Best Advantage Poems

Being Taken Advantage of No Longer

Here is some friendly advice
You don't have to pay the price
Every time there is someone
Who makes things come all undone
You are there to pick up pieces
this endless cycle never ceases
Putting you in the middle
Of some bad and awful trouble
That taking its toll on you
Its not your obligation to
Fix everyones life but yours
Thats torn apart a little more
Each and every time you see
Someone else in misery
Its on your nature to be kind
But somewhere along the line
People took advantage of
Your sweetness and caring love
Never seeing this occuring
As others were always luring
Your good nature to their greed
You have to stop and see you need
To become a little tougher
Finding some way you can buffer
This flowing of love emotion
Into a more controlled notion
Making your days a lot brighter
And your heart a little lighter

An Advantage of Old Age

An Advantage of Old Age

By Elton Camp

When you’re in the prime of life
Working to support child and wife

Others’ opinions are a valid concern
So, your faults don’t let them learn

Because you’ve got years to work
You mustn’t be known as a jerk

When you become fiscally secure
Caring what others think it’ll cure

It becomes an enormous relief
When people can’t cause grief

Your view you can freely express
And nobody else can suppress

If anyone says, “How do you dare!”
The response is, “What do I care!”

And even angrily you can shout it
There’s naught they can do about it

Premium Member Friends Take Advantage

Friends take advantage of me;
they don't plan to, but they do.
After I have been their friend for a while,
betrayal often comes with a snide smile
that places the blame squarely upon me.
Defending themselves with lies,
they cut the bonds of friendship.
The ones I loved the most hurt me the most,
shielded by trust; they took me by surprise;
for I had craved their names into my heart.
In my youth, friends were plenty,
but time slowly thinned them out.
It hurts inside when I lose an old friend,
especially when they've stolen from me,
in light of everything I've done for them.
Kindness gets repaid with scorn,
even though I've done no wrong.
They accept no blame for treating me thus
and overstepping the bounds of friendship,
they tend to sneak off without looking back.
I count my friends on one hand,
and that makes my heart so sad.

No Good Deed

Try to do good
Smile. Be nice
When asked for a favor
Don't have to think twice
I 'm charitable, generous
Believe that kindness is key
Trust good karma is cyclical
It'll come back to me
But disillusion and pain
Is all I get in return
Lies and backstabbing
Somehow tables get turned
I'm portrayed as a villain
That I am to blame
For all your misfortune
It's part of your game
You play on my sympathies
Take advantage of me
Then twist and manipulate
Rewrite history
You are the reason I can't trust a soul
Why I hide in the darkness
I'm always alone
I'm tired with hurting
Done being played
Lost faith in everyone
Always feeling betrayed
But you are the farmer
You watered this seed
No good deed goes unpunished
You did this to me

You Took Advantage Because You Could

There’s no tears left to cry,

All you did was cheat and lie,

Left me broken at the door,

My heart left ripped and tour,

You thought you broke me,

And i just couldn’t see,

How badly you beat me,

and how you abused my body,

Although time helps and heals,

I now no how it feels, to truly suffer,

At the hands of my lover,

The burden i carry to fear another,

Now I have freed myself from you,

It’s easy to see what was truly true,

I was never good enough, you made do,

I wish that i knew, or even had a clue,

All i did was love you, I’m such a fool,

You were a monster, who was so cruel,

You punished me for wanting you,

You said our love was meant to be true,

You left me shattered on the floor,

Discarded, just like a cheap whore,

Unable to face this world anymore,

Unable to find anything to live for,

Your torture was addictive,

But It was the attention i needed,

So i tried and tried to get my fix of it,

Now i see you were such a hypocrite,

My heart beated with belief in you,

I deeply desired this love so true,

The pain deep inside is still raw,

It lingers on in my every pour,

But you cannot win this war,

Ive ended it and slammed that door,

You will not scare me as you did before,

You will end up alone forever more,

You taught me so much its true,

I’m a better person because of you,

So for that i must say thank you,

Im confident you’ll get karmas due,

You stole my identity, who i was, its true,

I became a shell of the girl i once knew,

I have survived your torturous games,

And endured all your inflicted pains

I survived i am not your victim,

Cursed by your vindictive criticism,

This fight is far from being done,

However my new life has just begun.

Veg Advantage

No more fish please
give us popcorn,
it's more nourishing
good for newborns!

Give us popcorn
no more nonveg,
good for newborns
veg advantage!

No more nonveg
give us sweet mom,
veg advantage
we should transform!

Give us sweet mom
fresh green cabbage,
we should transform
nonveg to veg!

Fresh green cabbage
it's more nourishing,
nonveg to veg
no more fish please!

Premium Member Paining Yourself For Another

I have a headache, my teeth hurt, and my stress level is high.
I have chills, and my hands are cold enough to ice a lemon pie.
My neck is stiff, and my enthusiasm is uncharacteristically low.
I cannot get away from this body, no matter how far I go.
I could take a pain pill, a sleeping pill, or something similar.
There are spots in front of my eyes, and I’m feeling pain in my right himilar.
Why did I say I would take her dogs, both house, and neither of them trained?
I wish I had said no, I wish I had kept my yes mouth a little more restrained.
Is it too late to let her know? She’s bringing them here today to leave forever.
They will fit along nicely with all the other things she has left in house’s quiver.
I have her flowered couch, two captain chairs with missing parts, and a pink setee.
Why do I let this niece take such advantage of me?

Ashamed attempt to escape rejoins campaign of mass
Furtive dig below propels conspirator spasm, next next
Murders brash bouys, cranky spa champagne embrace

Her furvour ploughs halobiont plenty scape, nourished
Snapped lobster lavishly celebrates bountiful turquoise

Crill swirl sweeps dripped lips, sun baked rock decreed
Beacon mound majesty painted daily in sea gull exhalt
Coconut snow flakes sparkle on cockle clamour bleed
Wave blown eroding scales slow exhales evaporate salt

Ripe globes ground reaped glug nectar so gluttonous

Territorial Advantage

Our foes languish by our feet
For their obstinacy erased every thought of retreat
On and on they kept coming in a huge fleet
Our gallant soldiers they were ever ready to meet

Swords dangled and clanged in mid-air
These fools failed to reckon they were in the lions’ lair
Screams of hurt and pain as sharp edges caused deep wounds
Their blood oozed with every bite from our wild hounds

Now their stubbornness vanish like the fading harmattan
Their surviving cowards take to their heels and ran
Their plan for battle was archaic and vintage
Plus, we were heavily favored by territorial advantage

Advantage

Go ahead,
heres your advantage
take your chance
It never stopped you before
Go ahead,
keep coming back for more
take advantage
It never stopped you before
Haven't you seen enough of me
Haven't you taken a chance with me
why more?
I'm too sick
I'm too weak
I can't see straight
I can't think clearly
Go ahead,
take advantage of me
Heres your chance
Whats stopping you now?
I thought you liked it this way
I thought you wanted me this way
Am I too naked for you?
Am I too tied up for you?
Go ahead,
Heres your chance
It never stopped you before.

Premium Member You Took Advantage

You took advantage of me
My youth and gullibility
A medical professional held in such high esteem
Yet behind a closed door evil schemed

An older gentleman with charismatic charm
Interested, funny, reassuring, calm
Highly regarded ,recommended, well known
No fear at all of being with you alone

A bustling surgery with comings and goings
Streams of patients that just kept flowing
My appointments were always early morning
Before my work-day started transforming

It started with little things and l just wasn’t sure
My mind in turmoil as l walked out your door
Blaming myself …..this just can’t be
This man is the best in the business ….so it has to be me!

The day l knew it was definitely not right
In shock, uncomfortable, embarrassed…..l took flight
I cried so hard…l felt violated
My whole being felt desecrated

I made a call, my story pursued
Confirming my truth ,my trust and body you abused
My own questions, doubts, uncertainty l hushed
Believing instead in a man of position and trust

You did to me what you shouldn’t do
For your own pleasure .… there was no excuse
A trusting young woman you exploited and abused
You took advantage of me…..Shame, Oh shame on You!

Premium Member The 12-And-A-Half Advantage

1874….
The spectacularly lacey ferns rose up and fluffed themselves as self-appointed front-drops to the hidden cave.
Thus insuring this scene would remain a secret, secluded, unvisited spot for the next four or five hundred years, having no idea both parents had found this spot when they were his age.

2286…
A young girl with long curly hair, brown eyes, splashes of freckles, and curiosity a yard long re-discovered his Magic Cave, only she named it “Twinkle Pretty Cave.”

Neither realized that this cave in the back forty acres of their relatives’ property was always discovered by twelve and a half year olds. And especially never realizing that she would soon forget “Twinkle Pretty Cave” existed

The cave only showed itself to twelve and a half year olds, but when they turned 15 or drank their first drop of alcohol, whichever came first, they would promptly forget it, as it was a childhood place.
The cave laughed, thinking of all the twelve and a half year olds that were to keep coming, because they never stopped. They had been coming ever since she could remember. And they would just keep coming.

Take Advantage Of

Take Advantage Of

Always take advantage of a good thing
So many benefits it is sure to bring
And even if you have money to burn
On investment produces great return.

Should we act now or continue to wait
Until piles of dead branches accumulate
And later on have to horribly relent
For all of the damage done to environment.

Maybe it might have been the survey crew
Who was trying to create a great view
Which would add much and a lot to the scene
Appearance is important is what they mean.

The House Guest

You found yourself in a bind
and ask me if I would mind
You say you need a place to stay
it would only be for one day

The day turned into nights
the nights turned into days
Your entire family is here
and drama is all that I hear

No room left for my thoughts
my stomaches tied up in knots
Kids screaming they want fed
and you never put them to bed

You show up with your brood
didn't even bring your own food
I run out to the store
but you want even more

Fighting you are up until dawn
oh how you carry on and on
No offer has yet been made
I am the only one who has paid

Before it was just me
now it's me and you times three
The place is such a mess
I don't need this distress

Expenses explode once more times four
Let me show you to the door
Dysfunctional you are with your spouse
Just get your family out of my house
