For Katherine Jenkins

My soul was ruptured by crystal soprano
As I walk from door to door
Try to outpace my welling tears

Noble silver - perfect jewel
Reduce a man to burning fuel
Untill I spellbound dont exist

Your voice a bell , my disbelief
That could summon men to wander off
To dwell in wanton pergatory

and kneel in wonder of a eucharist
A radiant flame of holiness - an arum lily
The palor of thy countenance

Taste of Russian Ural honey
Lift me to the stratosphere
Never was heard a sweeter sound

I was born for hearing this
Surpassing every ounce of elegance
Surrender meekly to thy song of godliness

Hi Jan,it took a whole 6 months before I could pluck up the courage to see what she looked like. I fell in love all over again. She is more beautiful than Aubrey Hepburn .

A beautiful tribute poem, Jannie. Such is the powerful effect that the angelic voice of the God-gifted has upon the patient ears of the faithful. Akin to David's harp soothing melodious chords. Personally, I am very ignorant of Classical opera ... but the little I do know, I appreciate it's beauty as much as you do. Very inspirational poem, my dear friend. Love and smiles always.

You have described the human reaction to music they love very aptly. I have the same feelings with Pavroti. His power to encircle the listener with music is great. I am a sucker for a good tenor.

Hi sweet Agnes. You also have a gifted voice. I remember your hymn-like poem with piano. Thank you

I don't know who she is and if I write her name down, I won't remember on which paper! Jannie - you rock, not that she sings rock, but that you tried what I often have, to capture the way a song can capture you. I felt every well written line as written by your own goose flesh! A delight and 'relation' (my meaning: a subject point on which two people relate to each other, i.e., what music can do!) Hugs ... CayCay
