Am I talking to you my friend
or the younger me, in the end?
You feel that you need her,
and you know you must have her.
While I am of a different mind,
you'd say I'm insensitive and blind.
I'd say it's you blinded by love
falsely attributed to the One above.
Your life is under your control.
You don't need her to be made whole.
You say that you are sure but,
you're trapped into her orbit.
So, whatever you and I may say,
it's Newton's laws that rule the day.
Her power over you is diabolic.
Your orbit should be hyperbolic,
but you're headed for love's black hole.
You're dedicated, heart and soul.
Atoms on a ship without a rudder
try to stick like peanuts ground to butter.
You'll be torn up and rejected,
and, ultimately, will be ejected.
She'll rearrange your molecules,
but it's been done to lesser fools.

Every person has an attributes
That differentiate him from others
Some people are attributed by wisdom
Others are attributed by reason
And some people are attributed by honesty
But good morals bring together all good qualities
And you will leave an imprint
That will not disappear
Even after your departure
Hold on to your morals and you will rise.

In our soul is the light of our life, our inner being,
Our connection with Christ is through our soul,
When God relinquishes his silence to speak to us,
We have gained the power of Divine Magnetism.
It drives us to divine heights we are able to achieve.
If your heart’s attributed to feeling love its your soul.
Whatever belongs to the soul is always imperishable.
When your brain is praised for bringing words to life
It is your soul giving you spiritual enlightenment
It’s the urge to get up and try again, its divine
It is the light that is the spiritual essence
It is the love that radiates life's reason
No camera known will make it seen
Always inside us an inner glow,
Your soul is you day by day.
It’s strength from almighty God.
It's Divine Magnetism that's there.
It’s one of God's wonders, your spirited soul.

“The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog ”
~attributed to Mark Twain
The only "reels"
I watch on Facebook
are ones about animals,
mostly dogs and cats,
and the occasional horse,
and once in a while elephants,
raccoons, bear
and deer/elk/moose,
and of course, bison/buffalo,
really, just any sort
of critter that isn't human,
and won't remind me
that the world
doesn't want me,
doesn't care about me,
and never did.

The primeval feelings they court
Are thrills from kills as a cohort
The owners are betting
That this bloodletting
Attracts all to football as sport
Author's note: A celebrity commenter attributed the NFL's recent very high ratings and financial success to everything except the appeal of a violent game. The Romans exploited this emotion long ago at the Colosseum. If I watch a game, I find myself having these feelings, which I do not like. Solution: turn it off and peace out. Am I the only one?

In our soul is the light of our life, our inner being,
Our connection with Christ is through our soul,
It’s born within a baby, it's there til after life's end
It is an intangible part of us that is to be nurtured.
It drives us to divine heights we are able to achieve.
If your heart’s attributed to feeling love its your soul.
It is your human personality, intellect, emotions also
When your brain is praised for bringing words to life
It is your soul giving you spiritual enlightenment
It’s the urge to get up and try again, its divine
It is the light that is the spiritual essence
It is the love that radiates life's reason
No camera known will make it seen
Always inside us, an inner glow,
Your soul is you day by day
It’s strength, is from almighty God
You can’t ever see it or feel its there
It’s one of God's wonders, your spirited soul.

This astronomical event
Molted out of summer sunbeams
Causes an herbaceous retreat
Personified as sleepiness
More darkness less lightness describes
This astronomical event
More coldness less heatness results
From shorter indirect sunbeams
Tilting revolving rotating
Earth goes around again until
This astronomical event
Reassuringly reoccurs
Earthly inhabitants rejoice
Variously and celebrate
The season attributed to
This astronomical event

They stripped away my former self,
Reduced me to a mere shadow, for "maturity."
Before and after, I remained the same,
But different personas emerged, all in the name of "maturity."
No more colorful socks or shoes with playful straps,
I was told, "You're older now," by the voice of "maturity."
"Compose yourself," they said, "Your voice is too loud,
And your laughter is awkward," all due to "maturity."
"Look ahead, not behind," they advised,
"Your dreams are beautiful, but not for you,"
I was informed, at this stage called "maturity."
Before and after, I wondered, "Why?"
Same person, different facades, all attributed to "maturity."
Oh, "maturity," you've transformed me so,
But what's the path forward, I must know.
How to live within, not without,
How to embrace the truth, cast off doubt.
How to express, not withhold,
How to believe and feel, be bold.
How to return to the child within,
And learn, once again, to begin.
The fault, dear "maturity," lies not with me,
But with your heavy hand, you see.
Oh, "maturity," why change me so?
It's a question I'm left to ponder and mull over.

huge silence
There is a huge silence within each of us, beckoning us back into itself.
—attributed to Meister Eckhart
it’s always there
waiting to be noticed
the fathomless well
calling me inward
into the heart
of the heart
I swim down
deeper
find silence’s support
how it buoys
how it thirsts,
welcoming
those who remember—
held by the depth
thankful, I bow

Physical is the coat I wear-out
in the elements – the ephemeral
shell of me, and not the yoke, man's
embryo of spiritual wealth...longevity of
experience and immortal growth –
True! -- of the Eternal Now in my
biological years not one has convincingly
surfaced, risen above the depths of doubt
to undeniably attest, my only proof
the intimate echo of a heart-heard
voice, reciting from the velum of a
supposed soul, surfacing despite the negative
chatter of fatalists: lordly provocateurs
of fiery electrons, rejecting sparks
of individual ethereal sense: despite no two of
us ever proven exactly alike, each of us
the unlikely oddity of billions....
a mathematical contradiction that
can only be attributed to the reality
of a God....

The fall of man is attributed to Eve
Who urged Adam to eat the forbidden fruit
Such is the story ancient biblical scriptures weave
Bringing about, as is said, on all of mankind disrepute
Reserving judgment on whether this tale is false or true
Blind belief that we have sinned shrouds us in guilt
Heart contracts every day swallowing this brew
No wonder then facing storms of life we wilt
Instead if we say man and woman are one
Polarities of God’s singularity that split in duality
Then concepts and beliefs entertained come undone
Allowing us to holistically view the absolute truth in totality
Eve is certainly not the villain she has been made out to be
Quite to the contrary, Adam was incomplete without her
Such is the interpretation, which our loving eyes see
We hope dear reader, that with us you concur
