Premium MemberBamboozled by a bird

Walking under a tall sycamore tree,
I heard a bird tweet, "I'm stuck. Set me free!"
So I struggled to the branch where she sat ~
but the second I got there ~ she did scat!
That's the last last time I'm gonna fall for something like that!

Bamboozled was is worth the energy and efforts for matters of

the heart? was it just an illusion? A game of hocus-pocus mislead

to believe that someone's intentions were true or was it just a

act only to be taken for a ride for fakery, infidelity, and personal

          gain. Bamboozled

Wishing upon a star my Romeo, Juliet why do you remain afar?

wanting you, needing you only to discover a mistaken belief that

you continue to elude the questions at hand causing emotional

damage, and cruel treatment. Bamboozled finally, confidence

built up within her and she rediscovered that she wasn't a victim

          but a survivor.

As much as some would disagree
Laziness is a huge part of most of us
Some pretend to make an impression
Hey look at me, I'm smart as you can see
Hopefully the viewer will be bamboozled
And be taken in by how this person looks
Fancy words he uses and how he smells
It's all part of “hey look at me”
But know what we'd rather be doing now
Laying on a beach the sun beating down
With a cool ocean breeze blowing in
Off the water... paradise?

Lulled to lie
on what appears to be
a bed of roses;
sinks into well-concealed quicksand.

Gobsmacked, Bamboozled and Confused

I was gobsmacked, bamboozled and confused
when they showed me worn out crayons never unused

for the lines they were destined to stay within
were taken as a challenge - not a whim

as the fists that clutched the colors misunderstood
the concept of the lines - “for their own good”

strayed with the exuberance of youth
opened up a crayon kissing booth

mingled the sunrise with the moon
served breakfast at the height of midnight noon

gobsmacked, bamboozled and confused
the crayons wandered happily bemused

across a barren landscape of pure snow
trailing behind them life’s rainbow

Gobsmacked, bamboozled and confused
— how to get one day back.
Imagine if one day was robbed of all its good and bad?
Perhaps a wedding, now she’s a virgin again-
he doesn’t remember the present he unwrapped last night.
Or a baby sucking its thumb back in the darkest womb -
what happened to the light?
You remember the terror of jaws chewing off your limb
but no one else knows why you won’t go for a swim.
Your first “A” lost - they still think you’re a loser
though you studied bad.
The screaming plays over and over and over again
though your parents don’t know why you’re mad.
The car you had fixed has a dent and the love
you finally won has been lost.
Gobsmacked, bamboozled,
confused as the day.
Judge Judy pounds her hammer,
your protest’s overruled.
Your afraid to make a move...will it happen again?
There’s no one to ask!

Please explain this to me…
This has me completely
and thoroughly gobsmacked
bamboozled and confused
Where do people get off
Feeling entitled
Thinking they don’t have to
Work to earn what they get
Thinking life should be easy for them
While they have absolutely
No compassion for anyone else
Quite satisfied the world
Revolves around them
And only them
Oh, now I've said too much...

Bamboozled By Trump

Bamboozled By Trump

After reading more notes and their perusal,
They all referred to Trump and his refusal;
Income information to release,
So we should call the police
Before he again all of us does bamboozle.

Googled and Bamboozled

Googled and Bamboozled

When she saw my eyes they both were googled
Causing her to be dumfounded and bamboozled
And then ended up becoming completely baffled
When off all my entire brains had been raffled.

How big of a hint do you ever have to receive?
Before belligerent mind soon starts to believe
After all the drums by many were drumming
Conclusion arrived at was Indians are coming.

Those are really the Cleveland ones that is
More prejudice baseball won't ever miss
Instead what looked like lions in a den
Turned out to be a Washington Redskin.

What to should emblems be the equivalent
And on all team uniforms is officially meant
That they sew on and put on proper display
A reference to Indian no way Jose' today.
