Ascension

The light soaks the soul
Taken beyond physical
Earth, sky become one.

Ascension

Far beyond imaginations edge,
I hear a voice that speaks my name.
Moving to approach the ledge -
My hands are bound; my feet the same.
Crumpled in a heaving heap,
I worm my way up to the brink.
And just about to take the leap,
I pause to let my matter think.
There sounds a clap;
I've made a move;
Yet body stays on ground.
I see me as I'm floating through
Space and time and sound.
What once was chaos now is calm;
Emotions cease to be.
What once was bound with jagged rope,
Is now completely free.
I close my eyes and take deep breath;
Listen with intent.
There are no sounds or feelings now;
Only silence and regret.
Regret is brief then disappears,
My bones no longer ache.
Although I miss what went before,
I'm so at peace with fate.
This is where I'm meant to be-
I've known it all along.
My vision is so clear now,
My 'heart' beats rich and strong.
I know that I'm in heaven here,
I feel it more than see,
It flows through pores, envelopes limbs,
But looks like Earth to me.

Thoughts On Ascension Day

Spring has grown old on the brink of summer
the swallows having arrived in time have finished
restoring their nests now jump up past my window
to their home above right under the roof they love
dashing down for speeding on dancing and yelling
shooing off the clouds to make way for the sun

young once again is the world and the Green is new
lush devoid of the dust that will have gathered when
nights will be growing like the main fruit of summer
and eventually colorless blossoms will open and bless
the world with the magic of White lulling nature to sleep
till the time when light grows and starts a new Spring

The opaque mirror shows no reflection
With a silver film that allows entry
A way into another dimension
A dream world at which there is no sentry

With a silver film that allows entry
Longing for a way through the misting glass
I enter to be transported wholly
Into the dream land I go straight to pass

A way into another dimension
A powerful trip, a grand display binge
Creating a rift through time’s ascension
Space allows for imagination tinge

A dream world at which there is no sentry
No guard to make you return back empty
Dream encompasses so much and plenty
World greater than home and reality

Shafts of brilliant light
Cut through limbs and boughs of blue
Seeking solitude.

His spirit took flight

Like a snowy white dove

With the sun on its wings.

It flew toward the clouds

And disappeared

Leaving only a breath of

Wonder in its wake.

Ascension By Fire

The silent news spoke
Nothing of my grief, the fire
Came after the smoke

Children, grandchildren
Were'nt lollipops of the flames
Choking on prayers

The serpent's eyes red
Looked, and from our fortress fled
Staining just one room

With the ash of sin
Investment here of its doom
Without rain or tears

Throw the old things out
 Burnt furniture, wet clothes scarred
With water and dirt

Human life is more
Than grief can measure in loss
This, yet we endure

Carol, dear, and John
Give Candice my love's regard
We shall build again

The phoenix in us
Resist the yearning in dust
To fracture our trust

We rise, and we rise
The spark above leaping fire
Death is love disguised,

The balm of the skies
We believe and do not need
The germ in the seed.

Let old visions die
Frail vanity now disposed
Fresh faith from it grows

For in this despair
Our safety meant God is here
Life is only grace.

Ascension to Ascending

A silhouette I saw standing there,
the most beautiful to see.
I was amazed in astonishments',
as I had fallen to my knees.

My eyes were full of tears;
Making it harder for me to see
That silhouette I saw standing there was moving closer to me;
I felt my body rising as I looked up above to see?

My body was now ascending;
As I was filled with love;
I felt a presence there that I haven't felt before;
But, then, a voice had spoken as it was opening a door.

I felt a hand on my body as I looked straight up to see;
Father, Son, Holy Spirit, had chosen me;
I find myself with guidance; the Holy Spirit led the way;
Speaking in the tongues, only they to convey.

Being saved by the heavens that I have doubted would be;
I had caused too much trouble;
only trouble to have found me;
But, it was to my understanding that I was being re-defined.

If it weren't for Christ Jesus;
Then I, indeed, would have died;
Then He came to live inside of me;
Filling me more with His love.

It was right then I hadn't finished yet;
they were sending me back from the above;
To have the blood of Christ is somewhat rare;
I am blessed to have them enter me for my being dismayed.

They live within me now, Trinity living inside;
I love our Father God above; I'll love Him until I die;
I love the Holy Spirit more, living with me inside.

Thank you, Christ Jesus, for all that you are,
I love you, how you died for me, my love for you will abide.

Mountain

No sherpa, rope
Or faithful steed
In stocking feet
I do proceed

Each day I climb
Relentless slope
To rest my weary head
And hope

That once the peak
Of my desire
To elevated place
Aspire

Concludes.

No flag or
Selfie pose will take
No Instagram.
No front page stake.

Just me.
To hear the lost applause
Of decades climbing
For the cause

And when the final
Bell tolls here..
The challenge ends.
The final year.

My human vehicle
Now kaput
The mode of transport
No sock dressed foot

My rationale
I will defend
As heaven's stairs
Now, I ascend

The greatest mission
Has to start..
An expedition
Of the heart

Heaven’s Music

This music has wondrous cosmic tones
Beyond the range of all human hearing.
Sometimes as one enters the deepest sleep,
Angels may share hints of these tones
With some mortals chosen only by God.
At that true moment of holy ascension
Each soul crosses over into the light of
God’s world, and it’s that magic moment
When the souls begin hearing this music
And know their heavenly destiny’s at hand!

Pursuing the Memory of a Ghost Through the Gates of Darkened Perception: the Depths of My Ascension

Dreams crumble just like my thoughts,
At least when I think of you.
I'm left gathering myself'
My minds eye's mirror's breaking through.
Broken shards of silver glass,
Reflecting horrors of broken paths.
I've let down myself in everything I do.
And I seem to have lost myself in the process of forgetting truth.
Or at least what it used to be,
Before you fed it to the moon.
Now I'm fading with memory,
Just like shadows of you.

I'm a ghost in the night,
passing graves in pale light.
Cemeteries weep with me
echoing the requiem of an aria like the lullaby of fright.
Digging up the corpses of another dying life.
Condemned to walk in darkness,
A pallbearer weighing his own stone.
It appears i live in dust amongst mist & hollow bone.
Sleeping in a grave,
A bed I've made my own.
I turn tombs of my despair into a sepulcher's throne.
Collecting ashes of the dead longing to see the sun again.
Trapped in dirt for months,
I haven't seen the light of day in your eyes.

Winter chill drawing near,
Freezing all I fear.
The world frozen in white perfection,
My heart through the snow.

Walking through the gates i was Engulfed in a great light.
A voice said i was merely sleeping,
Dreaming everything's alright.

I saw visions of your ghost as you were leading me home...

Ascension

I’ve journeyed to the highest peaks to glimpse beauty vast below
To gaze upon the Arch of earth, still higher one must go
I looked suspended from this world, the vistas I could see,
Behind me were the sun and stars, below humanity
So far away, I clearly saw, at last to understand,
 the most wondrous sight is love within that tiny speck called man.
I wanted most to know all truth, I've seen glorious realms on high
But now alone among the stars, in this place my dreams must die.
I’ve found all that I sought back then when I was in my teens
My journeys taken me too far to evermore be seen.
Yes truth I hold such beauty pure, was love I desired so much
But to know this wisdom deep within I’ve come too far to touch.
I’ve known such noble; selfless souls, gained treasures none can buy
Suffered such pain and misery, I’ve felt an angel cry.
I went too far, forgot myself, I did not count the cost
I see also from these staggering heights my hope for love is lost.
Weep not for me, I’ve few regrets…I chose my life’s endeavor
And though my time is past you see…through my children I’m forever.

Ascension

No breath of air to ease my heart,
No reason found to be a part,
The time has come to close my eyes
As my soul goes where the raven flies.

Outstretched I feel my fingernails
Join with dark wings on feathered trails
To touch the breath that took my sighs
As my soul goes where the raven flies.

All vision seen through eyes of black
For a moment I can’t go back
My desire to reach the winter skies
As my soul goes where the raven flies.

Mantled wings lower me to ground
In darkness hearing ev’ry sound,
I’ve left behind the mortal ties
As my soul goes where the raven flies.

Ascending to the greater height
The truth found where darkness meets light
My doubting voice no more denies
As my soul goes where the raven flies.

Jesus said on the day to heaven He arose
Do not be afraid of the devil's foes
In heaven Jesus sits at God's right hand
Asking us to be witnesses of Him throughout the land
He said His Holy Spirit will guide and comfort us on our way
We will never be alone is why we celebrate Ascension Day
