I am looking out my dining room window, overlooking the birdbath in the small garden of my flat. The arum lilies have added a new bloom—just as the last one is dying off—beside the grave marker of my pet: not just any dog, but my trusty emotional support animal. A black bird takes an early morning bath in the yet icy-cold water, while another waits impatiently for its turn.

the arum lilies
are exceptionally showy
this year—

                the etymology
                     of my name
                         captured
                           by the S f U l Z o E w T e T r E s

it’s five months
since his passing

           plumose …

Sweet fragrance wafts through the air
But when I see Leony flower nothing can compare
Her beauty is captivating and her gunnen smile
for her garden a Titan Arum,
First I must tend and till the fertile soil

Premium MemberLeft Unspoken

between the words, silence spills, refracts
while a shadow traces the void you left
roots-entwined earth – too sacred to disturb
as arum lilies recall your grace

Premium MemberOne Thousand Flowers

Let one thousand flowers bloom
But choose one to your liking
What a beautiful watercolor loom
Where we can intertwine our lightning
The sepals must unfurl subtly
(then supplely) handle the pistil (Ahh!)
Stigma, style, pollen so lovely
Connecting anther and stamen by fistula

We are told to talk lovingly
     to our plants, no trashing
I want to bee above this flower hovering
And give a good tongue lashing
Then I’ll bump a daisy
And for her garden an Arum Titan
Flowers blooming and nothings hazy
As we sail on to the horizon

Now That

NOW THAT

        Now that the struggle exists
in commemoration meetings in museums
Now that soldiers can play with their dogs
Now that our heroes sing hymns in heavens
Now my love is even !

As the aspiring write story or song
or mothers play ping-pong too long
Now that the toys of children are iPhones
and directors create dancing clones
Now we know bones have no gender

Now we know hunger is only a lesson
and rage a rampant note going past
Now our eyes are but mirrors
through incoherent dark ages
                    Now we cast missing Light

So may I smell a good curry
or dwell with arum lilies
So may I hear my pitbull snoring
or squeeze a warm hand in the morning
Now that Goddess closes in !

Arum Palaestinum

Edible plants were hungry, most eaten raw.
My Mom's recipe abandoned, rockets salvoed.
Maiden roots are cut, water is decanted.
As many religious beliefs, in situ and ex situ versus.
So Earth's half million plants surrendered.
Forgive us, unhug you.

Anger Is Loser

What the truth is
What the lie is
The answer crafted in me a contradictory root

Sometimes I feel, I understand
I'm defeated by the lie

They are human where I think I'm nothing
At end of everything they are right being

Now, on the deck of loser
like the migratory birds, I'm
Willing to fly to goalless address;

Time crawling to the way of itself
like glittering water on arum leaf

For six months behind them
I'm snared by their good look

In their own cavern, they are busy
I'm abandoned prayer on my knee
Where the truth is, where the lie is
My anger lost all words of peace

And now, the anger or the peace
Advises me, "Be patient, please"
Where I learn- 'Anger is nothing,
But the weak child of knowledge.'

I'M the Me, Sin Refugee

I have no Lord!
I'm in no God!

Oh, I'm the punishment of the opened pains,
the cursed in the blessed world for the bragging

here in the inn of heart
the holy wine glass
filled with burning coal;
I drink it ravishingly as well as ravenously

I'm going to die
death kisses me mirthfully
I regain the life of humiliation

Oh, no mortification of thought
cuddling me
here I'm the me, Sin Refugee
wandering port to city
known to unknowingly

no home I make
on the dew of arum leaf
shining more than rising sun
but after a while much burn

I'm in the burned heart
burning odour I'm in the ghost
likely most living in death

For Katherine Jenkins

My soul was ruptured by crystal soprano
As I walk from door to door
Try to outpace my welling tears

Noble silver - perfect jewel
Reduce a man to burning fuel
Untill I spellbound dont exist

Your voice a bell , my disbelief
That could summon men to wander off
To dwell in wanton pergatory

and kneel in wonder of a eucharist
A radiant flame of holiness - an arum lily
The palor of thy countenance

Taste of Russian Ural honey
Lift me to the stratosphere
Never was heard a sweeter sound

I was born for hearing this
Surpassing every ounce of elegance
Surrender meekly to thy song of godliness

Release

Remove the clasps of mortal chain
My fateful grip of lifes lust and see again
The twisted rag of martyred flag
Delicious breath of freedoms chant

I hoist my banner of unspeakable joy
And release the dove that tells my love
Those demons have been cast into the sun
A cloak, a staff, a crown
Too much the moment
So far I've come

Dream for me my watchmen
Dance for me my doe of spring
Rehearse my song -
The Beast is gone
A chorus of daisies that sing for me
philharmonically
Arum lily aria empowers me

The zest inside
Spilling over infecting one and all
I find your eyes among a million souls
Can it be true?
Oh only say it is
All this would be upon our reconcile

Granny Had a Yellow Cat

Granny had a yellow cat Matty Sand-arum
She was fond of Cherry Blossom and bubblegum
                                       Cherry ached in her tummy
                                          Bubble is double balmy
She yelled out scummy gummy and fell into the scum

I Imagine You

I imagine you
always, for the first time
burgeoning like an
arum lily

Some exotic flower
falling off the back-end
of a truck, floating
with the breeze
into my hands

I imagine you
as I do, in certain dreams
statuesque in your movements,
so float towards me
as a dream,

I am a non-existent entity
propelled by your perfume
and midnight gardens light

When I imagine you
eternally, in the mirror
of my eyes.

Pearl Rain Droplets Dance

Pearl rain droplets dance
with the prosody of steady blowing air
on the heart stage of arum leaves
though for few seconds they carry on
Oh! How beautiful the scene it is

A Lover's Joy

Walk side with me to a valley,
And we shall be yonder pleasures of heavens light,
Of whose firmament, hills, groves, shining woods presume wonder.
And we will weight off our feet upon the hills,
Seeing swains tends to their torn flocks,
Quails harping to harmonic tunes,
And we shall made mat of Ambrosia,
With fragrant from Acacia, Aster, Azalea and Arum,
A hat of Begonia and a Larkspur crème,
Cross-stich with the bark of yellow birch.
Which through our intimate loving lay rest,
A metal slipper for the snows,
With buckle fashioned from alloyed silver,
An apple from Janna,
  	If suited thee
Walk side with me to a valley.
The tunes of heaven shall we dance,
	A coffee for your morning
If such picture delights thy heart, move
Walk with me to the valley, and be my Joy.
