take the hand that forever awaits you.
Though cold and lost, it won’t forsake you.
The love that waits is just so true
And for you, was always there.
Reach through darkness, light is seen.
You are only just a human being.
You really are not all that mean
We want to give you care.
Maybe now you will see your reflection
And it will move you in a different direction.
Don’t be harsh upon your inflection,
You have a beautiful soul.
Let all who wait, give you their hands.
From that place you’ll see other lands.
Then your life will surely be grand.
You have now assumed control.
They assumed she’d always stay,
they assumed she’d let it slide;
They assumed nothing would rattle her,
they assumed she had no pride;
They assumed she was flimsy,
they assumed a high tolerance,
They assumed she’d put up with it,
they assumed her patience was endless;
They assumed no skull and crossbones,
they assumed she wore a white flag;
They assumed she played their game,
They assumed they had her in the bag;
They assumed her fight was her height,
they assumed the truth all along;
They assumed just about everything,
every one of their assumptions was wrong.
Everything was on her terms,
all along she was in control;
Pride was overflowing within her,
she’d be damned if she would stay.
