War To End All Wars

as the dawn light fast approaches, as emotions they run high, Are we paying lip service to the fallen, do we ask ourselves why? Why did young boys pay the price? Why oh why did they roll those dice? Those from wretched circumstances came, Why did those young boys die? As they play the last post solemnly. As all heads are bowed to the floor, On a frosty winters morn, The colour red shines to the fore. So as we think of Tommy Atkins, Who gave his life off in the war, Why oh why are men still fighting? If that was the war to end all wars.
