 Somewhere in a strange land
An unknown heart throbs for me
Etching an amorous graffiti
On the blank walls of my mind
Where ever I am, I feel a pair of eyes
Fondly surveying and scanning me,
Speaking to me in silence
And keeps me awake in the night
I feel it all, I hear it all
Filling me with a sweet ache!

When night birds croon in the woods
And their mates answer the serenade,
When the moon begins her somnambulistic walk
And light beams percolate through pine needles,
When glow worms float in darkness
Like cruise ships over the sea,
When the opening Jasmine secretly exults
In her own exotic scent,
Sitting in my dimly lighted room
I draft this message of love
Pouring all my warmth into it
Thus emptying my love laden heart
That blazes with the fire of love
And encode it in cryptic script
To be mailed to you, my love!

Oh, it might take much time
Better it be a whispered endearment
Sent through this perfumed night breeze
That shall carry it from this end to that end

So kindly leave your window open!

Dedication to an Anonymous Poet

Brilliant, so very loving and
supportive as can any be!
Humble yet attacked and avoided?
As he knows too much classical poetry?

Yet, he's the captain of his own
poetic stars and ship!
Not here climbing the popularity tree.
Nor in contests will you find him.
No, most infrequently.

A most loving man, this poet be.
A master to learn much from, on
subjects, very deep.
I salute this poet, he knows life and has
overcome strife.

He wears a crown of poetic knowledge!
If only with such brilliance I could
pen!
Just grateful and very humbled,
To have him as my friend.

With appreciation and respect,
Panagiota Romios

Birds sing freely from fallen trees
Demolished, as a symbol of
Their power over firmly rooted
Expressions of universal rights
Inherent to all mankind

Yet, the birds sing freely
Able to disperse like water to
All who need refreshment
Many are waking up thirsty
The quenching has begun

Beware false flags blamed
On patriots, instigated by
Mentally ill patsies groomed
By gov't agencies

Do not believe these lies
True patriots only defend
And will never foment evil
Against any persons

Our power comes from a
Higher Place, present in all
Living things

All life breathes
So truth is everywhere

Victory is legion

I am anonymous

An Anonymous At My Door

How do you thank someone you never met
a person who leaves you a generous gift
without even saying a single word
How can one repay such a gift
except, with another gift,
My offering gift to you is in words
dear anonymous donor,
I offer them to you and all those who want them
in return for your kindness, my gift will be love
bringing you thoughts & words that make you feel ;
I will place them on this site that most of us call,
"Our Second Home"
Hoping I will not disappoint you mysterious donor,
while I enjoy your precious gift and give it all I got;
Thank you for thinking of me and deeming me worthy of your gift
Your generosity has touched me and made me feel appreciated
and for that I am grateful...

It's not fair to talk to you without knowing you....
It's not fair to have your voice screaming in my head without seeing you...
It's not fair to feel your words but never to feel you...
It's not fair to dream in black and white...Can't reach for any color to draw you ...
Do you feel Pleasure  torturing me ...do you enjoy it ?
Do you enjoy being so damn selfish and cruel ?
You know what I mean but you keep hiding behind your ornamented words..
Skipping away with your tricks and your wisdom....
It's not fair.....
Well life is not fair so how can I expect you to be fair ?
How can expect you to be something that only God can be , when your not a human nor  God  ?
The words I can describe you with , is selfish....cruel...hopeless....
waiting for you is like waiting rain in jun or July to fall.....It's like waiting for the eternity.....For the end of time....
I'm waiting but don't know who I'm waiting for....
I'm simply waiting for an anonymous....
You were and you will always be an anonymous....

Anonymous Friend, Thank You

Grateful for the gift,
That my heart does lift,
Someone thought of me,
And my poetry;

Thank you for your thought,
To me joy, you've brought,
May our Lord bless you
With favours anew!

Obliged am I now
To scribble and wow;
Generous and kind,
You had me in mind;

Anonymous friend,
This note I have penned
As my thanks to you,
In gratitude true.

Walk you to your class
Buy you special gifts
Give you all my love
You're my entertainment
We're friends nothing more
Even though on you I have a crush
But why do I think you feel,
I'm only anonymous?

Anonymous Hopes and Promises

I won't use your name,
because people like us,
like to sometimes,
remain anonymous.
I hope you make it till Friday,
I hope you find a place,
theres so much I could say,
how about just a couple promises,
from junkie to junkie.
I promise after Thursday ends,
Friday will begin.
I promise that you are,
definitely worth it.

I hope you make it till Friday,
I hope you find a place.
But what I hope for most for you,
I hope, for hope, for you.

I hope you do.
I really hope you do.

Premium Member A Gift From An Anonymous Angel

My heart swelled up and I shook with excitement
tears slowly trickled down my cheeks; I felt enlightened.
My mind was running in so many directions.
         Who? Why? When? Thinking of so many questions;

How long had it been there? Why hadn't I noticed?
Encouraged and inspired I got my mind focused.
I had a smile bursting with sunshine from within,
sunshine that could light up the day not giving in

No matter how dark the night tried to cease the day.
If I could reach and hug the angel, I'd say,
“Thank you for trusting me with such a gift.”
The gift brought a feeling of inspirational lift,

I never had a clue someone could be so giving.
How can I complain with a day of thanksgiving?
Still gazing with excitement with giggles and a gee wiz,
trying to imagine and wonder, who my angel is.

I heard outside on Christmas Eve
loud taps that brought me to my door.
They had so little time to leave!
And what was on our front porch floor?

I looked around at all the snow,
but there was not a soul in sight.
How swiftly they had had to go
to disappear into the night.

I reached down for a box I saw.
atop it was an envelop.
The box so big inspired my awe
and in me leapt a spark of hope.

My spouse was jobless, and that year
had been quite hard. Had someone known
of our bad luck and growing fear?
For in their gifts great love was shown.

They’d brought us money, that would pay
our bills that month and food to feed
our kids great meals on Christmas day.
God bless them for their gracious deed.

You gave my heart and soul a lift;
a secret angel sent a gift.
Who is this fine, kind poet friend,
         to me, paid membership extend?

To Premium was made the shift;
You gave my heart and soul a lift.
      Now as a poet I can grow;
         use audio, let pictures show.

I wish to thank you...him or her,
to know your name, I would prefer.
You gave my heart and soul a lift.
in this great 'soup' I'll swim and drift.

Oh, thank you, angel, very much!
   Your heartfelt gift, I now will clutch;
thru rhythmic words and meters sift.
You gave my heart and soul a lift.

My poem is fictional because I never received an anonymous gift from a
person. So I wrote how I would feel if I had received an anonymous Poetry Soup Premium Membership as a gift.

No longer does the subtle breeze
Bring relief on searing days
Hidden below the willow trees
Wherever love-thick fades
And leaves bleed
Or with the shadows on the moon’s farside
Along the dark lagoons
Of forever abandons collide
And where no one notices extremes
Swarms of wasp stings
Sluggish are the foothills furthermore
No way into the clouds
Forgotten by them
Love’s tragedy victims
Are hers to spare
The bond of love,
Amoris giver, no longer is seen there
Numb are the empty wells
Tears no longer fall
Dry are the fields
Where she lays her lowered head
Nor do the flames of affection feel
Not even the weeds sway across the fleshy
Fruits that fall for her,
She is anonymous
After all

I have stories in my heart I want to tell
Some of people in paradise and others in hell
I know all the characters in my stories well
Some perish, while some are saved by the bell
The characters are just you and me in print
Described perfectly by thousands of words on ink
They maybe imagined, made up names and identities
But they are just like us, our situations and realities
Like God running the world and carrying out his plans
I forge words and create stories with twists and turns
Where paradise gets lost and hell breaks loose
Where no one can escape the blues
I am an artist; words are my paint as I sit and sketch
The reflection of humanity’s maddening stench
Brightly captured line after line on A4 paper canvas
Like a conductor I swing my fingers and make the alphabet dance
Heartbreaks all over and death in the end
In imagination as in reality, its hard to find a friend
Every man for himself and every woman abused
Even if you are Oprah or the queen, you still get used
Words are fun to merge, into sentences to tell tales
Compressing into pages, explaining why happiness fails
Dreams shattered in a tunnel, like the princess of Wales
People spreading viruses in beds and electronic mails
Like a chef I mix words as if they are ingredients
Cooking up manuscripts that have no recipients
I compose the truth in exaggerated prose
Enough to steal Shakespeare's glory, from right under his nose
My characters may not be close to fame just yet
But they have more grit, than Romeo and Juliet
More complex than Shakespeare's Macbeth
Best laid plans, matters of life and death
An unedited anthology of human tragedies
An underground bible of life’s vanities
With chapters and passages for my eyes only
Hopefully to one day inspire and comfort the lonely
When that day comes maybe I will be famous
But for now, I am unpublished anonymous

I am consumed by my love for you
I cannot contain it anymore
I have to let you know how I feel
I have given you a card to let you know
I spent tons of time on it
So I should like to know
Do you love me Yes or No

Someone sent me an e-card about four times.. he, "It" said he spent tons of time on it. I kept thinking it was a virus waiting for me. So I never clicked on it.
