Premium MemberShe Dances

She Dances...Come With Me

Her gliding translucence~heaven’s kiss
Leaping lightly aswirl in twilight’s sweet mist
Her sprite easy leap~grandious pirouette
Into the night she blends in a dark silhouette
At dawn’s cold grey arrival, I awaken to rain
Drops plunking thick up on the window pane
Looking back my ballerina appears each night it seems
I am with her in every one of my dreams
End of late I just close my eyes to see her there
And she smiles come with me there’ll be no more despair

Premium MemberWhen Eyes of Turquoise Dyed the Skies

I see you ‘cross the vast expanse,
a love disguised in dreamy whirl
and clothed in raiment sun-spun gold
as wispy cirrus wraps your dance
the music of your sigh aswirl -
a breeze I feel but cannot hold,

but dance I will with memories
though for your arms I’ll ever pine,
I look to skies for bluest eyes
at times behind the tapestries
of cumulus both yours and mine –
the realm in which my angel flies.

Our love so like the lilac leaf
two halves that shared a center vein,
once green we were but now I fade
I’m torn in half without relief
the pain not washed away by rain —
this heart-shaped leaf afraid and frayed.

O touch me warm your slanting rays
how cold my soul you left behind,
to gaze through tears at beauty high
to wander through the haze of days
and know the planets misaligned —
when eyes of turquoise dyed the sky.

Alas, myself but cosmic dust
yet still, the stardust gilts the rust.

Premium MemberTinderbox

Autumn's at the mercy of unscrupulous wildfire
A tornado igniting forest walls with leaves aswirl
Flames of colors rare radiant orange sapphire
On glowing wind-borne embers storm, they twirl

October fires, dubbed the season of the witch
Destroying two hundred thousand acres in route
An unmerciful fate leaving a scarred barren ditch
Fierce arid gusty storms are furnaces in this drought

An exploding tinderbox from hades whence it came
A raging menace, water and powder could not rescind
Cherished homes and lush land now go up in a flame
Engulfing the timbers like matches invoked by wild wind

Be warned all pyro’s, the witches of Witch Creek set on fire,
Their smoke will fill your mouth, to tell what you’ve done prior!

Begging

Go away blue can
Go away cane
Come to us another time
Use another name
Are you fighting?
Are you bare?
If you don’t forget
Whoever will care?

Free from dross
Free from pain
All I ever wanted
Was your name
In the silence
Of the fog
Crowing silently
Not a frog

Call to me midnight girl
Let me see your skirts aswirl
If you never come to me
I will sit here silently

Premium MemberTears

I have often wondered when it comes to tears if I’m understanding them at all?
Is it brave to hold them back or more courageous to let them fall?

As we watch tragedies unfold in front of us…in our country every day
are tears a way to represent words we cannot say?

And long after the tragedy…when memories reappear
do these memories seep out of our eyes…are they what forms our tears?

When we remember those we loved…which reaction will we employ?
Will our crying be from sadness or will our tears be tears of joy?

I’m sure I do not know the type of tears that will be falling
my guess is that depends on on which memories we’re recalling.

I imagine memories of the person we loved will constantly be aswirl
with memories of the tragedy that took them and changed our world.

Perhaps we do not need definitive answers as to why our teardrops fall
Perhaps we do not need a reason to understand tears at all…

Perhaps when we see tears cascading we need not think of why they flow…
We only need remind myself how the rain helps flowers grow?

Premium MemberDreams

In the blank canvas of a room
Aswirl and pearled with long-clutched dreams,
Dreaming of the dream, dreams of the Great Path
Where lime juice tears from our eyes and the sun
Soft hug of skin reminds us of Christmas as children, these dreams,
These dreams inside small, expanding rooms racing along
Hot peace-rushing thoroughfares as along the satin lusty dreams as along
The bowing among flowers dreams as along the lonely room dreams within the
Dream Circle.

The dream stars, the constellating joy, oh dark, oh dark sweet joy,
Wish upon your floating pain and make it bare, laughable.

Yum Yum Girl

Who said the sun rises in the East?
That's not true in the very least....
The Sun rises and sets in the West
Where does dwell the very best...
My Yum Yum girl
Sweeter than molasses
Shining and brightening my way
Oh, I do bless
The very day
I set my eyes on my Yum Yum Girl
My heart has ever since
Been aswirl...
For my Yum Yum Girl
Tasty love beyond belief
Oh, what a relief...
To recapture
My Yum Yum Girl
My Yum Yum Girl

A smile that beams
Golden hair that gleams
How I love the laugh
Of my Yum Yum Girl
My Yum Yum Girl
Oh, my, oh my,
My Yum Yum Girl.
My Yum Yum Girl.
