In the hidden whispers of midnight, bathed in the moon's silky embrace

In the hidden whispers of midnight, bathed in the moon's silky embrace,
Life unfolds as an involuntary odyssey, an arcane experiment,
A pilgrimage of the soul through the labyrinth of the tangible,
A mystical journey where the ethereal essence dances with the shadowed reality.
The spirit embarks on this voyage, traversing unseen realms,
And in this spectral wandering, true existence

The molten gold sun
on cerulean canvas
breeze borne cirrus clouds

flawless days stretching
like sun-kissed bodies - crisp white
linen cabanas

lips roughly sore from
innumerable kisses
we shimmer white hot.

Lulling rhythmic waves -
heavens extravagant taste
- on leisure sculpt days

masterpiece pleasures,
love’s instigative brushstrokes,
paint compelling joy

Days Bathed in Sunshine

 

Winter breath is its sequel
As pallid teardrops emulsify
Clearly, into ponds of dawn shining gleam
A dawn bird breaks the silence
Amid buzzing melodies
Fully flowing faith in feeler flowers.

Nature's warmth brings hues to life
Mixing shades for a kaleidoscope, 
ecstatic waltz,
luxuriant buds, luscious and enriched,
Sweet, perfumed threads of envy,
Softly whispered on a fresh breeze.

Meadows grew using earthly sources
Dreams that

bathed in the sunrise
rooted in God’s palm, the light
forbearance of fruit

Having Bathed

Having bathed, we wait 
until the sun has fled the sky,
Before we dry and dress 
to take the street.
With one last blush of light 
upon the twilight wind,
we fade into the darkness of the trees.
our path is like a wire we must walk, 
like artists stepping cautiously along
nothing sure except that, finally, 
we will meld

Before cancer woke me from my sleep,
and Jesus’ hand pulled me from the deep.

I wasn’t trying to pray a fancy prayer
I believed he’d hear simple words I’d air

Not hoping that God might be impressed
from a contrite heart my sins I confessed

Bathed In Sunshine

a fawn frolics free 'cross the meadow
    coat aglow, bathed in sunshine
  her young buck sleeps apace, never stirring
    wrapped in arms of conifers, tall pines
 
  the fawn pauses to sniff the chill forest
    sorrow's torment streams toward her heart  
 

Bathed In His Grace

There are many times
When I feel like I’m not enough
I don’t have the abilities
The will or the sincerity
To pour out on the condition
That needs my embrace
The situation that needs my touch

There are times when 
I feel like I’m just struggling
To be a little better, a little kinder
A blessing to some heart or soul
Who needs me

He took advantage of her virtuous love
and blindly forced himself against her will.
With tearful eyes she pleaded, but in vain;
engulfed by waves of lust he had his fill.
The screams were silenced; help was out of reach.
Her body lay abandoned on the beach.

bathed in the morning sunlight
is covered in dew
