Julie tried every diet known to man
Weight-Watchers, Atkins, Keto, SOTA (State of the Art)
Low-carb, hi-protein, even vegan
Nothing worked; Julie gained weight
So she began to exercise madly
Which just made her menstruate late
Fed-up with it all, Julie took one last chance
She decided a starvation diet was needed
~ And she succeeded

Anna Atkins you may not know
but her photos were a fine show*
Some say the first female to create such art
grounding-breaking botany she did chart

Look at Tommy go.
See Tommy fall,
row after row.
Cut down by Maxim guns.
Sacrificial victims for the Huns.

Love lives within my soul
Never will I allow hate to take control
Longing for someone to hold,
God whispering into my ear, I will do as I am told
One day she will stand with me
Hand in hand, as happy as can be
My revolution is on the way
For my new love, I continue to pray
She's in bound and on her way
Mrs. Atkins .....

as the dawn light fast approaches,
as emotions they run high,
Are we paying lip service to the fallen,
do we ask ourselves why?
Why did young boys pay the price?
Why oh why did they roll those dice?
Those from wretched circumstances came,
Why did those young boys die?
As they play the last post solemnly.
As all heads are bowed to the floor,
On a frosty winters morn,
The colour red shines to the fore.
So as we think of Tommy Atkins,
Who gave his life off in the war,
Why oh why are men still fighting?
If that was the war to end all wars.

Rondelet: Democracy
"I'm fed up with democracy. In a democracy, people vote for the mayors. I wanted to build a city where I will choose the citizens." Emir (Nemanja) Kusturica, director and scriptwriter (with David Atkins) of the masterpiece: Arizona Dream (1993).
Democracy
One vote cast is carte blanche cast out
Democracy
Feeds small men constituency
The one-vote majority clout
Enough to send tough troops all out
Democracy

I’ve been on every diet known to man
Atkins, Lemonade, Cabbage and f-plan
And I’ve never lost a thing worthy of mention
But I try every new one, full of good intention
Now I'm on the Whisky diet, which I’m taking steady
And do you know I've lost three days already.

Christmas is coming, the geese are getting fat
I can’t wait till Christmas to eat some of that
Coz I’m on the Atkins diet and that’s a fact
I just hope that I don’t have a heart attack

A spirit as fragile as glass
A soul virgin in depth
As innocent to the world as to him or herself.
A stranger to emotions, a vessel covered in flesh and a unknown purpose here, on this earth
to be discovered , yet.
Circumstances surrounding his or her conception is not known, but the child is a "gift" from
one... to two...then back to one.
The Child is "joy" whether a daughter or son.
A world commanded by nine and not by ten, created of three, defined as one.
Let the writer's write about the child's world in view and inform the Gatekeeper to prepare to review .

A need to love, a need to be fed, a need for a safe place to lay your head.
A need to love, a need to belong, a need to know right form wrong.
A need for educaiton through committment and dedication in order to travel down the road of
graduation.

I wish you embrace this thought, " as a friend, you are not forgotten and the memories of you
are not lost".
I pray to ease your pain just like a leaf turning over slowly to catch the summer rain.
I wish positive things and positive dreams to encircle your life, again.
I wish for each valued memory to stand still by your side...just for you to treasure and to smile.
I wish all values embedded in you to reflect whom you are indebted too.
I wish for " the sound" of peace to reach you.
An embellished childhood friendship, never to grow old, as I write this to you, I wish these
words will become a phrase to ease your load.
"Revenge can be sweet or sour for it can poison the soul".
My wish and prayer, you now know.

In today's world we all have so many fears.
I have been full of them for the last few years.
I know the Bible says not to be fearful but have joy.
I know it's right, and that takes a lot of work, Oh boy!
Yesterday is gone, but the fears from it remain.
I remember those fears, plus those from today, a pain.
Tomorrow is not here yet, but I even fear it coming.
Even though I go through the day most of the time humming.
I shouldn't be fearful, but should try to remember this.
That God in His greatness, knows not time and please don't miss:
He was there yesterday, He's here today, and guess what?
He's in tomorrow already...so I tell myself a lot.
To sing this song and keep myself reminded where....
"Fear Not Tomorrow, God is Already There!"
* To hear this song go to www.youtube.com and search for "Fear Not Tomorrow"
by the Collingsworth Family...Listen to the words of Carolyn Atkins...Believe me...it will be
worth your time and effort!!!

It starts out with a goal,
But the foods you choose don't make you full,
So ask Atkins what to do,
This diet fad takes a lot of getting used to,
You lose the first ten with ease,
You celebrate with a cheeseburger minus the bun and cheese,
Now it's all down hill from here,
You have read too much into your diet and now it's not so clear

I'd like to tell a story,
About country singers of my day.
They had lots to sing about,
They had a lot to say.
Webb Pierce was from Nashville,
He sang right from the heart,
Hank Snow from Nova Scotia,
Was moving from the start.
Lefty was a great one,
William's made it big.
George Jones we often heard,
Didn’t make it to a gig.
Horton left us early,
Patsy Cline, she did so too.
Chet Atkins played a mean guitar,
Kitty Wells, stuck like glue.
Only just a few I've named,
Their fame will never die,
Statler brothers, Oak Ridge boys,
I love you, it's no lie.

Good or bad, I got somethin' you're gonna feel.
No tellin' what surprise is in yo' happy meal.
Got news for Atkins, phatty verbal starches.
Like pale paisley people prayin' to golden arches,
Or secret house-speak token spoken word
Smokin' understood, ain't doin', ya know good.
But, Ya bought tickets to the real life,
supposedly between the lines.
Like we're all backseat drivers
on someone else's drivin' time.
He know the way we're so proud to help him find.
Beltbuckles the bestial behemoth, binds belching brew's borrowed brine.
We all love lines that remind us what we did tonight.
'Cause this always sounds just like the one time,
I lost my mind.
