Outside, the air has grown inordinately chill.
As the winds fatten into swirling, sweeping gales,
Snow forms into heaps, structured like mounds and hill.
Silent and solitary lie the inert sleeping vales.
Winter days are growing brief and icy cold.
Mountain peaks glisten in granulated powdery frost.
Trees devoid of leaves look so fatigued and old.
The lustrous sheen of the sun is thoroughly lost
Snow lies all around like glistening folds of silk
Snowflakes spin and dance in bedimmed light
The earth looks like an upturned barrel of milk
Winter paints the land in colors of gleaming white

the light had twisted
a duress that was looming
high tide in the sea
typhoon chastises
jade water over the bow
jaded on the bridge
thunderstorms floating
level of brightness in spots
out of the azure
after ships are docked
when you foretaste a rainbow
the sunlight advent

The awaited bedimmed evening
Was foretold by the clouds rolling in,
We pelted along the herded streets
Fending the storm that was coming.
One perceived the aftermath peace
I queried the realism that was bracing,
One assured the isolated inconsequence
None retrieved the agone serenity.
The sky grew heavily with agglomerating clouds
Blusters of flames sparkled along with rapid fury,
In pain and fear, so many hands extended for a prayer
Fending the storm that was outraging.
Around them amassed the shadow of malefic wind
They turned up their white pale face,
In this hovering ambience breaking the solitude
They bade for the pacific dominance.
The courtesy was heard by their divine faiths
Pouring down the tears with biding pains
The consequence was allayed by the aftermath peace
And the sweetness aired to ease their breaths.
I wondered the realism that was uniting
Laughing, playing and dancing by the bygone bedimmed evening
That was foretold by the clouds disappearing
I still queried the peace after the storm,
why not before it?

She crushes the discolored leaves,
And drops them in the water, and stirs.
Over the fire, the water begins to heat,
And she stirs.
The bedimmed room is enveloped in its potency,
As she brings the boiling liquid to the table.
Poured into a cup, inhaled, drunk,
By the intoxicated patron.
The cup is snatched immediately,
And the pounding hearts disturb the lull.
She smirks at her unsuspecting patron.
Her eyes widen and water.
Dismayed, the patron walks out of the door,
To the sunny suffocating street.
He rushes, head-down, to his haven.
He rummages his pockets for the keys,
And finds them.
He hurries into the house, and strips.
He breathes, deeply.
He sees a decrepit man,
Crippled. Dependent. Addicted.
Could she be right?
He grips it in his hand,
And admires its beauty.
Before he had a chance,
Abrupt gunfire ends his tale.
She was right.

Beneath the glowing satellite,
a path for lovers grew.
So I set off and followed it
in hopes to find love too.
I wandered down meandrous roads
that twisted and crisscrossed,
but could not find love anywhere,
that wayward feeling, lost.
The light that once in music rose
faded and suddenly
bedimmed the tracks and hid the way,
at least it did for me.
What of the orb that's sung about
mysterious and praised,
if it can hardly shed or keep
that light for lovers raised?
Perhaps the moon drifts here and there
as broken hearts will do,
finding it hard to stay afloat
because it's lonely too.
I wonder if that mystic sphere
will light the path and when
or if in fact there really is
a way to love again.
