An awesome allures dances amid your words.
Bearing thoughts at daybreak until hope stays life.
Carmel candy lips wait for your cupid’s arrow.
Daisy chains you saved for happily-ever-after.
Eloquent egression when depression arrives.
Fields of fresh flowers float to your creative mind.
Generously given fruit from your poet’s grapevine.
Honorable choices carry life enchantment.
If imperfection ignites, God’s forgiveness arrives.
Judgment left daily in your Savior’s strong hands.
Keeping calamities of your life in his care.
Laughter allocated when love’s timing is right.
Nice actions for others that make your soul swell.
Messages and miracles are recognizable unto you.
Omnipotent Father loves you and oversees life.
Passion of Christ helps you overcomes imperfections
Questions of self worth must bounce far away.
Remember the joys that you had some other day?
Stay strong in your hope and forgive other’s words.
Today, this poem is all about you, and your heart.
Uniquely understanding, you are a child of God.
Vicious ramblings through the mind are hurtful to you.
Words, if forgiven might alleviate bad memories.
Xanadu can be found in life’s folds and your focus.
You have much good within you, Catie, this and more.
Zealously zip past the lows in your life; happiness follows.

Altered, boisterous, confounded, disruptive, energetic, fine-tune, growing.
Hyper, inquisitive, jokesters kindling love, mystified.
Nervously obsessive, pubescences question radical substance, surprising.
Teasing, uncontrollably visiting wild, xanadu youthful zest.

The ABC’s of Morning
Awake on the dot of seven
Birds are chirping away
Coffee… as always, first order of the day,
Doggy kisses from Kea
Enjoying the peace and quiet
Fumble for my glasses to see
Garden shadows in early light
Harmony of leaves in the garden
Intricate patterns at play
Just as sunlight begins, a
Kinship of finch burst away.
Lavender dreams are fading
Mindful of duties to do
Overcoming an urge to be lazy, I
Pirouette to the bathroom to dress
Quietly, I exit the bedroom, a
Resting hubby not to disturb
Sit in the lounge with my ipad
Thankful for all of life’s gifts
Up to date with events, I
Venture to start my routine
Walking, now for health reasons, try to
Xerox this action each day
Yesterday, though, I missed it
Zealot, I’m not, you might say!

Amazingly, your eyes gleam freshness from heaven.
Before you were seen, you were resting in God's heart.
Clinging to mine, it cannot cease to overflow.
Drawing meaning into life's every crevice,
Each given breath you take awakens mine.
From the moment I first felt your ripples inside me,
God gave me a wink of a new beginning.
Hope filled blue painted ceilings and little drawers.
In a father's mind, his name would carry on.
Joy so grand became our parents' inheritance.
Kicks affirmed your livelihood nightly.
Laughs and tears were shared in placental connection.
Monitors suggested your precious health was well.
Nestled in my womb was the safest place for you.
Oranges and burger flavors reached new taste buds.
Prayerfully, we rested in the unknown outcome.
Queasiness came as contractions strengthened.
Rushes of adrenaline kept my birthing body vigorous.
Surrealism saturated our minds, studying each feature.
Thankfulness touched us like your new skin's warmth.
Unable to conceive of this mystery, opaque joy flowed.
Vast gifts were given, but that of you keeps on giving.
Wonders await each new stage we'll embrace.
Xerox copies of significance collect in your photo box.
Yesterdays accumulate practiced artistic expression.
Zealous praises stretch to heaven, for we are blessed.

The ABCs of My Poetry Soup Friend, Who Is:
Alluring and fascinating; by her beliefs I am charmed.
Beautiful with good intentions not always understood.
Cheerfully able to endure hurts: rejection, criticism, and diss-ing.
Daring, opinionated, and bold, she is willing to stand strong on her beliefs.
Excellent when it comes to the desire to constantly improve and learn.
Friendship with her has enriched my life and my understanding.
Gratefully, I am blessed because as friends, we reciprocate kindnesses.
Hot to trot? I don’t think so! She is caring and selective in matters of love.
Intelligent, endowed with many talents and intellectual assets.
Just about anytime I need a listening ear, her understanding is near.
Knowledgeable about: nutrition, Eastern healing, poetry, and much more.
Lovely to talk to on the phone…I love her cutie-pie voice.
Memorable is she because she knows how to bring a BIG SMILE to my heart.
Noble and good in the ways of truth, love, and light.
Open-minded as she listens to another soul’s views; she cares.
Passionately shares her ideas and beliefs.
Quiet when it’s time to ponder and meditate.
Resourceful and ingenious, she is a successful businesswoman.
Sweetness inside loves her family, and friends.
Terrific, she inspires me to want to loose weight…and encourages.
Understanding in matters of everlasting consequence.
Vibrant and motivating, she teaches good health.
Wise beyond her years; some times were filled with tears –
Xperienced in marshal arts, yoga, Eastern culture, and life.
Youthful at heart and capable of having lots of fun!

Seven things to grab in a hurry
My house going up in a blazing fury...
First things first,
my favourite courier bag,
then with my custom leather boots safely inside,
I surmise as quickly as ABC,
well JKLM:
I'd grab my Grandma June's
rosary,
Grandma Kathleen's
silk scarf,
Poppa Leo's
beer stein (with poppa inside),
My mother's
diary...
well maybe not
Magic Casements
my dad's high school poetry book.
Next...
One last look. My...
Pearls!
If I'm homeless,
I want to at least look good.
