ST FRANCIS AND ST CLARE : TWIN SOULS : PART 1

separated by vows of abstinence but
forever bonded by Light entwined
two parallel Orders twinned
in material poverty firm endured
with One Heart beating to
missions of Love ordained
in living Truth never adjourned

vessels of opposite gender
each frolicking happy dancing
and singing as children of
holy futures Assisi blessed
two exceptional

Oh Saintly friend
I feel your pain
The world you left us, now
Racked and strained

As patron
Of our Eden land
Destruction here
At human hand

So Francis,
From your lofty view
Come teach us, Spirit
Help us renew

This blue jeweled orb
That we call home
I fear we cannot
Do this alone

So perfectly
Your tender touch
Shaped lives, helped people
Created much

You gave away
Things you acquired
Opposite of where
Our hearts

Premium MemberI Am Saint Francis of Assisi

I have often been accused of being one of those,
people who hates people but loves animals,
but none of that is really true at all.
I do like people, but in all honesty,
I enjoy myself more when people aren't around me,
and I do prefer domestic, feral or wild animal company.
Move over Saint Francis of Assisi,
there's a new

Stepping out on a July afternoon,
hand up on forehead, squinting in the glare,
flick out the Ray-Bans, eyes become attuned,
descend the steps and stride across the square.
The amber lenses paint a different scene,
Palazzo Bernabei glows warmer hues,
the vines that cling to walls a richer green
bouquets of gift stall sun hats, whites and blues.
These glasses worn to

I So Love All Animals So Unconditionally,
that patron saint of all animals, Saint Francis of Assisi,
pales in comparison to yours truly,
still, kindred souls are both I and He.

Premium MemberA Letter To Saint Francis of Assisi

Dear St. Francis,

In a recent dialogue with a close friend, I became aware during the conversation that I made a statement that was misunderstood. I allowed it to remain that way, not pursuing a path of correction. The tone and subject matter was such that it was best to leave it that way.

Assisi: a Ventriloquism For My Grail

A leap across the hill-top,
Is an encounter with God.
Concealed in the language of history
The depth of human religiosity.

It rings true for me though
Those stories of Francis of Assisi.
Surely, striking the hallmarks of simplicity
In quietude where I cling to reality.

There is a twofold bridge in it,
That is historical and biblical.
That I must continue to face
The conundrum

While Financiers Assisi

While Financiers Assisi

The scriptures never claim
one day all whores will magdalen
and disbelievers paul.

There is no verse that says
one day all thieves will dismas
by the city gate

while financiers assisi,
their eyes, their tin cups up.
